Thanks for the first look, Andrew! Brooks shoes don't seem to get as much coverage as other brands but they sound great and the weight is very reasonable for a "max"-type shoe. I'm looking forward to the full review when you've spent more time with them.

Nice one, tnks for the info!
I saw at least one negative review from someone who dislikes the firm midsole. Any idea how it compares to the midsoles of the Hoka Mach 5?
The mach 5 has kinda become my main all-purpose daily trainer and in a way my reference point when shopping for fresh shoes.
The Hyperion Max should be more durable than the Hoka's, and they're even lighter. But they're pricey, and I'm not sure if the midsole will be too firm/stiff for me :/

Thank you for watching, the Hyperion max is firm but responsive. I do like the Hoka Mach 5 it is responsive with the pro fly + foam and the rubberized foam for the outsole. I feel that the Mach 5 might be good for your everyday running shoe and you can do speed work. The Hyperion max feels good with tempo work and speed work as well.

Fantastic review. Do you mind if I ask what your typical foot strike is (heel or mid foot or forefoot)? I ask because I'm typically a mid to forefoot striker and have run mostly in Altra but have been unhappy with their quality as of late. I had a run in the Brooks Glycerin 20 and loved it except it did feel weird having more foam in the heel where I don't even land. Would love your thoughts as a DPT on the viability of running in Brooks with their typical high drop if you're a midfoot/forefoot striker. TIA!

Thank you for watching and commenting. I am a forefoot striker. It seems to be ok with the 8 mm drop for me. The Hyperion max feels good at faster paces. So, I tend to want to run on my forefoot mostly on faster paces.
