Thanks alot Jerry!! I usually only put in 1 ad in the middle of the video, YT puts all the rest in where they want plus in the beginning and the end!! Even when I delete the YT ads when I upload they always seem to appear!!☺
@@805ROADKING Yes - I've had the same experience. I've also noticed it doesn't make much of a difference when putting un-skippable adds at the beginning. Experimented w/ that - didn't make a difference. I had to go through all my videos and change them to 1 ad during 'cause youtube peppered them with adds and I think my view went down a bit. They had like 5-6 adds on a ten minute video. Great work on the truck btw - you are quite the craftsman - like to listen to you too.

Yeah Buddy!! I replaced alotta rotted metal in the roof and hood already that I didn't video!! There shouldn't be any rot at all when I'm done!!☺
When you first got this truck it looked fairly solid. I'm glad your saving the old girl. I'm sure she will last another 50 years or so after you have finished with her.
Got to hand it to you RK, you have done a great job for just working out of you garage. It's a lot easier in a sheet metal fab shop. I am enjoying this series of videos, My dad used to have a similar 65 Ford pickup with a 390 and 3 on the tree. It was a narrow / short bed. Always a pleasure to drive.

It is always hard to deal most Previous Owner repairs but you are doing a fabulous job. Great ideas for dealing with non factory far east repair panels. They are both the bain and savior of the old vehicle industry. They are not very good but most are way better than nothing.🤷♂️😉

I keep looking at that HUGE boat anchor 4 speed. A Borg T5 would be a great upgrade for this rig, unless you are sticking to a "restoration".

That is surprising you have to modify both panels that much. You would think they would be ready to go. Luckily you're on the job. Cheers Buddy
Thanks Lloyd!! I think if they made those mounts ready to go it would have been to cost prohibitive!! I know if they were much more than $100 I probably would have made them myself!!☺
I remember when I was at university having a summer job at a plant removing mill scale from steel plate and steel tube. The tube was a horrible job, mild acid and scrubbing with wire brushes.The plate was easy enough in comparison, dip in strong acid, wash it off then dip in oil. Just needed to remember that if a plate starts to fall, don't try to stop it; one guy forgot when working with 1/4inch plate. The falling plate created an air cushion which brought it down slowly at the end but the weight of the plate trapped the ends of his fingers; he was lucky that he didn't lose them.

Need to get some Cleco's to hold the pan in place while you weld it in. Cleco's - good stuff!!
Clecos are nice in the right situation but they wouldn't have pulled that pan down to the support like the screws did!!☺
