      did you stay at this resort? I am too having problem with selecting hotel in Phuket, seems like Covid effect is still a thing. Those who did well before Covid are struggling with quality and services, which I find it very confusing. Old days of good hotels with right price in Phuket are long gone, I believe. have you considered reviewing Amanpuri or any of the Aman resorts? how does Aman stack up in comparison to other lux resorts that you review?

    • @tfft
      @tfft  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      I think most would say that they're a step above what I normally review, but I avoid them for now as I’m not a fan of their pricing policies (essentially a baseline of $900/night, regardless of location) which makes them a really poor value in some of the locations I’d actually like to try them out. In no world should a resort in Vietnam be the same price as ‘the best’ hotel in Tokyo- especially when I know they pay standard minimum wages in Vietnam.
      When I see one that blows me away or seems worth the money- I’m happy to try one out.
