How interesting. I follow a cobbler who repairs LV & Gucci at what I thought were crazy high prices. But assumed they were just sentimental people with too much money. But now I get it. Thanks
Hi, yes I follow a few cobblers too and they almost charge as much as Louis Vuitton😱So, to keep the integrity of the bag, brand, and also for resale purposes, I opt to may just a title more to have Louis Vuitton repair them and if I keep the bag I saved a little versus paying full retail prices😃
@@arbeeheartslv3859 I love what you do. The older stuff is better anyway & deserves to be saved. It’s cool you can sell the styles that aren’t your faves. Good luck, happy shopping 😊
@@arbeeheartslv3859 Your welcome 😁! I would like to ask you if you spray "Apple Garde" on your vachetta before usage or after? If your vachetta does get a bit dirty how do you spot clean it? The reason I'm asking is, because I recently purchased a Louis Vuitton Trouville, and I'm going to take it in the LV store to have the vachetta replace; however, I have lots of mix feelings about spraying my Trouville. I seen a few bad and good reviews on Amazon regarding "Apple Garde", so I don't really know what to expect I'm new to this vachetta replacement. Watching your videos and another TH-camr have changed my mind about wanting to own Louis Vuitton items with vachetta. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
@@r.and.s.23 I use the Apple Garde before I ever carry my bag. I believe you’re suppose to spray the bag down every couple months as it states it on the label, I just can’t remember how often☺️as far as spot clean, to be honest, I haven’t had to do that much since I’m super careful with my bags, but I will tell you that I have only used the water based wipes when I had to, a couple times, and it worked just fine, just be gentle😉I think I’ll do a video on this! I could wipe down my Keep All and spray down my 40 again😀I do have a Speedy 35 I’m waiting to receive from Louis Vuitton from repair. I think I’ll show and tell with that one! Hi! I had two done at the San Diego Fashion Valley Mall in CA, two of them were repaired at the Costa Mesa Mall in Orange County CA, and the last two were mailed in to the repair hub in Ontario CA.
Comments are turned off on your last video on the speedy repair, so I came here. Yes it’s not completely true when you hear that they will not touch a cracked canvas. I’ve seen the whole top trim be replaced on cracked canvas on a fb group. But I think it has a lot to do where you sent it. Neiman marcus vs rodeo. Also bags no longer have date codes, so maybe that’s way they didn’t add a code. Don’t know, but love your videos, love the make overs
So weird! I don’t know why TH-cam turned them off?? I send all of my bags directly to LV’s repair hub since I do all my transactions online. Believe it or not the repairs go to Ontario, CA.☺️I had no idea they were so close🙈I did asked about the date code and they mentioned the bag was chipped since they didn’t add a date code which is great. At least I have that for authenticity or repairs in the future. Thanks so much for watching! I appreciate it❤️🤗
@@arbeeheartslv3859 that’s awesome that they chipped it, but I do still prefer the date code. My speedy b is chipped too, it just is weird for it not to have that code.
Hi! I’ve actually mailed in a couple bags for repair to an actual store. That time, they inspected them and then sent them off for repair. Since then, my last three repairs have been done via email, with thorough photos attached, through the Louis Vuitton website, which I find to be so much easier. I’ve not had any issues with any repair yet. :)
Hi Michelle, your best bet is to email Louis Vuitton at usacareservice@contact.louisvuitton.com , send them pictures of your bag and ask. They will take up to a week to reply back. I do all of my repairs via email and mailing my bag direct OR you can take your bag in to an actual store and they might be able to get a quote for you. Hope this helps! :)
Hi Michelle, just wanted to let you know that I did buy an Alma bag for repair and Louis Vuitton quoted me $660 for all leather parts and $440 for the new lining (mine needs a new lining) so my total will be $1140. Hope that helps!!
Miriam!😊Thank you so much for your comment but it truly is more than just buying new or saving a couple hundred dollars. Some of us in this LV community love the vintage quality, which has held up for many years, versus the newer quality, which unfortunately, has not.

Hey, what's the name of the small crossbody bag??
Hi! It’s a Gibeciere PM. Some people confuse it for the Solonge. ☺️

Does anyone know how much it costs to replace the vachetta on the bottom of the Alma?
