Any character that requires you to learn a million double charge motion inputs to be optimal in every situation would know just about anything in his game
My best friend is a teacher of 10+ years. He once said to me "The best teachers are the ones that make you want to do or try something you've only ever felt bad about doing." You legitimately make me want to learn how to play twelve and every other low tier character purely for the fun of it.
Dawg, it's hard to squeeze 7 whole minutes out of "literally just press two buttons" but we got there! 😂 Really though, the "conversational" style was hugely inspired by Crystal_cube99's Gill and Alex banter. Please check him out if you haven't already, he puts out incredible work!
Your editing is amazing and all but your music selection is on another level. I know you syncing up the character's knockdowns with 12's supers on the drum part must have taken hours for you to do so. It is really a mind blowing video, keep it up!
Bro, I was legitimately SO worried that people would get bored of watching the same combo for 3 minutes straight, so I really had to think about how to cram every bit of fun and style I could get into it. 😂 Music choices were sheer coincidence, would you believe! Stuff I was using as a placeholder that just happened to magically sync up while drafting up the scenes. And like it was meant to be, the number of bars and changes just happened to line up perfectly with all the text slides I had prepared, the rhythm of the explaination, and everything. It really all just came together in the perfect way. And yeah, the biggest headache of video editing is honestly spending hours and hours moving stuff one frame at a time to make sure it hits the beats properly. But it's 100% worth the tedium just to make sure everything has that good "pop" to it. Thanks for the really kind words, man, I got more good ideas still to share soon 🙏
I still find it funny that what was supposed to be a normal character like twelve, happened to not only be terrible but also have a standard technique that is hard to pull off specifically for them
That's the low tier curse, my man. The more unique you make a character, the further they have to deviate from the standard mechanics of the game. Why you think every top tier is always some boring karate man? 🙃
yeah lol he's got a lot of weird shit going on under the hood. there are a few interesting things he can do with supers (other than SA1, he can do his medium kick super jump cancel into SA2, and he even has some combos he can start AS twelve and CONTINUE as another character by canceling axe into SA3), but most are just very difficult to execute (at least for me; I suck at confirming SA2 in a real fight for example).
The way you time your on screen sprites movement or reveals and every single character specific one frame link perfectly to the TAP-TAP of the beat, it sparks joy♡
Thank you! And you can look forward to hearing more Billiards and other great Monkey Ball tunes in the next video. I just put up a teaser for it, check it out!
That's a very kind thing to say, about what is essentially two cardboard cutouts waggling back and forth in front of a spinning gradient jpeg for 7 minutes 😅 Thank you though! The whole concept was to take the simplest elements (text, plain background, character cutouts) and squeeze as much style out of everything as possible. Please look forward to more like this very soon, after I get some real life stuff out of the way first :)
Thank you for making this video. I've been playing Twelve for years, and basically mastered everything _except_ those one frame links. After this, I'll go back into training mode and get it done.
Happy to help, brother. Hope it's working for you ❤ While I'm here, I had another random 12 idea! Since 12 relies a lot on airdash mixups and throws, I've never seen anyone do empty airdash (to bait a throw) into superjump-cancel EXNDL. The SJC throw invuln would beat the throw and you'd get nice damage off the sHK/HP juggle. Would lose to crouch tech, though I guess! Just a silly idea.
oh shit are u on fightcade (i use 12 but i just started a little over a year ago, and it's my first fighting game so im still kind of a noob. i use 12 and makoto tho haha)

The idea of Twelve being viable is horrifying. He kind of HAS to be ass, because I don't see how letting him do the things he already does but equal in power to the rest of the cast wouldn't be an absolute nightmare.

Oh, you're right! So, weird thing about that. When I was initially capturing the footage, the combo was only doing 7 hits on her. This was from the round start position, right in the middle of the screen. However, if you scrolled the screen slightly left or right, suddenly it was doing 8 hits, even though the spacing didn't change (It can only be done from point blank) and the characters weren't any nearer or further from the screen edges. I couldn't think of a way to include that weird piece of info, so I just recorded it again in the new position and I guess I just forgot to change it 😅

