What a great interview. Greg Judy is humble enough to tell about the mistakes that have happened, and the lessons learned, and to share his knowledge. I especially liked what he says at the end of the video, about not being able to do it all on a farm--finding your passion, what you wake up thinking about and focus on that. Sage advice, on a farm or anywhere else in life. A wise man indeed.

Amazing. I'm definitely going to watch this again. An HOUR with Greg Judy!! Many YTs have docu-interviewed Salatin, and there's been some with Judy, but I've never seen one this well-done -- so informative, thanks very much Mike. And thanks Greg for sharing and taking the time. Touched so many of the important topics.
From comments on this video, Mike, I gather that much of your audience is more veggie oriented and less familiar with Greg Judy. Under that assumption, let me say to those just being introduced to him, in brief: Greg Judy is to raising ruminant animals as Elliot Coleman is to raising vegetables: learned from previous "organic" (for lack of better term) non-mass-industrial growers and their methods; made impressive innovations; promote natural-oriented food growing; have successfully, passionately, and effectively spread the message. (Salatin notwithstanding, who of course is also very awesome).
Seriously, bro, you deserve some kind of special reward for this, I hope it come in the form of YT dough

Man talking about a wealth of information not only grass-fed but just plain common sense. And the part about not doing everything but doing what's your passion makes a lot of sense. Great interview lots of valuable information and he's a really great guy. Thanks for your time and the content. I enjoyed it.
Keep up the good work and God bless you all.

Love Greg Judy! The man is very smart & takes care of his animals like my Grandpa did. He is the one who taught me what to do. And he had a great name for himself, everyone wanted his animals IF he had any extras to sell.
Different family members raised different animals and we traded so we all had beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. When I was old enough I hunted for deer also. Later my brothers joined me.
Only thing Grandpa couldn't do was kill his animals so, my Great Grandparents taught me to do the chickens with them every fall. And the rest went to our local slaughter house. My brothers & I did the deer in the garage or barn.

Greg is one of the most genuine, down to earth people I have ever met. What you see on video is exactly how he is in real life. His enthusiasm is contagious, he can get anyone excited about grazing, just by his attitude. Greg and Jan are good people and deserve any good attention they recieve.

Just so impressive how much he knows about his pasture plants and what needs improving and what the benefits are. Then there's the burning question of how you can learn those details in your particular area. Reminds me of trying to sort through all the types of clovers and grains for best results on cover crops where we are!

Love Greg Judy, he is a pleasure to listen to, and a wealth of knowledge. I respectfully disagree about parvo though. While I have lost puppies to it, I’ve also had ones that lived through it with minimal effect. Our family dog was one. I’ve also met people who have lost puppies to parvo AFTER vacation for parvovirus. So based off of my personal experience I feel there are multiple factors, and breeding for resistance should be considered. I sure feel for him every time he talks about loosing that litter though. That is hard blow.

I just thought I should share my story about parvo. Seven yrs ago I bought a little dog from a man in a parking lot for twenty dollars. The next day she wouldn't eat or drink all day. I didn't know what was wrong. I gave her dropperfuls of colloidal silver every couple hrs and then before bed I shoved a capsule of activated charcoal down her throat. The next morning she was her normal self, jumping and running around and eating and drink. The next day the original owner called me to ask how she was doing because he had to rush all the other puppies to the vet and they all died under the care of the vet, of parvo....mine was the only survivor and she's still with me today
