LOUIS VUITTON REPAIR UPDATE | COST, ISSUES, AND HOW LONG DID IT TAKE?

LV seems to be inconsistent with their repair fees. I bought a Montaigne Empreinte MM with really messed up glazing that needed to be reglazed. I was quoted $550 to reglaze the entire bag back in September 2022. I was fine with this because I bought this bag preowned and this bag is not on my buyer’s profile. I just received the repaired bag back last week (took 5 months) and LV actually did not charge me a penny. I was shocked! AND they even gave me brand new extra strap, clochette, and leather strap holder. No charge for repair and the extra accessories at all. I was shocked and felt like for the first time in years LV actually backed up their products. BTW the bag wad 7 years old and I was prepared to pay lol

Wow that is awesome. I am so glad they did the right thing. It was very weird that the handles on mine were sticky but I'm just glad it's fixed now😅

i work at lv repairs and to replace the handles on the alma, the hardware is replaced because otherwise itd be near impossible to do that repair!

also, that bag is really hard to get spare parts for! believe me when i say i have bags i started working on that im waiting on spare parts from france that i just havent seen in MONTHS

The Alma looks gorgeous 😍😍, sorry you had to go through that. To me it sounds like they were just giving you the runaround because I’ve never heard that before. I have a repair that was sent off on August 19, 2022, and I received a call from LV that they just shipped it out to me. No communication unless I initiated my concerns. Insanely unacceptable…The price increase is crazy because whatever you’re quoted is what you pay for…they really tried it.

I love Alma’s. I have three. I have a patent leather bag from LV and it’s not sticky. I enjoyed watching.

They had my vintage Alma for 10 months... and yes, they are not good with communicating, I had to call several times.

Unacceptable! You should’ve spoke with the manager. The least they could’ve done was waive the fee, especially since it was forgotten about on their end! OAN, congratulations on that beauty! 🤩

You waited so long plus they made you pay for the sticky handles. I would be upset over the dents in the bag. No box of perfume samples. No communication for months.

It was really upsetting, especially because I've heard its a defect when the bags get sticky but I'm just glad its fixed now😅

It was probably from hand sanitizer and lotion Alcohol is super hard on patten leather. The melting defect was on glazing (it happened to me and they replaced my whole bag because of a melted strap!) Also, if may have been exposed to heat and light before you owned it.

😭 I’ve been waiting since Dec 2022 for my Sunglasses to be repaired ! My original estimate repair date was June 10 2023 and I haven’t heard anything :,( but the SA told me my repair was going to be free ! :)
