Really talented! From one woodworker to another! It’s a shame that nice work like this doesn’t always translate to huge views, I know all too well! Nice piece!

Lovely sideboard. While I love dovetails made with hand tools, I appreciate the time saving of the band saw and router. Also gluing the ebony strips to the sole of the block plane was genius and saved you buying a Bridge City Tools version or making a thicknessing jig.

thank you very much! the strips were just double sided taped to the bottom of my block plane and worked a treat :) I wasn't too sure many people would pick up on why I had done that...so well done!

Nice piece with technical challenges and loads of exquisite details 👍
I wish we could have a glance at the lower part that seems to have quite tricky joints.

thanks for the comment! pleased you enjoyed it, the lower stretcher was really simple... all the cuts ended up being square, and the centre rail was square 45 degree cuts. hope that makes sense!

@@CountrywoodGirl Yes thank you. I suspect that fitting all this perfectly with curved legs was somehow a bit less than 'really simple' 😉 👍

Love your work, and love the design of the stretcher. That is some beautiful quarter-sawn oak. Can I ask where the oak was from? Also, please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not sure the backing music is working. It's only my opinion and who needs another opinion on social media :) I know finding good copyright free music can be a nightmare. However, I would suggest no music rather than cheap tacky music because the furniture you build is anything but cheap and tacky. I'm looking forward to your next video.

Hi thanks for the comment, the oak is locally sourced near to me, so that is Cumbria in England. the main reason I have to put music over the top is because otherwise I get copyrighted on TH-cam from the radio on in the workshop, maybe next time ill try have the backing music a lot quieter and see how that goes. I have recently started doing voice overs on some of my videos so might be doing more of those in the future.

Love all the explanations but the amount of process video in between is a bit too much maybe. Also would love to hear the woodworking sounds instead of music. Or just in general one type of sound at a time. Beautiful work tho!! Keep it up 😊👍

Kinda miss the voice over….. doesn’t need to be the hole time but some maybe? Looks awesome though.

I lasted just under nine minutes before I had to stop watching. The music is simply too annoying to me and I hesitated turning down the volume in case I missed a comment from you.

thanks for the feedback, I have recently started to doing voice overs on some of my builds, maybe those ones would be better for you. and if you wanted to watch the rest of this video, I only comment when you can see me talking in front of the camera, so just unmute when you see me.

@@CountrywoodGirl Thanks! I'll turn down the volume and watch again. As a point of reference for the background music, I enjoy watching New Yorkshire Workshop (no voice over or music) and Bradshaw Joinery (no music).
