  • In today's video, I share a few productivity tricks that help me stay productive at work. I also get a bit more technical on what I'm actually working on. Watch this if you've ever wondered what a day in the life of a Google software engineer looks like 😄
    A little bit about me: I studied computer science in college (BS and MS). Google is my first full time job; and I've been working at Google for 4 years as a software engineer. I work on building the system ui of the Google Pixel 📱 and Android 🤖.. I currently live in the Bay Area, CA 🌉 where I work from the comfort of my home.
    Let me know in the comments below if you enjoyed this day in the life of a software engineer at Google!

      Hey, it depends on what you want to program! f you want to do any iOS/Mac development then you will need a macbook, otherwise if you're just learning then any laptop will do. I don't have any specific recommendations

    Is Need To Have Strong Knowledge In DSA And Maths ? In Interviews? Please Let Me Know

    • @yourfriendintech
      @yourfriendintech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, data structures and algorithms are very important! General math is also important; more advanced math may be required depending on what field of programming you want to get into (eg. graphics)

    • @ItsYourBoyMRAR
      @ItsYourBoyMRAR 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@yourfriendintech Thank You But In Google Interview Also Require Advanced Math?

    • @yourfriendintech
      @yourfriendintech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ItsYourBoyMRAR I don't think it's required - i there is math involved in the interview question and you are not familiar with it, you can ask your interviewer to explain it or you may get a new question.

    Hay, I have question why do you prefere apple systems mcos or not windows or linux or something else? some opinion?

    • @yourfriendintech
      @yourfriendintech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My own laptop is a macbook and so for work I also decided to go with a Mac for convenience and simplicity. I don't have to worry about switching keyboards or remembering different key bindings

    • @dezyczarniecki937
      @dezyczarniecki937 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's right, I've heard a lot about it myself, I've always been using windows, but someday I have a plan to enter the world of Apple and try it, and besides, thanks for the answer!

    • @yourfriendintech
      @yourfriendintech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah definitely worth trying! But if Windows works for you then there's no need to switch, unless you plan on building Mac/iOS apps in the future

      @@yourfriendintech I don't really know what I'm going to do yet, I'm even thinking about the full stack option, but at the moment I'm learning and I'll see what will be for sure I'm a fan of the Apple ecosystem, but I think that when I try, I'll find out and tell you what your first project was, if you can, and good luck for you
