I love how you explain the game. Thanks a lot, so much content creators don't explain the game at first and make us curious about the details of each option. Keep it up! Good content~
Yeah, your understanding of the +2/+1 for your ability scores is somewhat off. They do affect your stats, but by boosting the score itself by the given amount. Used to be thag those stat boosts were unique to each race in the actual ttrpg, but recently became how they were when you were making your character
Oh I forgot they were gonna change the racial bonuses. That makes sense, I thought it was just helping you distribute from the point pool you already had. This is where EA actually threw me off course instead of keeping me on it haha.
Very cool video! I have 100hours in this game and still learned couple of thing from this video. Btw i love how you narrate your own talk options. That rocks!
"save scum" is a stupid concept. It's single player, everyone should play however they want since it doesn't affect other people. There's a reason save files were invented and don't work in multiplayer in the same way as single. Amazing that nowadays you even have to point this out.
That’s a fair point but one of the main aspects of Baldurs gate and other ttrpg’s is the effect of dice rolls and in some situations it is understandable such as avoiding an encounter you know you can’t win or a situation that would ruin your entire playthrough, but like you said it’s personal choice
I totally agree with this for the most part but there are streamers who save scume to a ridiculous level, things like failed background perception checks and just checking what all the outcomes would be before choosing. For me that makes for poor viewing. I don't mind the odd save scum but for pure entertainment it's great to watch someone stick to the hand they're dealt and adapt.
@@MikeMac1304 people do that so they dont miss out on parts of the game theres a lot of things that you would never see unless you pass a roll as for decisions, its much easier to reload a save and see more dialogue than to replay the entire game for that 1 choice
I love watching you expert RPG players play these amazing, tactical games. BG3 is the one game that has gotten me interested into finally trying out an adventure like this for the first time. I’ve already started reading about all the D&D Lore and it’s incredible! The O.G. of all fantasy games. So from a Souls player, cheers my friend! Looking forward to your play through
I'm finally getting around to watching your playthrough of this! A friend of mine and I just started a co-op playthrough on PS5, so I'll be playing alongside you! Can't wait to see where this one goes
It's so beautiful!! Not me watching it at work but I have to risk it lol. I know you really wanted a day one release but it's definitely well worth the wait with the quality of your videos. Ugh damn mindflayers. They really did an outstanding job. Lae'zel seems a bit nicer than early access, not much but just a bit. Oh nice, I'm definitely checking out the new merch ❤
You don't have to play as the original character to know them but if you are really into some of them I still recommend to play as them. THey have special story when you play as them
It's upon us. Good luck on the hardest difficulty available from reviews and what I've seen/played this isn't particularly hard especially if you've played Divinity (which you mentioned you had) Excited to see a drow not seen one out of the TH-cam playthroughs so far Starting with a nat 1 start as you mean to go on lol
Divinity is probably harder atleast in the beginning. But i don't think Tactician is super easy either. It just depends on the fight. DoS2 was such BS on tactictian.
I can’t wait to start playing the full release. I unfortunately live in the middle of butt-fuck nowhere, so my estimated download time is 2 days 🫠 Great start to the series so far, though!
Yay someone I know actually doing a playthrough! And long esp too!! I wanna play this so bad but it’s not on ps5 yet so I can only get my fill via vids 😭
My new computer is more than what BG3 needs by a long shot but I also record on it while playing and need it to be future proof. It's a 4080 GPU with 32GB memory and an i7-13700KF processor.
What was the Early Access like to play? I bought Baldur's Gate 3 to try out the Early Access myself, but my game kept crashing as I left the Character Creation. I eventually got sick of trying so I briefly got rid of the game to free up space for other games until it officially came out.
I think i have to do a playtrough with a warlock because its streng and have much Charisma and play along with karlach as trow barb and shadowheart as heal cleric and Asturien as roug Ranger i think thiw weil be a streng comp
I wish they had used a range of European accents, coming from the UK, it makes the suspension of disbelief problematic when the characters sound like they could be on the panel of Question Time with Fiona Bruce.
Nice playhtrough ./There's a few new Difficulty options :} Custom mode 1 save/ Hide npc health it should be in all versions of game like any dnd game all shouldn't have free insane knowledge, It's a Must have cant play with out. Do you plan on replaying after some time so not using replay knowledge so might not remember all :}?
@@AnalogVernacularin my experience walkthroughs tend to try and show as much of the game as the content creator can, at least as far as their knowledge and skill allows, where as a let's play is more of a casual "I'm going to attempt to get to the end of this game before my or your interest in it completely fades" type of affair, though definitions may vary from person to person.
My playthroughs are what I personally consider to be as thorough as possible. I'm trying to get the most I possibly can in a single playthrough and I try to make it at least somewhat informative along the way.
Looking forward to this, but kindof wish you talked/gave reactions during the cutscenes, kindof defeats the purpose of watching someone play for their reaction when they're mute the entire cutscene. I understand why, just find it odd
I'm sorry, but you can't put a Wilhelm scream in the first 5 minutes of your game and expect me to take it seriously. I am expecting a goofy adventure now. Not a harrowing experience where our character's life hangs in the balance.