Tekken 3 definitely had it, I'm pretty sure. Do the new games not have that anymore? I found this video which had the sound of the buttons being pressed with the correct rhythm. Hopefully it's useful. th-cam.com/video/GkyRp3GGL5A/w-d-xo.html The actual method for figuring out rhythms is just trial and error. Or I'll play the drum sounds with a keyboard in real time while watching the inputs, and then try it to recreate the same rhythm in training mode. Or just try it over and over again making up and testing different memorable rhythms until one works. It's not a very exact science, I'm afraid!
Exactly the kind of neanderthal take I'd expect from someone called "braintumor10000". Necro NERDS stay "wahhh'ing" more like! (Owned) ((Gotteeem)) (((Caught in 240p))).
INCREDIBLE VIDEO LOL!!!! How is this so underrated? if you have a experience with: Sean - Hugo (principally) i'd like so much to have some tech that i could apply in a match
I don't know much about either character, I'm afraid, but thank you for the kind words all the same! For interesting Sean tech, check out a guy on Twitter called JayDshon, he's really digging deep and pulling out some innovative shit with Sean 🏀
im so interesting in everything twelve. im currently maining him and i knew about this technique, but i didnt know any of the specifics, thank you!! btw do you have any tips on how to optimally use twelve's invis? ive been developing my entire playstyle around it but im just interested in what you have to say
Hmm, the only thing I know about invisibility is I'm pretty sure you can safely do it after super? I think it may be safe against some other characters after EX NDL, also? To find really safe invis setups, I would suggest going to training mode and recording Twelve performing super or EX NDL, then doing invis. Then as the opponent, try to the punish Twelve recording with various things to see what works! If you want some real Twelve inspiration, here's a really cool old school Twelve montage I found a while ago! (It actually shows an invis setup in the first 30 seconds!) www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9065706
@@BrianM_3rd how the hell did you find this?? thank you so much! I'm really excited to get into this site.. I didn't even think about a site like this but it makes so much sense for sf3 content. As for twelve's invis setups, the only one I know is universally safe is backthorw - > invis. I really want to make my playstyle about extremely unpredictable movement and mix. Twelve has some really cool mix opportunities that are just slightly too slow and can be reacted to, but while invisible, twelve's mix is more about audio and location. I feel like all of twelve's potential is stored up in his invis, and once I get to a level where I am tricking my opponent into thinking I am somewhere I am not, then I feel like twelve will be proven to not be the worst character in the game. He may even be able to be- well not the best.. but maybe low mid tier??
As I understand it, a few characters have this weird property of only being able to chain light kicks on one frame (although they don't all necessarily combo). I know Q does, for sure. Might investigate further!
I love this game to death but something about how it registers supers even without a combo into it completely evades me sometimes.. just sitting there doing the QCs without jumping and no super.. been playing it almost 20 years
They're the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo of 3rd Strike. A secret organization of 12 Twelves that covertly rigs all tournaments to keep low tiers oppressed. And then Liquid Q hijacks Metal Gear and plans to blow up the internet or something (I don't know where I was going with this)
That's right, it does work on everyone! But unfortunately it's also universally unsafe on block as shown at 0:26. And that's the whole purpose of this video :)
im simply enamored with the idea that Q is just this wise sage with lots of specific knowledge on third strike tech
Q and Twelve are canonically best friends and I won't listen to anyone who suggests otherwise (source: I made it up)

Very kind of you to say. Hopefully the new video will surpass your expectations. Please check out the preview if you haven't already!

NECRO CHADS STAY WINNING
Exactly the kind of neanderthal take I'd expect from someone called "braintumor10000". Necro NERDS stay "wahhh'ing" more like! (Owned) ((Gotteeem)) (((Caught in 240p))).
someone remembers excel saga
We need ACROSS now more than ever in 2023. Hail Ilpalazzo!
Como Main de Remy , me ofende que no aparezca en este show , ojala se le incluya , ya que pertenece al Low tier 😢
Si los low tiers son empollones, entonces Q y Twelve son superempollones con los que ni los empollones quieren juntarse jajaja
You are fucking legendary, may the future be kind to you.
Appreciate the kind words, brother 🙏
great content
Thank you, lots more videos big and small to come!
(It actually shows an invis setup in the first 30 seconds!)

Now this is content.
Definitely one of the videos of all time 👍
banger! also the hat is not silly.
His words, not mine! Twelve's opinions do not represent the views of the Q Corporation.
Hello DNA! 😂
My legal team has advised that I do not comment on the similarities between our two products!🧑⚖
@@BrianM_3rd I love your vids man
2:04 lol
Thanks for watching playa, big smile ♿
Ibuki can similarly do this to confirm into stuff, really tricky timing tho fs
As I understand it, a few characters have this weird property of only being able to chain light kicks on one frame (although they don't all necessarily combo). I know Q does, for sure. Might investigate further!
I love this game to death but something about how it registers supers even without a combo into it completely evades me sometimes.. just sitting there doing the QCs without jumping and no super.. been playing it almost 20 years
🥰
❤❤❤❤❤❤
There's obviously 12 twelve players in rhe world
They're the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo of 3rd Strike. A secret organization of 12 Twelves that covertly rigs all tournaments to keep low tiers oppressed. And then Liquid Q hijacks Metal Gear and plans to blow up the internet or something (I don't know where I was going with this)
idc what anyone says twelve is the shit!
Yes, many people have used almost that exact verbiage to describe him.
subscribed for high-effort twelve footie as well as the shock and horror at getting jumpscared by excel saga op. incroyable
Thank you! Excel Saga still goes crazy in 2023. Hail Ilpalazzo!
low lk. lp axe into super should work an all characters anywhere.
That's right, it does work on everyone! But unfortunately it's also universally unsafe on block as shown at 0:26. And that's the whole purpose of this video :)
