Ugh...Chinese dramas...why can't they give a nice closure...all the c dramas I watch either have a sad ending or an open ending! 😢
😆😂🤣 That is so true. This is why I usually watch the first few episodes of a Cdrama and wait to watch the last episode before binge watching the whole film. The directors and scriptwriters have this about a "Romeo and Juliet" type of ending where either the male or female lead dies or both leading characters die, preferring death to life when living and dying amounts to the same kind of courage. The thing about open endings is that it's either the writer of the novel really killed off the protagonist but the director and scriptwriters of the film are more concerned on getting large amount of viewers so if the protagonist gets killed off, they would lose a large amount of audience, this is why we have open ended endings. LOL. Sometimes people in the film industry, just don't understand that films are what the public turns into for giving us something to look forward to when were stressed out or depressed. He seek hope and encouragement through the movies we see. If you try to check out on google search engine why did the movie industry grow during the Depression?
People were able to forget about the despair and hardship of the Depression for precious hours, or even for just a few minutes. The public need for escapism led to the rise of new film genres and the reworking of old ones.
If you watched many Wuxia drama, Open Ending usually goes hand in hand..leave for the viewers interpretations..

Personally. I hate these types of cliffhangers. Unless you do a Season 1 and 2 back-to-back, like Blue Whisper cleverly did, it takes forever to see S2. Take Joy of Life, took all this time for S2, also Sword Snow Stride, we are STILL waiting on that one. When it takes so long to have the continuation, one has the tendency to forget many aspects of the drama. Unless of course, they play a little bit of S1 at the beginning to remember in order to move on to S2.

The thing is, the Chinese policies are rough now. They ruined the chance for the drama TILL THE END OF THE MOON ends properly because there would be more. Then I think it'll affect this drama too.😢😢😢

The ending kept the audience on their toes. It's hard to know who is the true Wufing leader. I wish Gong Shangjue and his lady love could have a life together, especially since she is now pregnant. I hope season 2 will have them reunite with their child. That baby is going to be one martial artist taking after his parents.

Still not sure she is really pregnant or just saying it to manipulate Shangjue. She was fighting pretty fierce for someone that's pregnant. Shangjue proved to be just a softie and easily manipulated by Shangguan Qian despite his fierce demeanor. And she's good at lying to get what she wants so you never know whether she's being sincere or lying. Remember what her handler said to her: Shangguan Qian loves only one person: herself.
My prediction is that a swap between the twin sisters has taken place. It’s yuweishan’s long lost twin sister who has returned to the Gong residence in disguise as the real yuweishan. Main lead is going to find out eventually as the drama unfolds. Another prediction is that the infinity heat will be unleashed

This was also my feeling too.. the twin sister comes back.. Who is behind the screen? I hate open endings too.
But if she is disguised as Yun Wei Shan, how come he didn't smile with joy and got up to run to her? I think the twin sister comes through as herself to tell the Sword Shielder that his lady love is once again a prisoner of Wufeng. I also think that Shangguan Qian will come back either still showing her pregnant belly OR she has the baby and she comes back to Gong Shang Jue. She has turned a new leaf cuz of the baby and she will win his trust again and she will join the new war with Wufeng to rescue Yun Wei Shan. Or something like that. lol The infinity heat is a crazy addition, esp since half of it is on his beautiful back. 😁
Disappointing ending. Didn't expect it. Hopefully they will do a S2. But how long will that take?
It was a rushed ending😢. Hope they make season 2. I was left wanting for more the same way I did watching princess agents
Same thing but I got to broke the news that they’re not going to air season 2 for Princess agent and the journey to you because the actor does not have the time and money to work for the season 2 due to the other drama that they’re working. 😢

Believe me chinese entertainment does not stop on one actor 's whims but rather " directors decision" along with " censorship contentment "..
Great drama, but too bad the story & characters that built intensely from the start became of waste because of the ending. They didn't do justice to some of key roles, wish there'd be extra episodes to give them a proper closures.
Why wufeng leader always use a hoodie...is it possible that he/she is actually some one we know..lol....😂😂😂
The best of best drama in 2023. So enjoyable and kept me watching till the end. I am grateful no more excessive 頭飾either actress or actors.
It’s also different than what currently we are bombarded by 仙俠or different sectors of 族.
The only thing that I don’t like about this drama is the inconsistency when it comes to their martial art skills.
It was said that Gong Sang Jue is more powerful than any of the Wufeng’s Wang. That’s why they had to attack when his internal skill was lessened. But then it was revealed that his internal skills was not really lessened that day because it was part of their plan. So he supposedly had his FULL power. Why then did they struggle to defeat 1 Wang? It was even two against 1 Wang and he even almost died because of that fight. 😂
Also about Jin Fan. He was very powerful because he used to be a red jade guardian (the highest rank for any guardian). But why did he struggle in fighting Shanguan Qian when she was just a Mei in Wufeng?😅
Completely agree. It's like they needed to make everyone almost die at the end just to be extra dramatic.
Shangjue against againts the fourth level assasin who destroy the Gong family 10 years ago. It is reasonable that he face difficulties. Jin Fan has to face second (Shangguang) and third level assasin while he try to take medicine not to kill them. But I still salty about Xiao Hei death. Wufeng should bring army.