So excited for this!! Can't believe you're going for Tactician, I already feel for future you!
Thanks
Thank you!
I know I'm almost a year late but I'm excited to see this playthrough! here it goes!
It's such a great game! Hope you enjoy the run!
Incredible game...I'm still hooked. I really like how clear and thorough you are.
Excited to watch you play after i already did the parts myself. :)
so excited to see how you play this!
Like a looting madman I can guarantee!
It’s time!!! Love your playthroughs!
Thanks, this one is gonna be one helluva ride so strap in!
I am excited to watch this series.
I love The Dark Urge. He's basically Revan from Knights of the Old Republic.
The redemption stories are the best
Also I love Revan. My favorite Star Wars character

A few years ago I watched my friend play XCom 2 and that was just awesome too
Both BG3 and XCOM are great games. You should give them both a try, once you scratch the strategy/tactical itch you'll simply want more!
@@AnalogVernacular haha yes I am starting to see that! Thanks :)
Definitely picking up some merch soon.

i should mention you and me of the 5th edition of dnd you and me are the same book there also thank you for doing this this is so much help

Drows are proficient with hand crossbow not regular or light :)
I thought light crossbows WERE hand crossbows. I thought light and heavy were the only two distinctions.
@@AnalogVernacular oh and i just got to 2nd video where you get this point in first minutes :D
Vernac. I remember the duo from Wasteland 😂😂 Wish we had Analog to complete it.
That was also a fantastic game. Had a ton of fun with Wasteland 3.
What are your new pc specs? I need a new gpu for this game. My gtx 950 barely cuts it even on low settings in 1080p.

New computer is great - gameplay looks really nice - did you buy prebuild or did you build it up yourself?
pre-built. I don't pretend to know how to build one myself.
My birthday today 🎉🎉
Happy Birthday!
Oh yay! More anolog
Enjoy! This one is gonna be a ride!
nice
Hey is Drow pronounced D(owl) or D(Roh) ?
don't know don't care. I'm sure I say it both ways all the time ;)
Tactician or normal mode in all other rpgs.
Will it be 100%
It will be very thorough as a single playthrough. 100% would require dozens of playthroughs of a 100+ hour game.
I wish they had used a range of European accents, coming from the UK, it makes the suspension of disbelief problematic when the characters sound like they could be on the panel of Question Time with Fiona Bruce.

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 4080 16GB
Ram: 32GB

Is this actually a walkthrough or just a let's play?
Define what you think the difference is and maybe I can answer.

Lord of the Rings uses Wilhelm screams and those films were like the modern cinematic foundation for fantasy taken seriously.
Finally got some time off to start watching your playthrough. So hyped. And also, Vitiligo (vit-ih-LIE-go), you're welcome, Analog.
You think you helped but I just said it out loud 4 times and still managed to mess it up XD
