@@GanonAutumn777 That's consistent with the way True Neutral works in CoC/the original release. As long as you're able to fuse Amanozako, Khonsu, Fionn, and Shiva, you get to challenge Transcendent Lucifer. On the one hand, a bit of a dick move gating him behind secret conditions. On the other hand, the way they buffed him it makes some sense to hold him back from level 80 players who just cleared the main content and nothing else.
This track is incredibly undersold ingame. The drums for this are actually the background melody of The Final Battle from SMT 3 Nocturne, and it also has the same musical motifs from Battle Daat and Human demons and... as well as the fact Eon I is actually meant to simply be the intro to Eon II, and the transition from Eon I to Eon II really makes it shine, but True Dark Lucifer needing Shiva, and you on average being over leveled for Lucifer really kills the great atmosphere there could have been.
I seriously don't understand why to have this fight you need to beat Shiva who has a higher level, like it's something so basic there's no way they didn't realize the absurdity of it
After you beat him his "robotic" shell should have cracked open and revealed another form for the "true final boss" that's lvl 95 like maybe a throwback to his original angel form (Helel)
A new True God accompanied by his two Goddesses, knight, mascot, and a gremlin attempts to ascend even further to shatter multiversal order. And I'm here for it.
Interesting enough the more I think about it there may be a way to make it to the true final boss without overleveling to fight Shiva. All you have to do is use a herald on your team and save the magatsuhi meter to use God's shield when Shiva charges his magatsuhi. Granted it would probably make physical builds take longer in the fight but it can bring some challenge to the bosses after it. I have not tested this myself since I don't have the energy to replay through the whole game from scratch, so this was just some theoretical food for thought.
You can beat Shive at LV80. People have done it. If you do, the lowest level you could be for True Dark Lucifer is 87 since Shiva gives you 5 Level Ups. and all the other bosses in the Empyrean will net you another 2 Levels.
I love SMT V, but that design oversight is so massive, the fact that you have to go out of your way to make bosses hard, because if you go so much as 6 levels above they will be significantly easier. In other games even if you were a high level, it did not mean you couldn't die to something lower leveled, it just meant you had more stats, and more hp, and more damage. All that added up to making leveling a nice way to show progression and get more powerful, or gain access to new crucial demons. Whereas now leveling needs to be in a fine balance to be able to enjoy everything that the game has, and have some sort of challenge. If they make a final edition of SMT V, it could very well be the best smt game by far. If you look at the difference between smt iv, and iv apocalypse. In my opinion, smt iv apocalypse is better than the original, but both are great games. An smt v final could fix everything that v did wrong, while improving upon the system. I really hope they decide to go that route, instead of just working on smt vi for 10+ years. i wouldn't be mad if they reused assets, because its all for the sake of letting them develop and change what needs to be changed, because smt v needs some fixing.
Well, if you really want to fight Lucifer without being overleveled, you can just start Newborn NG+, and re-fuse the demons without using compendium saved lv99 ones. Since you already beat Shiva in previous playthrough on same save file, the path to True Ending Lucifer is unlocked by default.

It's a real shame that to get this track, you have to beat Shiva, meaning you absolutely stomp the endgame. If there is a V Maniax, the endgame as a whole needs adjusting, but this fight in particular needs to be much, much harder. The dude has surpassed God and I shat all over him.

@@kablaziken Lucifer in IVA did not go above the level cap, as he is Level 75 during the YPR fight, and Level 90+ during the YHVH Universe fight. Satan is the one who goes to Level 120
