They never stopped the tradition of the goal post chop. That year Minnesota butthurt coach stood infront of one of the goal post with his players preventing the chop. it resumed the following years

Rivalry is healthiest when purpose, values, and respect is present. Many Wisconsin athletes go to Minnesota. Many Minnesota athletes go to Wisconsin. I was the former.

@@NicholasD Sorry it took me an hour to reply, I was watching NC State destroy Wisconsin. A couple of very talented starters from the state of Minnesota play'n for the Badgers this year.

carefulcarpenter omg sorry for not responding in so long, I was watching Wisconsin’s back to back Final Fours and National Championship game. Does Minnesota have a basketball team yet? If so when are they going to be relevant?
As a born and raised Buckeye from rural central Ohio I can honestly say that behind OSU vs Michigan rivalry this is my second favorite rivalry in College football. I like almost every other team in the Big ten (for whatever reason it is tough for me to ever pull for MSU unless they are playing out of Conference) although it is a little tough getting used to watching and footing for Rutgers and Maryland. Nebraska seems like a more natural fit to the conference. But I have always really liked both of these programs along with Iowa and PSU, so I always try and watch this game or follow it as long as it does not conflict with a buckeyes game. Great rivalry and a great clip to give some of us outsiders a little context to the rivalry. Go Big Ten and go Bucks!!! The Sec sucks!!!
This rivalry makes the Big Ten West relevant. So with Iowa. I played when it was the BIG 2 and the Little 10.

This has been a truly special season for Gophers fans. And it all leads up to the most anticipated rivalry game for MN I've ever experienced. Rivalry record is tied, Championship berth on the line, and a chance to head to the playoffs if we beat Ohio State (however unlikely, still a possibility). No matter what happens from here on out, this UMN alum will never forget how awesome and exciting 2019 has been :)
Cute to think that Minnesota would even come close to the playoffs.
What's weird is the trophy was "lost" in 1940s but the score was added until 1969.
