Kudos! I always check the abilities of my familiars and how it's going to affect my equipments vice versa. You'll be surprised bout how many 4* equips that aren't giving you the best possible damage/defense. So I always check their synergy against monsters.
Love the video, really think it's solid advice, I've pushed all my resources into 3 familars, and only ever use those 3 familars just because I've been so lucky on pulling multiple dupes of them, people always yell when I don't use fire on silver beard because I don't have a fire familar that is worth putting on.
the reason people suggest "BiS" in any game is because it's based on the actual end content of the game (asian servers), not the situational content rush during grinding or early global server bossing which you are addressing. you should always be aware of the actual good weapons and familiars to aim for, and until then, do the best with what you've got. you can get top 10 right now on global, beneath the whales, because everyone is underpowered, underleveled, lacking mechanical knowledge, dying to every aoe, etc. eventually as people catch up to the right level for content, using the statistical BiS builds, skills, weapons, and familiars, will be the only thing that matters. of course your long term goal is to prepare every single mono element build in the game, to cover all the situational content. but the real BiS stuff is very far away, or can simply be ignored, considering most global players are F2P and can never achieve the right combos for BiS. for global F2P, the realistic goal would be to have a 4-star normal main + awakened 3-star mono for every weapon/familiar build (roughly equivalent in CP stats), plus a 4-star awakened of any element with useful awakened stats and abilities(high CP). you can be satisfied with that.
Absolutely a good way to put it. We are so far in the infancy of the game right now I think alot of people just need to focus on "How" to make themselves powerful. Trying to teach people to fish vs. giving them the fish and saying "This will be the best one day"
I hope you answer this question, are familiar treats valuable? they're taking too much space in my inventory. so far i only see 1 star familiars in the wild

Actually a few familiars people have slept on and also they didn't read there skills correctly. I've ran a few tests of my own and all I'll say is that a few of them say GIVE PARTNER which actually gives you a buff. 90% of them are just buffs for familiars only. So what I'm saying is in PvP you want the one that give you buffs depending on the situation. Disbeleaf actually for me is ONLY good in situations with water opponents/frostbite. Otherwise any other healer or even base stats/status effects seem to be better to me.
It is for me right now. I think people get "Stuck" on using their classes best formation when right now elemental advantage and what you RNG on pulls trumps everything.
Seiryu, mites and ouroboros are top tier and will always stay in your element decks due to their skills. They will not be your main familiar when you have better ones(hippocampus instead if seiryu). What made them stay in your deck are their elements and their active skills that will benefit your elemental accessories(bonus dmg to burned, frostbitten, poisoned target). Hobgoblin's active skill makes your enemy's crit resistance drop. It's a tremendous boost for crit dps classes like the witch and rogue. Flutterby's active skill helps rogue to increase his already impressive evasion base, making him stronger in pvp defence-wise, while the movement speed helps when kiting the enemies(example when you're taking on a higher CP enemy on a duel. The tier list is based on the endgamers from Korean and Taiwanese server. They're players who've played long enough to have maxed out 4* rare gears, all the familiars, and all the available combinations. So it's not simply a "bandwagon thought". Just based on seeing how you're wasting your resources lvling up your 3* gears like most new players kinda shows that you haven't been researching enough. Your progress will only slow down very soon.
Dude you so toxic lol. There is no problem investing in 3* gear. Similarly KR and JP familiars are completely different than GL familiars in terms of what abilities they actually have- which means the tier lists will be COMPLETELY different than what they are on KR and JP. I understand what you are saying about Hobgoblin and flutterby, but you need to understand (since this is at the CRUX of this video). Not EVERYONE will be able to get those familiars and max them out/play optimally based on the wild amount of RNG in the game. Its all about optimizing what you've rolled- and going from there.
@@DoctorDiggs so not agreeing with you equals to toxic? You'll see what I mean soon enough, when you start using your territes to craft equipments and have no materials to level up your new 4*/4*rares. The thing about the familiar tierlist is not saying the rest of the familiars are trash. It's just showing what's better than the others and what's more compatible to each class. And the familiars on the KR/Taiwan server ARE NOT different from the global server. Imagine if someone with witch main playing rolled a hobgoblin, then thought it was useless and decided to level up the less useful buffalo from 7 day event instead. That's what the tierlist is for, letting people know what to watch out for. You're actually the toxic one if you decide to call a proven, well-researched and well-thought-out guide as "bandwagon thought". We all know this is a game of chance and there's no way of getting exactly everything that we want, but we should also know what's better in order to avoid wasting too much resources on the less useful stuff and then getting stuck way longer when we found what we need later because of lack of materials.

Hey, thanks for the videos. It's hard to find more detailed info on the game so it's super appreciated. That said, I think you are wrong about how familiar stats work. Netmarbles own elemental guide says that only familiars of the active type apply their elemental damage. So, your Mite wouldn't apply his attack. On the other side all familiars with the same element as is active will apply their attack! Of course, it can still be better to use a high lvl off-element familiar for the defense, crit, and acc, but it seems your video has misinformation. Just my 2 cents, still super appreciate the videos!
This could be referencing the familiars actually attacking. For example if you equip/unequip a familiar and check your characters base stats you will see that they do change. So like if I had Mite out - he is gonna be attacking/doing fire elemental attack damage. If I switch to Suiryu he will be attacking/doing water element damage.

I think is dependant. On a few factors.
Mite is clearly the smartest familiar because he carries a shield. Why wouldn't you carry a shield if it was an option. That, and pants too.
