Jornada “Sendas geopolíticas de la transición energética: el Mediterráneo oriental” V.O./O.V.

Por tercer año consecutivo, la Fundación Naturgy y el Real Instituto Elcano organizan una jornada para analizar las implicaciones geopolíticas de la transición energética y explorar el panorama global dibujado por la transformación que estamos viviendo en el ámbito de la energía y el medio ambiente.
En esta sesión se abordó el potencial para la cooperación energética en el Mediterráneo Oriental, que abarca el desarrollo comercial de las reservas de gas natural de la región y el de las renovables, incluyendo los proyectos de interconexión eléctrica con Egipto e Israel y la cooperación euro-egipcia en hidrógeno verde, para identificar impulsores, barreras, así como implicaciones para la Unión Europea.

For the third consecutive year, the Naturgy Foundation and the Elcano Royal Institute organised a conference to analyse the geopolitical implications of the energy transition and explore the global panorama drawn by the transformation experienced in the fields of energy and the environment.
In this session we addressed the potential for energy cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean, which encompasses the commercial development of the region’s natural gas reserves and renewables, including electricity interconnection projects with Egypt and Israel and European-Egyptian cooperation on green hydrogen, to identify drivers and barriers, as well as the implications for the EU.
