    Why am.i hearing people are gaining weight on spirulina?

    • @NaturalHealthRising
      @NaturalHealthRising  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you’re hearing that spirulina causes weight gain, that’s likely a misconception. Spirulina is a nutrient-dense, low-calorie superfood that actually supports metabolism and can help with weight management, not the other way around. It’s packed with protein, which helps keep you full and supports muscle growth, and it has detoxifying properties that can aid overall health. So, rather than causing weight gain, spirulina is more likely to help you stay on track with your wellness goals.

      @@daniellegardner9535 That's interesting. I've never heard this before and it doesn't really make sense on how it would make you gain excess weight.

    😢I think she should explain very well who can take it and who can't (thyroid disease, those taking certain life-saving drugs, etc.) and not always talk only about the fact that those who take it can stop eating, stop including vegetables in their diet and that those who take it can take as much as they want... it doesn't seem like very professional and serious information for her who talks about the seriousness of her company. Spirulina is certainly an excellent "food" for our health but it all also depends on how it is taken and who takes it. The information she tells us is a little too "light".

      She talks about some specific dosages of her product in this video... I don't believe she ever says take as much as you want. Also, none of this is medical advice so please talk to your health professional before doing any supplementation to find what is best for you :)

      @@NaturalHealthRising She always says that you can take them as much as you need. And for what I heard she does not speak about the risks of spirulina . She just says that the other brands are not very safe ...I'm speaking about spirulina as a food not as a brand . I believe that her products are very safe ,that's for sure but I'm speaking about spirulina in general. (Sorry for my English I'm writing form Italy )

    Why she doesn't speak about the real risk of taking spirulina?
    Warnings and possible contraindications
    In reality, the form of vitamin B12 present in spirulina does not seem to be easily absorbed by the human body. Furthermore, despite being rich in proteins, spirulina supplements taken in the recommended doses and considered safe are unable to meet the body's needs; from this point of view, legumes, dried fruit and cereals seem to be better and less expensive sources of vegetable proteins. It is important to ensure that spirulina is not contaminated by microcystins or anatoxins, toxic substances that can trigger adverse effects such as stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, liver damage, weakness, thirst, rapid heartbeat, shock and, in the most serious cases, death. It is also good to remember that spirulina can absorb heavy metals. For this reason, it is best to buy only safe products.
    Taking spirulina may be contraindicated in cases of gout, autoimmune diseases, kidney stones, pregnancy or breastfeeding and should be avoided in cases of phenylketonuria.

      We do talk about the dangers of most algae products - she reiterates a few times what to watch out for because of toxins and heavy metals... they grow their algae in a very safe way to prevent any toxins and screen all of their products. They have the cleanest algae available - honestly I would never buy any other brand. I have an autoimmune disease and do just fine with the product :) None of this is advice for anyone... you should always check with your doctor or health professional before taking any supplements. Legumes, dried fruits, and cereals can be very high in mold toxins if you are concerned about toxins - I personally do not eat any of those things and solely eat an animal-based diet with fresh fruits & vegetables... I believe that everyone should find a nutrition plan that works best for them :)
