@TechDoctorUK - Hi Doc, I noticed that in a few places in the video (0:12, 2:40, 2:54, etc) you're getting the "Open, move, Remove from favourites" menu popping up and you have to click again. This is a common issue caused by apps with accessibilty rights. Apps that typically cause this are Mouse toggle, ad blockers, dns changers and a few others (but not all). Solution? Go into accessibility and disable whichever app was recently installed.
i do, when i run any accessibility app like button mapper and mouse toggle; my volume buttons on the original remote doesn't automatically go up or down when long pressed, just keep clicking to go up or down 1 increment at a time. if i disable mouse toggle and/or button mapper my volume key works like designed. weird huh?

I have a question. Is there a netflix app on android phone that can be function as the app version on android tv? I have a broken tablet that is now my home media connected to my TV via HDMI and i am navigating the apps via mouse and keyboard
Didn't work on my new shield pro. But if I press home button twice I can clear recent apps. When I open my Background Apps & Process List App, I still had 11 apps running in the background.
The process demonstrated absolutely works in closing down background applications. You have to appreciate that this is a Nvidia Shield built-in mechanism and not a random 3rd party app, so if it didn't work, it wouldn't be there. The issue is that some applications also have background services, so even if you close the app, the background service is still running. A good example of this is a VPN client. The only way to terminate a service is by force stopping the app. Appreciate your feedback.
This is what baffles me I can not see which button you are pressing. There is no button on the remote that says home. There is a power button, a menu button, a back button, a stop button, a fast forward button, a mic button for searching, a play/pause button, an audio button, a rewind button and a Netflix button THERE IS NO HOME BUTTON!

Hey Doc i have the new shield pro it came with the remote that the tube version came with. The one with motion sensor light etc shaped like a triangle. So which button is the home key on this one? The center one im trying to follow you on here but getting confused.....edit i just figured it out Doc for any of you that have the new shield remote the stop button is the home key on it.

This app will not work on a Fire Cube - says it needs permissions but the "Allow" choice jumps you out of program. I can not find any other place to turn on permissions.
Tried it and thought it worked until I went to the background and apps process list and found that the apps were still running in the background But thanks anyway much appreciated

Greetings TDUK hope all is well...i love my dynalink android 10 i tried 16gb 2.0 and 16gb 3.0 for the extra storage but nothing works i even fat32 them still not working what am i doing wrong 😞😒
App has stopped working ,, such a shame App asks to be updated with no update available, is this the end of the app. Very useful app gives you back control over running apps

Been using the background apps process on my Nvidia shield pro didn't know about this and it keeps your VPN open gonna give this a go thanks TD.
There's a app for the Nvidia Shield that does similar things but this is quicker and better thanks for the heads up

@@flikchik2931 that doesn't close all backgrounds app at once, still need to go into each app and click on Force Stop.
@@naz0079 I prefer it because the other would also turn off the VPN also I want that to keep running

No, the VPN will stay connected. You can confirm this by opening up the VPN app again and you will see that you are still connected

Unfortunately this doesnt "force stop" the apps though so they are technically still all running in the background.
