Since you have not stitched 🧵 it around the edges of the slipper will it be durable ? It’s a nice and charm design ❤
I want to be able to make this, I can't download the video, pls why?
Nice bro, I want to make a sandal. I have a pattern on cardboard which size is 38. How can I convert above pattern size 39,or above. Obliged. Love from Pakistan.
I want.
A very practical and versatile design! So much so that I ordered a copy of the pattern...
But I was wondering, is it possible to sew all layers of the sole rather than just rely on the glue? Over here the humidity and occasional encounters with wet weather causes the soles of shoes, sandals etc to come apart like crocodiles after just moderate wear...
I imagine the hardest part is being able to punch the sewing holes through that combined thickness of material~
Not practical for anyone with bunions.
Hi there, love your sandals, how much for a pair of size nines?
I make sandals from time to time. This year, 60 euros but probably the transport will be another 25. I make a few pairs every year for friends. I started to work with leather in 1988, with sandals :). I made so many since then. Here is my Instagram: instagram.com/vasileandpavel/?hl=ro
Question for ya, when you are wearing them can you feel the tabs from the straps on the bottom of your foot? As the leather breaks in and forms to your foot I wondered if it would indent around the flaps.
no. As you see, I line the leather sole, it is really thick and the rubber sole is EVA (etilen vinil acetat) and it is flexible, so the straps "goes" in the rubber sole. I make sandals since 1988, many of my clients come again and again
@@VasileandPavel very cool! I wasn’t doubting your craftsmanship at all, just a novice with a question is all haha thank you for responding!!
@@newmanconner5920 I just explain what I do and why I do this. I sell patterns, many patterns, so a lot of people asks questions. My rule is to answer to everybody and I didn't think you are questioning my skill, I thaught that you'll make a pair of sandals and I want that sandals to be well made
Hi dear brothers.i have a question.does it necessary to stech sole with upper.
I don't know what materials you'll use. But these sandals will last 5-6 years (the EVA foam soles will break in 5-6 years, not the leather)
Je vous félicite mais je veux les nom des matériaux si ça vous plaît
Thank you for your kind words.
I used
- 6-7 oz (2.4-2.8 mm) vegetable tanned leather
- Stiff leather for lining the leather sole
- EVA Foam or a pair of flip flops soles.
First pattern then sandal.Pakistan
They look like nice sandals but totally unsuitable for anyone with bunions because the front strap has the worst possible position.
sorry to hear. I have other models with adjustable straps that can be more friendly with bunions. Here
