Top tip. If doing multiple crates or working with others you can drop crate mid air from a slow low hover so you don't have to land each time. But someone has to land to unpack final crate
@@bradw1808 I did have Judas doing that to cap the last airfield and win the campaign but the track file broke 😭 I've done it before on an airfield. Someday I'll try it on a farp. Someday...
I'd personally appreciate guides on the different missions you can do on contention, from the beginning For example CAP mission, how do you know where to spawn, how do you know where to fly to and avoid and what to look for CAS how to select your targets, best things to aim for and how to avoid enemy air Strike, how to pick your spawn in relation to the target, how to select the target and how does it help the war effort. How do you limit your exposure to enemy cap
I as a multiplayer noob have trouble understanding what actually needs to be done when I join and look at the map - what and where needs air defenses? Which defenses? How far is it worth to travel in a single trip? How to pick spawn FARP? Might talk through all this decision making when you plan a flight in different situations
@@CarrotOfAnachronos I cover much of this on the other guides in this series. But yes, I will be doing a series in the future based on giving as much of walkthrough for various types of flights as I can
I have not played this server yet, but look forward to doing so. I have one question does the server restart, and if so does the deployed units/vehicle disappear or will they stay on the map?
@@Catchey9548 yes, I believe the restart is on a 12 hour timer. It will let you know the time left when you join. And yes, units persist across restarts.

Very coherent and well put together, more contention tutorials please! Hopefully they bring more DCS players to multiplayer, specifically PVP servers.
PLEASE DO AN SRS TUTORIAL TIRED OF 30 people being on but 8 in 251.00am😂
Already got one for ECW and it's the same, but yeah, will do one for this server too.
I think the problem ppl have with srs is conecting to it via the cockpit radio controls specific to there aircraft

Sounds like a great idea! Will definitely add that to the list.

So the SA342 is not a rotary anymore :D. MAybe setting up a SA-3 is more a groups task..

does deploying the unit crates that cost team money earn you personal credits?
@@ItsJustSteve yes. You get 1 personal credit for unpacking a crate. Crates cost team points to unpack
If I drop a vehicle outside of the outer ring can i then drive it into the inner ring using combined arms?

Yup, all the time! I send out pings on my discord server whenever I'm heading on. Link is at the top of the description.
