I’m going back to Alaska next summer for a friends wedding. I’m contemplating a princess cruise rather than flying. You’re packing tips were spot on. Plan for anything, and layers are a must.💕

This year I am working at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge in Guest Services. I'm loving the job and we're an hour away from Talkeetna. --- The Northern Lights are more visible from late August onward. All those last ports (not sure on Seward) you mentioned are covered by Seaborn.

I know exactly what your mom is saying about needing a more relaxed cruise not so port intensive..I have a princess cruise booked to alaska in September for 11 days, 3 sea days before Alaska and 2 sea days after! Leaving from San Francisco.

We are headed to Alaska in 3 weeks. We are doing Anchorage (& Denali) for 6 days then 2 days in Juneau. Will take your advice with the clothes/ packing.

❤I know the cruise ships are wheelchair equipped but on an Alaska cruise are the tour busses and trains wheelchair equipped? I wanted to go a river cruise but they are not at all handicapped friendly. You both traveled a lot so do you have any suggestions? I am 76 years old and my livein aide (my nephew) is 22 years old. Something for me to relax and something to keep him entertained (and a lot to eat). Thanks have been watching your vlog a long time.

Loved our Alaskan trip, consisted if a 1 day cruise, guided salmon fishing tour, several other guided tours kayaking up to the glaciers and train ride, Denali train ride and then just plain hiking trips. It was 2 weeks long and we loved it. Consider too Banff if you haven't gone, it's breathtaking without some of the bad weather and mosquitos!

I lived there for 40 years and saw a bunch of Alaska but, will be doing a cruise next year to visit some locations unavailable as Sara said except by air or sea.

Alaska Group cruise 2025! Ha! I’m ready for another Princess cruise to Alaska. I was on Royal Princess last year and after 3 cruises to Alaska, Princess was by far the best for exactly what you said. They allow Alaska to be the star. I’m trying Discovery Princess to Mexico in October and Caribbean Princess to Caribbean next February and agree the Medallion is amazing.

Iwant to spend an extended visit to Homer (was there in 2013), Seward & Valdez, & perhaps a separate trip to Kodiak for the crabfest. If money was no object, I would love to take the cruise on a smaller ship to Glacier Bay & all the port stops such as, Hoonah, Haines, Skagway, etc. Another possibility would be the Alaskan State Fair the end of August maybe as part of a land tour visit. Speaking of the shoulder seasons, my visit in 2013 was late September & the first week of October and it was beautiful, great weather, no mosquitoes, better priced flights and accomodations--some restaurants & businesses had closed for the season but it was a great & memorable trip!

Lived in Anchorage for 40 years. Homer was my refreshing place where I could relax and rejuvenate.
