I agree with your interpretation, it is very likely that Yanhui's *essence* dissapears, we see this often in Cdramas, like in The Starry Love, Shaodin Youqin disappears but his soul shards remain. Yanhui's essence is depleted and dissolves and scatters everywhere but it is possible that her soul remains. Like Tianyao's soul, which Suying locked in the Soul Binding Wood, just needed some of his own dragon flame to unlock and reincarnate itself. Similarly, it could be possible that Yanhui's soul would have been trapped somewhere and her scattered essence somehow gathered in the same place in sufficient quantities to free her soul.
Yeah. Maybe, the flickering of the essence in everyone during the last minutes indicates the accumulation of the essence somewhere.
Thank you so much for this version , I am so invested in these series that I'm learning Mandarin to try and understand more than the subtitles ! I've found the end of the novel , and I am reading it, but I am happy this series has a happy ending so my heart is satisfied - (TTEOM I had to go and search for the kindly translated by fans novel to see their happy ending)

Number 1: In xianxia drama, reviving from the smallest bit of essence is very common. 15 years is really fast for that kind of thing. Technically speaking, Bai Xiao Sheng says 15 years have passed when talking to Tian Yao, but the drama doesn't specify how much time has passed between that conversation and Tian Yao meeting Yan Hui. 🤷♀️
Number 2: The drama makers probably made a mistake, good catch. Perhaps it's possible they have been cultivating and don't age like normal children? 😆
Yea this part was problematic to me imo. The age of the children don't match the age of Yan Hui's appearance as an adult either. 😂

i think this drama was great - but it kills me that they always show the last scene in the movie end credits.

Which part are you referring to? The kiss scene? It happens right after the scene fades to black with the words "The End".

Beaucoup trop d'incohérences dans ce drama, c'est bien dommage parce que j'ai beaucoup apprécié le couple principal et jusqu'à l'épisode 26. Après plus rien n'est pareil, trop de longueurs, des scènes totalement inutiles, je me suis énormément ennuyée et une fin complétement bâclée. Sur la première partie de cette série je mettrais un 8/10 et sur la deuxième partie je mettrais un 4/10.... A se demander si c'était toujours le même réalisateur et les mêmes scénaristes pendant toute la saison ??????
They actually switched main screenwriter after episode 15 😅. Online Chinese postings indicate it was due to differences in views between the screenwriter, original author, and producer about the script direction and style. After the original screenwriter left, the new team rewrote the script. That might be part of the reason for inconsistencies.

Je comprend mieux pourquoi j'ai trouvé des changements scénaristiques et aussi au niveau de la réalisation, ben désolé de le dire, les deuxièmes scénaristes sont beaucoup moins bons, y a pas débat. Pour moi clairement la première partie était nettement plus agréable et cohérente.
