      It's on my list of places to paddle! I think my Session will like the Paper Clip channel. It's a cartwheel machine. That out flow channel could be fun on my paddle board.
      The white water on the New and Gauley transformed Fayetteville, WV into one of the coolest small towns in the country. GF might not get that big of a boost but...They built it and paddlers will come. Outfitters, restaurants and craft shops could do well there. I'm sure the rent and property prices are very affordable.

    Thanks for the tour. The river left channel outside the paperclip looks fun.

    Good to see you in the SuperNova. Fun to watch you interacting with the waves and chatting it up with other paddlers. Good wave at Outflow Channel. Thanks for posting.

    Just watched Matt's video, Players Paradise, was nice seeing so old school mix with new, that other channel was one huge glass wave!

    Great video! I see everyone using the Lettmann paddles to playboat now.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hahah I know right and Actually I highly recommend not using it for that.
      I have select paddle for that I just didn’t have it with me just the Gpower and lettman and no way i would take that Gpower on this course or even attempt to play with that one..

    Thanks! I'm an old fart who has never whitewater paddled (although I've paddled a lot) but have great intention to. An engineerd course like this would be a boost here, where there is little to no natural whitewater.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah it’s in a area with really nothing

      @@WadeHarrison So there's hope for here (Iowa) with lots of water, but no "whitewater" - unless it's flooding (and some parks long pending). Paddling flood water is an adventure, but dicey and polluted. Hog farms. Barbed wire.

    So total newb here so please excuse the ignorance. I live near this feature so recently got some kayaks mainly to flat water kayak and explore the area. I need the exercise and while I'm rather confident my sit on top angler isn't right for the paperclip I also have a 10ft Pelican Argo 100X while I wouldn't take it into the left channel with the more natural features would this be a decent kayak to attempt the paperclip or should I just avoid that till upgrading to a more substantial Kayak if I choose to learn to do rapids later on?

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would so don’t try it unless you have some whitewater experience so it you do wear a kayak helmet and be ready to swim the entire thing

    Curious if you’re in the Nova or the SuperNova. We’re about the same size. I currently have a Nova for familiar runs but wouldn’t mind trying a SuperNova to see now much harder it is to throw around.

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m coming out the winter so little chunky right so in the supernova but will be paddling the nova this summer I fall in that in between weight in these.

    This would be 1,000 times better than anything we have in Utah, but the community is building and I refuse to loose hope.

      Yeah this was close to 20 million and this area it’s located will really benefit from this so I get it there’s a lot of factors in play with these things but I love this and will be here more

    So Wade now does course previews… global?? And get Wade to go down the race lines like they do in MTB that would be sick

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Global well I have only been to a few parks and right now Charolette whitewater park is number one by a wide margin. And as far as race lines there are non at this great falls spot the course is very short

    Can this be done on a river tube

    • @WadeHarrison

      I would say yes there was paddle boards all over out there so easy to see a tube out there

    Is there a shuttle?

    • @WadeHarrison
      @WadeHarrison  ปีที่แล้ว

      No not for the long paddle part you have to run your own shuttle but for the section in this video is all paddle in and paddle right back to your car
