Here's a great tip I learned years ago. If you have a fly in your house when you're heading to bed, make sure the last light you shut off is NOT your bedroom light. The fly will buzz from room to room with you as you're shutting lights off. Whatever room is the last light you shut off is where the fly will be for the night. It really works!
This is true! I leave my scentsy warmer on overnight and it catches the fly 😂

Great tips and tricks Ashley. I have a little trick for the pool too, I wet my hair before I get in the pool and put some leave in conditioner that way your hair isn’t absorbing the pool water. I feel like my hair doesn’t get so dry from the chlorine and it was a must when I had blonde highlights.

I’ve had a brown bag hanging for 3 years!! Lol It’s made it through the winter. No wasps! I use to have wasp go behind my shutters all the time. It works! Thanks Ashley!

All great. My favorite is the penny in water in plastic bag. All Summer we seem to get flies in the house. I'm going to do that as soon as I've finished laundry. Thanks Ashley. Even at my age I'm always learning new hacks from you 💜💙💚💛🧡
Dryer sheets work wonderfully! My boys were scouts and would take them to Bartle Camp with them every summer.
Also, if you have fresh Basil laying around the house, rub your arms down with basil. They are sensitive to scents and that helps keep them away.

Ashley, this is 1x of my fav type of videos you have shared. I love the Summer but it can be a downer if you don't tackle all of what you shared and more. I've done quite a few of these hacks and learned some new ones. Thank you for that. A tip I learned from an avid gardener is to have fresh or dried lavender out and inside your home to repel flies, fleas and mosquitoes. Also citrus, will repel those pesky bugs as well. Lastly, avoid wearing fragrance when sitting outside. It will attract every bug out there and change a good time to an absolute annoyance. 😎👍🏼💛 🍋

Great tips!!! Another mosquito bite remedy is to run hot water over the back of a metal spoon, as hot as you can handle, and put it on the bite. It's worked for our family and a few of us are mildly allergic.

I love the hacks! I put beach towels on the driver & passenger seats when the car is going to be in the sun for awhile. This is good for the sides of the seat that the sun shade doesn’t cover. ☀️

Hello from Oregon. About 8 years ago we bought a set of 6 fake hanging wasp nests from Amazon. We love them and they really work. We store them over the winter as they fold flat when not in use. I'll try some of your other summer hacks.

Love these hacks! I bought the umbrella sunshade after seeing your Amazon video and I love it!!! I also just bought room darkening shades and curtains and it really does make a difference. The rooms are cooler.

Love your backyard! I’ve seen people make really cool decks around their above ground pool and place it a few feet into the ground. It looks really cool to do with a trampoline too. Just an idea but your yard looks amazing.

I think I love the hack for the flies. They drive me absolutely crazy! I have pest control that sprays monthly for outside bugs, but it never seems like those things die!

I really like your blinds you have in your living room! My house has tall windows like that, and I have the wooden blinds on them. It helps with light/heat (living in Georgia), but I really like the airyness of how yours look!

I wanted to share one of my favorite summer hacks. When my kids were little we too had an above ground pool. We would take empty ice cream buckets (my husband and children kept us supplied with them) and fill them with water and put them in the deep freeze. On those really hot days, we would let the ice float around with us! It kept us cooler and the kids always teased that we were in a giant’s summer drink♥️
Thank you for sharing all these tips!! I've been using your brown bag wasp hack ever since you first shared it years ago. It works! Also, I just have to add if you are someone with ac in your car or a car in general, please don't take it for granted! I'm working on saving up for a new one but in the mean time my son and I are walking everywhere and this heat has been absolute TORCHER for the both of us. I try to make it fun and distract us from the sun by playing games as we walk or carrying spray bottles with us but my oh my, I can't wait until the day I can afford even an old junky car! Lol.

Thank you so much for sharing these helpful tips/ideas !!! I need that umbrella car visor for sure. Just last week I went to work . I work at the hospital and I was working a 10 hour shift that day. When I got off and got in my truck the sun had cracked my windshield about 5 inches from the bottom where the windshield wipers are towards the top of my windshield. It slipped my mind to crack my windows because it was so hot that day (96 degrees) 🤦♀️ LESSON LEARNED
Wow that is some major heat to crack the windshield! The umbrella visor is so easy to use and will save your interior and windshield for sure!

Lavender oil takes the sting out of bug bites. I useMurphy’s Lemon Eucalyptus oil insect repellent. Love this stuff

My son David always got bitten by mosquitoes. We used a bug bite stick to help the itching and healing process. I believe we got it in the medication aisle or by the body bug spray.

Mosquitoes LOVE my roommate! She can go outside for 5 minutes and come inside with a couple bites. I’m gonna have her try the dryer sheet hack! Also, I have this thing called “the bug bite thing” where if you do get bit, you just put it over the bite and pull back the handle and it sucks the saliva out that makes it itchy. It’s worked wonders for all of us!

I get really bad mosquito bites that get swollen, itchy, red and painful. I tried many ointments and home remedies, nothing really work enough to ease the discomfort until I found StingStop at Sprouts, it's an ointment, it reduces all the discomfort within the same day and it helps with reducing big brown patches after it heals.
I love the hacks for keeping wasps and flies away! Using baby powder on your feet and skin helps to get rid of sand from the beach!

Hi Ashley I liked the bee bag and the umbrella for the cars windshield to keep the heat out, Which I will be getting now for our two suvs, thank you for all the hacks some I already do ,closeting curtains when the sun moves ,it does help so much keeping the inside of house cooler. The car fan is a good one to ,will tell my daughter about it for my granddaughter. Also likes your cooking in your last one.got another one? By see you in the next one.
