  • In this video, I will show you how to make a kite in under five minutes, using materials that are readily available and can be had for almost free (total spend should be about £3).

    Cheers!
    As for the mic, that's actually just a Zoom H1 suspended inside a large bird feeder using silicone strips, with a furry cover over it. I have a similar build coming up, where I explain in detail how to make a double shock-mounted stereo mic with wind protection, which should be completed soon (I have loads of videos coming up).

    Hats off you to not only for making a super easy kite, great one to build with the kids... But mainly for making that video in the wind, rain and low flying aircraft!!!! Great work..

    amazing sound for that much wind

      Sterling Blair That "furry" thing is the microphone. That muffler doesn't allow the wind to blow into microphone membrane very hard. As the result you get a nice sound quality.

    He is making a Scott's sled. He forgot to cut in the triangle between the 2 sticks. It's an easy kite to make, and a ball to fly. My dad and I made them about 47 years ago. A nother good and easy kite to make is called an Eddy kite, it needs no tail... Look them both up to learn more...... Have fun flying!!!
    PS. I am 59 and still fly kites.....

    Maybe it has been posted already, but this kite flies even better when it gets 2 squared holes side by side towards the bottom. It gains altitude much easier with these and needs less windy conditions. Well done!

    why don't you staple over the bamboo instead of putting it in, taking it out stapling then putting it back in? i dont get it xD

    • @GeneralChickenPiece
      @GeneralChickenPiece 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      If you leave the bamboo in, the arm which delivers the staples wont be able to reach all the way over to staple the fabric on the other side. Imagine putting a stick on the inside of a door hinge, it wont close properly.
