Been to Newcastle many times. Best part is the driving range (covered and heated in the winter) and golf instruction from Matt and Andrew. Course quality for both courses (China and Coal) is less than average and way too expensive for what they offer. OKI golf took them over and ruined the value. As of 2020, they did not have a 9 hole rate so you will pay full 18 hole rate no matter what. Also, it is always overcrowded with other activities (i.e. weddings, business meetings etc.) on the weekends. Best days to go to the range are Monday and Tuesday. Sunsets are spectacular. Seattle skyline view is amazing too. They also have a bagpipes player at dusk, which is really cool. Ironically, the thing that sucks the most is the golf. Overall, 3 out of 5 "stars". There are many other better courses within 30-45 minutes.

Newcastle is the most overpriced course in the state. Coal Creek is a goat ranch track. China Creek is the better track, but lesser view. $75 max Not the $200+ they try to charge you
