Just about this time the Semites were moving from their homeland in the Syro-Arabian desert into the Near East in two directions. They moved eastward into the Mesopotamian and westward into the Canaanite zones. Here you had this mashing together of two unlike cultures, and if you want to know what it might have been like to live in one of these little towns in those days, just read the story of Jacob and his twelve sons invading Sechem. There was a dust cloud on the horizon-was it a sandstorm or was it a bunch of Bedouins coming? It happened to be Bedouins . . . and the next morning everybody in the city was dead. These were terrific times when these two worlds were coming together.
Great Video as usual. I don’t think any followers of yours do any trip without watching your vlogs. Your vlogs are so descriptive and detailed. Turtles are just wow
I have heard many great things about Oman. Everything looks absolutely beautiful. I will definitely need to visit Oman one of these days as I know I will have a great time there. Awesome video!
we went to oman for our honeymoon in 2018, went to all the places you covered in this video except the islands. what an incredible country, i’d love to visit again especially the souk in Nizwa and get way more rose oil than i got last time. Oman is the rose oil destination in the world.
Thank you for sharing Oman!!! I live in Muscat during winter season. My first time visited Oman was back in 2008, since 2022 I become resident in Oman by buying a property. I would say the magic of Oman is its people. Also, I do not see people change much since 2008. They are still super nice and more opened minded now
Wow that’s so interesting ! I can see why you love Oman and I definitely agree with you about the people there being genuine and so kind. It’s wonderful to know it hasn’t changed much in that regard 😍✨
@@Kristinahouwer indeed. Also the price are still stable too. I love the environment, people, culture, manner there. My dream country is the best to describe Oman:)
Hi! It was by Daymaniyat Sea Tours and on Tripadvisor it’s called : Daymaniyat Islands Snorkeling Half-Day Tour. You can book it directly through Tripadvisor :) hope that helps !
Thank you, debating on a trip next year, and this is helping me solidify to visit Oman! Going to check out some of your other videos too to compare :)!
Thank you so much ! I loved Oman and can highly recommend it ! Also check out the Doha video if you’re looking for another place in the area to visit and the Jordan series (if it’s safe to go by then obviously)
Hi Kristina I’m going to Oman in 3 months and found your amazing video with so many good tips. Which company do you recommend for the day trip to the Daymaniat Islands from Muscat??
Hi thanks for watching the video , glad to read you enjoyed it :) we rented a car at the airport on arrival and used it to drive everywhere, including the marina in Muscat where we met the islands tour operator. There are many of them and they all go to the same places but I found like through tripzdvisor and it was called daymaniyat islands snorkeling half day tour
Greetings! New to your channel and subbed as well. Thank you for sharing your trip. I will be in Oman next year. Can you tell me the name of the company you used for your island excursion? I would definitely like to see that while I'm there. Thank you and safe travels.
Thanks so much for subscribing , means a lot ! The excursion was through Tripadvisor and it was called Daymaniyat Islands Snorkeling Half Day Tour, it was around 150$ from what I recall. There are others you can choose from , most of them go to the same places, just depends how much time you have in the day ! Hope you have an amazing time , Oman is a beautiful country !
Great footage. Did you explore much of the south of the country by chance? Around the Salaleh area? If you ever decide to come to Iran, let me know. It's a treasure trove of cultural sites and nature, and some of the best food you'll ever have.
Thanks very much ! It’s nice to do so in the cities but in super touristy areas where it’s hot and you go swimming , the tour guides don’t mind if you cover arms/ legs or not
Yes , I 100% recommend Oman for solo travelers. I felt so safe there and the people are extremely nice, genuine and helpful. My car was rented at the airport as soon as I landed and I gave it back at the same place before my flight home. It was definitely the best option to get around
Kristina hello have you ever been to Wales or France Corsica thank you have very beautiful eyes you are worthy and you are very beautiful i hope you visit France Corsica you are a amazing i am in the process to get my passport thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
Yes, and a result of that invasion some parts of Oman were under Portuguese rule in the 16th and 17th c. Fascinating to still see remains of that. Thanks for watching 💕
Thanks for watching and for your comment , it’s so interesting for me to hear about different experiences people had in the places I’ve travelled to ! Have a great day xxx
It’s legal but frowned upon unless you’re at the beach. When I was at the beach it was totally fine but as soon as I crossed the road to a nearby cafe in my swimsuit and shorts, I definitely got a few surprised looks. No one said anything though and it also depends what beach you’re on - if it’s only tourists then you’ll be okay but if it’s mostly locals it might be better to keep swimsuit for beach only and just throw on a linen shirt or dress over it for other places
@@Kristinahouwer actually I asked you to see the opinion of tourism people sorry for that. Hi did you register drone there ? or just use ?
Hi there , I actually rented a drone from a local drone pilot the day I arrived to Oman
Can Americans get visa on arrival? everything i read online says yes but it is recommended to get the evisa online.
I don’t know about US passport holder as I have a European one and I’d hate to give you false advice ! 😓
UK nationals need visa or is it on arrival?
I don’t have a uk passport but my visa was on arrival. Most accurate is to check online beforehand
Thank you for this video!! How is the uber situation? Do u need to drive everywhere?
Yes , a car is needed. We rented our car at the airport but one time I also got an Uber and it worked very well
Do you recommend Oman for solo travelers? As well do you recommend renting a car to get around Oman?
Yes , I 100% recommend Oman for solo travelers. I felt so safe there and the people are extremely nice, genuine and helpful. My car was rented at the airport as soon as I landed and I gave it back at the same place before my flight home. It was definitely the best option to get around
