Dude this looks awesome!!! I love the fact you dont just rely on glue to hold it together like other instructional vids. Its simple and functional. Great work!!
May I first thank you for sharing your video. For some one who has made sandals for his first time, it is remarkable. I like the way you stitched everything and did not use rivets on the toe piece. I have a question, having sewn the toe in between piece, how was it, was it comfortable, or did it chafe between your toes when wearing the sandals? I have done a lot of leather work many years ago. Have forgotten a lot, you make me want to try again. You have nothing to envy a professional Shoe maker, you have done a splendid job and I think you put a lot of research in to doing this. How are they lasting, I see you posted this in November 2017? They look fantastic. I wish you the very best with any other projects you make.
You deserve more subscribers! Your videos awe amazing! I also make leather goods (not quite as nice as yours but I'm still new and learning). Your videos inspire me to better my craft!
I made the pattern based around my foot so I dont have precise measurements but maybe in the future I will make a video update with how I made the pattern.
Looks awesome. Do you have a link on where to buy the tool you used... the one for making the holes to sew. And were could I find the aaron george rubber? We are going to try to make some...
They look awesome! You could put yoga mat between layers for cushion. But you need to bevel it gradually so it doesn’t show from the sides. I bet you get requests for these!
Hello surviving, how is your tip to bevel 3 different kind of material's in case we use: leather / EVA in the middle and rubber for the sole? Any special sand paper? I'm finding trouble doing that ! tks much
Keep working on them. Experience conquers all. I started working with leather 3 years ago. And starting to understand how dying works and I have a leather sewing machine. It helps. I’ve improved a lot!
Thank Seth. I was worried about the comfort too but surprisingly they are pretty comfortable been wearing them daily for a week now. I am more worried about how well the rubber base holds onto the leather since its just glued on. Will probably do an update in few months to show how they are holding up.

Amazing, well done you! I really like that style of sandal
Very impressed for no formal training skills. I will try this. TY
If you wet or case your leather before dying it it will absorb slower and more evenly. Nice job
Wow! Thank you so much.... I started making leather sandals recently and I'm just navigating different techniques... This is simple and efficient
Very very thorough. Those should last a long long time. Nice!
Great video. I love the look of those sandals. Much more style than a Teva.
Teva should make these. They make something similar for women but not men.
not for nothing but you did a great job on those sandals, you have quite a talent - and it's the love that inspires you!
Real sandals made of leather with buckles and no Velcro .
Very proper sandals.
Wow those are excellent!! Way to go.
Wow! Those look so great.

Turned out looking great! How comfortable are you finding them compared to your trusty Tevas?
Thank Seth. I was worried about the comfort too but surprisingly they are pretty comfortable been wearing them daily for a week now.
