Amazing Fun fact: Angelo Dundee who was Muhamad Ali's legendary trainer when he defeated George in Zaire to become champion for the second time, was in George's corner 20 years later when he defeated Moorer to become champion again. George also wore the same trunks he wore in Zaire in 1974!
@@MrManWithPlanAl Bernstein after Foreman regained the title asked if those were the same boxing trunks he wore when he lost to Ali. George replied he wore those trunks in all of his title fights he had to have them let out ! Maybe Foreman is distorting the truth because he weighed 220lbs against Ali for Moorer he weighed 250lbs !
@@camschuster5947 It almost looked like he just bopped Moorer. Amazing what an uppercut can do. Foreman makes top 5 in my book and if he rematched Ali, I think it would have been a different outcome.
The only reason they gave this movie a low rotten tomatoes score is because it portrays George in a positive light. If it was about womanizing and drugs it would win an Oscar.
Not just that, I'm a devout Muslim but the Christian faith gets so much backlash these days it doesn't make sense. In the grand scheme of things we're not that different

Movie messed it up, it was actually 2 1-2 combos that put Moore down, I'll never forget that night, my Birthday. The guy my Mother was dating at the time who's a piece of shit was badmouthing Foreman the whole time we were watching the fight, when Moore went down he shut up real quick.
No he got hit softly with it all night and had the believe he could take it but he then stood still exactly where George wanted and felt the genuine article for the first time and couldn't take it. Tricked by experience and humbleness somethings to this day Moore hasn't obtained
There are few sports moments that shock you. That makes you just jump out of your seat. The 1980 Olympic Hockey team against the Russians was one. When George landed that last right hand was another. I went from sitting to standing in a millisecond. What an unbelievable moment!
I remember once when I was young in 90s I entered a bookshop and so many newspapers and magazines had the title Foreman is champ again and I knew this was something special lol
Angelo NEVER tried to "comfort" George into quitting as insinuated by this scene. Dundee encouraged and lifted up and stood with George. Theatrics are one thing but this movie should never have tried to suggest George was anywhere near stopping. He would have sooner died in that ring before quitting against Moorer.
@@rodneymil3979 don’t know what your on about but respect your opinion I disagree the fight scenes were very entertaining and realistic and I had no problem with them

Same style trunks but they weren’t the same exact ones. In 74 his trunks had his initials GF on the left leg. His 1994 trunks do not.

This is why the movie is one of the best spots movies
Wow, what a scene. I remember watching the fight live.
I was 10 when that fight happened. Greatest moment in boxing history. The greatest moment.

Me too
I was 11, my dad and I went absolute batshit crazy cheering when he clocked Moore.

Congratulations CHAMP FOREMAN!
As a combat sports lover this ending makes me tear up, I can feel the happiness of George and his trainer.

Right any movie that makes me want to go research about a person did it’s job 🎉

Exactly it was a 1, 2 that shook him then the second 1,2 dropped him
I watched it on HBO, even though Moorer was winning even couldn’t get away from the right hand all night

God bless The Punching Preacher Big George Foreman 🙏

George Foreman broke Michael Moore's mouthpiece
I can relate to George Foreman
And why do we fall down? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
It was honestly a good movie, though I think the 1st half kind of carried it.
That was a triumph movie I saw.
Amazing movie great mr.foreman
I couldn't hold back during that scene.
Amazing.
Big george same to Erny Shavers?:)

Moorer was never the same after this.
The actor for the trainer looks like Roy Jones.
Come on!! If they didn't throw the towel in, against Holyfield, No way against Morre.
This movie went way too fast and it just randomly jumped from one highlight to the other.
Should have made it a serie instead of a movie
Agreed. Felt kind of the movie was really rushed.
How do they butcher such simple lines. Lampley's original delivery of this iconic call was way better than this.
Fé
Makes me mad that they acted like Angelo wanted him to throw in the towel, Angelo told him he was behind on points , watch the real fight.
big bad george foreman he punched was harder as a middle aged man
Okay movie…
If you're a cinephile and a hardcore boxing fan avoid this film
This actor can't throw a punch to save black ppl from oppression 😂😂😂
First!
Goofy ahh knockout
And then his brother Roy fainted in the ring!
