Fighting the Luxtructosaurus (Alex's caves Eruption update)

- This boss is awesome or I might just have something for dinosaurs but who cares!
The suspicious stews I used were dandelions.
I spawned everything in creative mode but all of it was base game.
(except the club)

Damn, there was music? Something must have bugged out for me, because during my fight I heard no music, and this sounds awesome!
The way I defeated this boss was by basically flying around him with an elytra, and occasionally landing a hit, then retreating as he dealt too much damage. Worked like a charm (but took away longer), though I get not everyone is going to have an elytra ready for this bossfight.
That's a neat video btw! I like how you're providing explanation for your strategy with captions, as well as giving very useful info on the boss's mechanics!
Easiest way to fight it is using ray gun to stop regeneration, Galena gauntlet with netherite sword and spam dreadbow
With those item the fight lasted 40 seconds
I wanted to show a base game kit but that is a really easy way to fight him as the dreadbow is really powerful, but that requires fighting a boss as well, raygun isn't to necessary as he barely regenerates at all though, I think he has Damage resistance on normal bows but not the dreadbow.
@@rollermcpoller I would have to say that forsaken is more of a miniboss with it lacking a obvious healthbar.
@@kamacha0sit still has 250 hp which is more than the dragons in ice and fire and the ender dragon so i consider it a boss or a very tanky miniboss but its fair to think it is miniboss as it is easier to kill than the lux under normal circumstances
@@rollermcpoller I would still consider it a miniboss sense realistically if you do fight it you do have a better chance winning (in mostly vanilla gear) compared to some of the bosses mentioned (besides ender dragon, its pitifully easy.)
also alexander mobiles did state that lux was the FIRST boss in the caves iirc
If you didn't know diamond armor has 20 defense and i forgot an N in tectonic shard
Correction: the club works on it, its just really janky to hit but you can stun lock it and slowly kill it all with the club
5:39 im still using diamond but i have a skill tree giving me better regen, more hp and more defense aswell as more strenght.
I just tamed four tremorsauruses and then went all out
I fought that on a mineacraft server, i still had diamond armor, and my friend just summoned it without even telling me, and they just quitted after summoning it, just lefting all the job to me 😭 (i killed him without dying, managed to glitch em)
I tried summoning it again with another friend, and actually telling them, we weren't prepared this time 😭. I died to it like 30 times
ender pearls can help too, especially if you have feather falling on your boots
Didn't think of that, that would be a good way to get out of magma
I found out a cheese for lux the other day. Just get a club with Swift Wood 3 and Unbreaking 3 and the fight is winnable nearly 100% of the time. Just stay away from volcanos.
put bonking on as well cause that increases the time something is stunned by like 5 seconds which means you can safely get a sword strike or two in.
@@rollermcpoller oh neat I thought it only made mobs that drop heads drop heads.
@@Auxi0usmaybe it does and the time it stuns is random because i was getting alot of 14 secs with it for some reason but i think your correct and i just had weird numbers when i put it on for testing

what I would suggest is getting a cross bow with quick charge and magnetic arrows, these can do some nasty damage quick (multi-shot too for more damage)
Do you mean seeking arrows or magnetic potion arrows, cause seeking arrows are really good to spam at it.

I think it is an undead mob so using Smite will deal more dmg to it
That is worth testing I plan on making a video going over modded weapons and various strats and enchants to use against it.

You can put smite on the club to just keep whaling on him with that