Yep , agree with you , hate the inconsistency the skill level of martial art , sometimes overpower but sometimes so weak , and i though the eps about the battle is to rush , only the battle scene master xue was good
I love everything else except the ending. Why do an ending that confuses people? All the fighting just to end with a(n) confusing ending is a big no-no! If there’s a S2, it’d better show that the two can be happy because he’s stuck in the palace forever. If not, I would go and watch #LoveYouSevenTimes all over again.
I came here because this drama did me dirty, i was so confident its going to a happy ending, until the last 4 mins of episode 24😭 im so pissed y'all, im so annoyed 😭😭😭 why? why? I badly need season 2😭😭😭

If any of you loved Young Master Yue, catch him as the ML of The Snow Moon. Yes they are shorties, but I personal love those at times. Also he's so good in it.
This story could be end with more episodes and would give a satisfying and fulfilling ending. There would not be so many unnecessary speculations. The two spies fell in love with their victoms. The one of them helped the sword master to save Gong family and choose to live happily with him.The other one was pregnant but chose to cheat the second leader and stay with Wufeng? Is she really loved him? Why all the elders had to die and why they have to do a season 2 after i dont know so many long time and losing their invested viewers? Such a good drama but with only viewers that have to pay in order to see the full episodes. Is this some kind of promotion strategy of this channel? 🤔 i think its a way for such good and quality stories to go in vain and make the fans furious and frustrating.
I totally agree with all the other comments that a lot of these historical cdramas have open endings & season 2 never happens or it takes forever to come out. Why do they do this it only makes viewers upset & disappointed 😡😔😢.

Elder Yue, Lady Wuji and Han Yasi have the same martial skills from Wufeng but howwww?
Wufeng originated from Gong Men back hill Feng family so Wufeng knows the claw technique that Elder Yue used. Lady Wuji and Han Yasi are part of Wufeng and thus also know the technique.
Weishan’s twin sister is a Liang and she has taken Weishan’s place and returned to Gong residence as Weishan. Shanguan Dian has teamed up with ShangJue and returned to Wufeng as a spur for Gong. DaiShan wants to rule the world with Infinite Heat. To take over the royal family and the martial world she needs this tool.

Very good drama. But spoiled with open ending. All the actors worked hard in cold frizzing water and over land. They had to lose weight for shoot. Should be session two for their hard work and satisfying viewers.

Wufeng is from the “Feng” family of the back hill. Maybe that’s why the Wufeng leader has a green jade guardian on her side.

One of the elders explains about the Infinite Heat in one of the last episodes. He talks about “infidels” at the back hill. I wonder whether these infidels or traitors are part of the Feng family. What are your thoughts?
I do hate and love this type of ending. I am satisfied with that rather than seeing all the fighting and bloodshed again. Season 2 will promise to have more dead bodies, and I dont know if I can keep up with the lost 😢
The sad part is how 🤔 all characters are portrayed as "super clever" while concretely,the scenario make them say and do just the opposite..I mean how come Shang guan qian didn't know all about the setup ...
"Her running away part" is completely nonsensical; at least she would be jailed , especially she let Gong shangjue know about her pregnancy!!!! In a sect that desperately needed heirs !
Plus, the dialogues stretche too much on screen ,you can't have characters talking for 15mn /20 that's crazy!
I consider it as a crime if they don't make a sequel this year otherwise people.will forget all about it..

I really felt the chemistry between Gong ziyu & weishan , they were always sincere & you could feel the love where as Shaunquan & Shang jue, she was always smirking & never sincere, I just didn’t any chemistry with them

Not sure who Gong Sang Yue is. Do you mean Gong Yuan Zhi? Gong Shang Jue's younger brother that died is Gong Lang Jue. He treats Gong Yuan Zhi as his brother but they are cousins. There are four gong families (Yu, Jue, Zhi, Shang) each with different dad. Only Gong Zi Yu and Gong Huan Yu share a dad.

I don’t want to use the word lame but is too plain of the ending. The actor really work hard to act the characteristic but the plotting of the story is too simplistic rushed. Is like family mysteries are solve and spy has got ride off but the ending no love except one the sister. Plus there’s some regrets pair of brother that they didn’t have the happy ending.

Didn't like the ending at all. there were too many unanswered questions. What was the point of going through all that to end up with such a terrible ending.
I had a WTF moment when the credits suddenly appeared. Worse ending of the year.

They gave a half-assed, nonsensical explanation that doesn't even make sense for the sake of simplicity and wrapping things up.
The sub-plot revolving the mystery identity of Anonymous (which they spent most of the plot finding out) and the culprit behind the murder of the Sword Master and his father forcefully linked together in a sloppy explanation that makes zero sense.
Firstlty, it doesn't make sense for Anonymous to turn out to be a gullible, simple-minded lady, that was so easily used as a tool for someone else'a agenda, and then conveniently killed off. Most of the assassins from Wufing are extremely well-trained cunning, deceptive, and distrustful. The ones that aren't obviously would not survive long, considering their profession.
Anonymous, who was one of the few assassins that managed to get into the Gong household and stayed there, without being caught, should be exceptionally skilled at deception.After all, she is Mei level. It literally makes no sense for her to end up being a gullible, somple-minded lady that was so easily deceived and used by someone else. If she was so simple-minded, she would never survive so long as a spy in the Gong household.
Also, randomly making Shanguan Qian out of character (portraying her as someone that would collaborate and completely trust someone she just met) for the sake of plot convenience, completely destroys her character.
Very disappointing ending for a drama that had so much potential
Also, the secondary male and female characters, their relation, motives, etc are far more interesting than the main female and male lead.
