- This hunt was a fun, but hard one to make. As a hunter that makes content, this was a film that was hard to post. The shot placement on this mule deer was not ideal, but that is how it goes sometimes. Me and Cooper do our best every year to become the best archers we can possibly become. Sometimes that just isn't enough for the power of the moment. The moment we have trained for, hours in the gym. The hours and hours behind our bows shooting daily just to try and get as good as we can. The reason I made sure not to cut anything out of this hunt, is because this is what we as archers go threw sometimes. It is the heartbreak of bowhunting. But we were lucky enough to recover and get this buck! We are beyond thankful. THE LOWS OF SUCCESS is a hunt that hit hard for me, the camera guy\editor. It made me realize the power of 1 little moment. The moment that matters most. I hope you guys take this film in a good way. But there are plenty of ways to take it. Make sure to concuer every moment in the outdoors hunting. Especially the moment that is most important. The moment of pulling the trigger.

Admire the honesty. You're totally right, that's hunting. It is what it is. Everyone has an opinion and when you open yourselves up to the public eye... that makes you vulnerable. But glad this has a positive outcome. Nice job!

Wondering if anyone was going to point this out. A misplaced arrow can be forgiven. Generally speaking, this is never intentional and will most likely happen to everyone at some point! Choosing to take a questionable and unethical shot should not be excused. Probably safe to say that if it were a buck standing in front of a doe, that shot would not have been taken. As much as I enjoy watching these videos in the off season, I'm afraid the pressures of social media to produce content with a harvest, is causing today's hunters to make poor decisions that they may otherwise think twice about.

Geez guys y’all need to chill out bout the shot! SHOT Happens fer real… post editing mentions of the shot was 23 times… in 15 min of edited vid. Its awesome that you are engaging in doing what you love and making $ with it… 💪🏽 well done!

Take this bit as a criticism from someone with good intentions as an avid hunter: It is disheartening to see that you boys use 2 way radios for the stalk…. I guess Utah has changed from the moral tradition of fair-chase and it’s sad to see you boys not expressing the hunt in a pure manner where hand signals and playing the wind are your saving grace. Those parts are some of the most memorable portions of hunts!
Your potential to grow this channel is huge but a bit of unsolicited advice from a 24 year old... I think it’s important to just reflect the parts of the hunt and your values around hunting.
I believe Radios are used to radio your buddy when you’ve got a buck/bull down. The stalk is between you and the animal. How it should be.
It’s more pure and fulfilling when executed properly. Crutches keep you from growing, in every fashion of life. Good video and good buck! 👍🏼

Can learn from it. Watch it in .25x speed. Arrow does a hard right and the vanes then correct the course of flight. What spine are you running? Weight of arrow ? 125g broadhead ?
Yea I've done that on a basket rack whitetail, back of the liver, left him 4 hrs in 30 degree weather, jumped him up and he died 25 yrds running, no fun but hunting is hunting no matter what anyone says, If u don't like it don't watch hunting vids that all, bit great vid guys and well done
You can stick those bows up your wazoo. Ive seen way to many deer in my 53 yrs wounded from them. I don't care how much you shoot. No disrespect to you fellas. I give you all that. You are young guys and its awesome to see your generation keeping it alive. I just respect Gods creations so much and they deserve a non suffering death. Glad you got him. Its a challenge

Congrats on the buck and the quality hunt. The excitement never fails. I'm 63 and I just mad the same shot on an antelope out here in my home state of Nevada. luckily he died within 10 seconds. I shot a 4x4 muley 4 days earlier and made a perfect 50 yard shot. Goes to show we are not perfect but we keep at it. Keep the passion alive and don't beat yourselves up. you guys have what it takes to be the best so encourage each other never apologize.

Shit happens- that’s hunting. If you have not had a shit shot, a miss, or wound a deer, you have not hunted long enough. Hats off!
Also, it may have been the wind or deflection, but that arrow was planing tail right like crazy. Maybe check the tune before the next hunt.
