When May said that she wishes she could hear as well, and then you said she still needs to hear Ai, so that gave me an idea of how about we can have select hearing, like cancel out all of the noise you don't want to hear but hearing things and people you want to listen to, that would be some super power lol
I'm like 95% certain May has already figured out that who she's been with recently isn't Oom. She probably felt something was off from her first meeting with Ai, but then has pretty much confirmed that this isn't Oom by their second meeting. I wonder what her relationship with Oom was like. At first, I thought maybe Oom was only in it for the money, but the fact that she kept her pictures and couple ring with May in a box under her bed instead of throwing it away, tells me maybe she had real feelings for her. I feel like May was probably the one taking charge in that relationship, whereas with Ai, they seem more like equals that lean on each other and listen to each other. Every time Ai tries to confess that she's not Oom, May interrupts her. I wonder if it's because she already knows and doesn't care, and just wants what they have to keep going or if she's just scared to be left again. I also have a theory that Paul might be the one behind May's blindness, but I could be off. In the trailer, we saw that May was attacked and that's what led to her blindness. What if Paul found out about Oom and May's affair and hired people to take her out? And maybe Oom found out about this, felt extremely guilty and that's why she left May and wanted Ai to be the one to fully end things with her, because she couldn't bare to face her out of guilt? I haven't read the book and haven't seen any spoilers (and I don't want to see any spoilers lol), but this is what I predict for now. I could be completely wrong lol.
