I’m Omani, and this is the best video I’ve ever watched about my country, thank you for your amazing output. Because I’m sure after your video many people who will see this video will visit Oman. Hopefully, you come back again to Oman soon to meet u here ♥️.
When i started making this video, i told my friend (the one that you can hear his voice in the beginning) that i want to make something very good about Oman. I don't know if i made it but thank you for your comment. It means a lot to me coming from a local.
I trully feel the biggest fan of Oman, Am still young but people get confused when I talk about Oman, I gues it feels treasure for me and many people. Much thanks to the Omani people and You. And much thanks for the channel for showing the beauty to the people.
WOW def one of the BEST videos on Oman. You did a lot in the short time you were there. This country is going on my to see list. Thank you again for this video……..🤗🇨🇦
I am surprised that you have so few likes on this video. Stellar production, very informative with great breakdown of everything I wanted to learn around tourist trip to Oman. Evharisto!
I watch many travel videos and your compilation of travels in Oman is impressive! Looks like Oman has it all - great culture, landscape, people and food. One for the bucket list.
It was great watching your videos! We are now preparing for Oman in March. Could you show me an exact place where you camped in the Jebel Shams mountains? Can a plain non-all-wheel drive car get up there? At Wadi shab, where were you able to leave the photographic equipment before the water part? Thank you in advance for the answer!
Thank you. It was more or less on this point that we turned from the dirtroad towards the cliff. maps.app.goo.gl/We17yMowZvryz8jV9 We didn't have 4x4 but there were some flats rocks that i could drive to get closer to the cliff. If you get there, i'm sure you will find it. At Wadi Shab, i didn't have the camera with me. Only gopro which we had all the time with us. We left clothes and food next to one of the rocks. i think we left camera in the car, mostly to avoid getting it wet and not because i was afraid someone might take it.
Thank you. 2 days actually. The first day was for the goat market, the fort and the city. The next day we did a tour to the small cities and locations around. Everything was pretty close.
Next time you come to Salalah South of Oman End of August to mid of September It's different and more beautiful Most of Omani's vacations have been there
Just general advice to those who are planing to visit Oman, I would say ideal time to visit from mid november to mid february. 1 month before 1 month after is okey. Other than that summer heat is not pleasent, unless you plan to visit Salalah ( from end of July to mid september).
Auwal is the dried shark. However, the dish is called Maleh which means salty. Some might call it Masoorat Maleh. It can be made from dried shark or tuna. If you are into sour food, then you might like it.
@@THATGREEKGUY_ Well, I understand, and that maybe because the full dish isn't complete. It's not a soup that you have it separately. It goes with white rice. This isn't a usual dish that we have it in daily basis. When we crave it, we go for it. Myself I prefer it this way, white rice with some ghee on top of it, then adding the Maleh to it. As I said earlier, it has a lot of sourness. In general here in Oman we like our food to be sour and spicy to get that kick.
@@humaidr the way you describe it, sounds much more appealing. :) Hopefully will get the chance to try it properly next time we visit. Thank you for your feedback! All the best from Greece.
@@THATGREEKGUY_ Yes, Thareed is a stew mixed with flat, baked bread. Bread is cut into small pieces and soaked in a separately prepared chicken or meat stew, which is flavoured with distinguished spices. Most local dishes are made from chicken, lamb or fish. Thareed is no exception. Thareed is also called ‘Fareed’ in some parts of the country.

where did you rent your car from? did you have any difficulty with the dirt roads? questions from a fellow greek!
