Although I am not good enough to beat this kind of map, I like watching skilled players finishing in one life these CBT style maps. And the visuals are pretty nice, they are it's own art form

Man, I wouldn't blame you if this were multiple segments, so well done. Gnarly start (there was a 3% health I think), but got the feeling the second half was easier because of the multiple invuls.
This is my 3rd single segment run of this map, so I know it pretty well now 😄

Thanks mate. That was the room I spent the most time on during routing. It didn't really play out as I had planned though.
After hitting the 3rd switch the time I spend working on the HKs is designed to pull the imps far enough out of their lane that I can sneak in behind them and clear out the viles. It sacrifices ~60s to save a couple of mins during cleanup.
But I didn't really do a good enough job of protecting my 2nd mega, so I had to take the 3rd one before pushing in for the viles, which meant I could only do one pass at them before I had to leave the room entirely.
So I only half killed the viles, and they rez'd a lot of HKs and drew out cleanup more than I would have liked.
Nicely played.
It seems as though zeromaster has got some competition.

I can't remember seeing the death count going down and up with other demos. Is there a reason why? Other than that, such an amazing work.
It's because of all the arch viles resurrecting stuff - the kill count always shows how many monsters are alive, not how many I've actually killed.
Should have been a midi version of raining blood playing for this, crazy 🤣

Not too long. This route is an adaptation of a TAS route by RedRecluse, with some changes I made to make it more consistent. This is also my 3rd exit (first using this route though), which made adapting his route pretty easy.
The biggest change is in the wing at 5:20, since the TAS route for that was very inconsistent.

When firing the bfg you should not turn immediately away from monsters: most damage it's not done by the green ball but by subsequent invisible rays. You loose them while facing walls.
You're confused about how BFG tracers work. The tracers are emitted from the player in the direction you were facing *when you fired the shot*. Turning after firing doesn't change what direction the tracers will fire.
You can test this out easily against a single low tier enemy in a wide enough space. Fire your shot so it hits a wall behind the enemy and turn away while the ball is in mid air - the enemy will die.
