Delicious, colourful, tasty looking meal! Great idea to pack out the meat/ready made stuff with extra veg, healthy, satisfying and economical. Your chaps are very lucky!
One of our spinach plants bolted almost before it had any leaves on it! I guess you'll have to just use the fronds and seeds of the fennel instead.

Looks good Lizzy, sometimes we all need to cheat in meals to make life a bit easier. Sorry about the Fennel and Rocket you grew, can be so disheartening when that happens because of all the effort it takes to get things to grow.

It's a new veg for me too, I was always so scared because of the aniseed taste, but it is so mild and subtle I love it

Susan i have never ever eaten fennel what would you vompare it too is it peppery like radish or is it more like pok choi? can you eat it raw or cooked ? Px Thankyou

It has a crunchy texture like celery when raw and that's how I had it, it has a slight aniseed taste 💕

I grew it once and it was licorice-y like hyssop or tarragon
