I've been a life long fan of the Angels, and by association a huge Mike Trout fan. There are only 2 things that will change his career: Arte Moreno selling the team and getting as far away from this organization as possible, or a trade. I am secretly hopeful that Moreno sells the team and they move to Salt Lake City, out of the dodgers shadow and to a place where baseball fans can truly appreciate the team and where ownership would be capable of putting together a competent roster to surround Trout.

Trout is one of the saddest stories for modern baseball fans. We always like to see the best players play in the biggest moments. And Trout has played in one NLDS. ONE!! His one shining moment was last years WBC. Sad
It's not Mike's fault. It's the Angels organization. If they even had sub-part pitching, they would be in playoff contention year over year but it all comes back to pitching. Absolute travesty seeing such talent trashed by Moreno and his Yes Men management staff.
Trout and the fans of the Angels deserve(d) much better! But....as a Tiger fan, I can't figure out how they ever lose a series. The Angels have owned the Tigers almost forever, or at least it seems like it. Whenever we go to Anaheim we can't even score two runs in a game. This year, all we get to do is watch Schanuel, Rengifo, and O'Hoppe just roll over us like nothing. You should petition MLB to play half your games in Detroit.
Trout has a brain and two eyeballs. He could easily see that the Angels had no real future with their farm system. He signed a 12 year deal with them and wasted his own prime. The Angels not trying to trade Ohtani showed how laughably pathetic their front office is.
What is my man talking about in regards to 2017? This team wasn’t that bad with an 80-82 record, Andrelton Simmons was 8th in mvp voting with a 7.9 war, and Mike Trout was an all-star in 2017 though he missed some games.
As an Angels Fan who has had an Angels podcast for three years, I’ve grown tired of this narrative. One of the biggest reason why Mike Trout hasn’t been to the playoffs is Mike Trout. Is he fully the blame? Absolutely not. However, he has had many opportunities to put the team on his back and down the stretch he tends to fade away.
No ways. Baseball isn't basketball or football. One player cannot carry the team. I don't care how good they are. I know WAR isn't a perfect statistic, but even in his best years he had a 10 WAR. 10 more wins in a season probably won't put them in the playoffs, and that's assuming his value over a replacement player. Realistically 7 or 8 more wins compared to an average MLB player.
I don't get the Angel's at this point trading Trout would be better for them as well.
