For the scent booster wouldn’t it be better to use those little silk/ nylon bags instead of a bowl? Anyway, your videos are fun! And I adore your clean house 🌺🌸🌼

For the drawer hack, my husband uses corks from wine bottles to stop dividers from moving around. However,, the pool noodles are good because you can cut them to size in case you needed longer stops. I enjoy your videos.

      Pool Noodle Hack
I use a slightly thicker pool noodle. It fills the gap between my bed and the headboard which keeps my pillows from sliding back down in the gap.
A complete length noodle works for my full size bed. You could glue gun two to make it longer and cut to size.

Scent boosters/dryer sheets are very toxic to you, your children and pets. Getting headaches easily may be a sign your body isn't tolerating them

Hey, what about a knee high stocking opposed to putting the beads in a small bowl ? I would place them in a knee high and make a knot especially for the closet cuz I know ( I would forget it’s in there and those little beads would be all over the place ). Preferably a white stocking cuz it’s less of an “ eye sore “ over typical beige or black. I take whole cloves as a hack for now to deter closet moths. Supposedly moths despise it’s aromatic sent. Thank you for your video, big hugs from New York.

I tend to forget stuff like I placed a dish of scent beads up high and I could see myself knocking it off when using a swiffer and being showered with scent beads. So I like the idea of using a knee high ! Thanks 😊

Is it the fairy platinum I wonder? I knew it was the same manufacturer, but there's so many different types of fairy! There is a fairy power spray also but they have changed the formula and it's not as good! The fairy platinum washing up liquid has also changed, it was blue and a very good product however it's now green and not as good as when it came on the market at first. Has anyone else noticed this?

I got so tired of throwing away toilet brushes mostly bc they would get rusty from the wiring in the brush head. Home Depot sells a toilet brush called Unger ( kinda pricey ) $ 15.00 but it’s amazing as the brush doesn’t sit in it’s own cup after use. After cleaning the brush it’s somewhat suspended by a small latch and this method allows the brush to dry out. Check it out guy’s, our landfills will thank us !

Dryer sheets I'm thinking was if you don't clean the traps, so don't be lazy and I'm not putting Downy unstopables in my fish tank so I'm sure that's okay. Going out on the limb to say it's probably not any worse than any perfume that gives lots a headache ,as long as your light handed with it it's not like you're taking it like a crayon and rubbing it everywhere. Hairspray is toxic what you cook with this toxic everything is toxic your water has fluoride in it which is not good for adults 🤯 we can pick a part anything ,your carpet your fabrics that are already on your couch. The soda you drink if you drink mountain dew it has fire retardant in it so does Gatorade. We could go on and on.

FYI synthetic fragrances are endocrine disruptors. If you have thyroid, adrenal or hormone issues (PCOS, endometriosis, infertility) you should be avoiding synthetic fragrances at all costs. Also, look at scented dryer sheet packages. There is a warning that says not to touch to skin. What the?...that stuff gets all over your clothes which touches your skin. I'm not bashing these hacks I only say this to help women with these problems.

Thank you so much for posting this hacks, my favorites are those downy laundry booster beads, which I use in my car, I filled out coffee filters and secure them with a rubber band. I also use pool noodles between the driver seat and passenger seat between those gaps so dirt or debris won’t go there.

Another hack for the pool noodles if you have a trampoline: You can cut them down to size to cover the springs on the side. That way little fingers don't get caught in there either! You can also use different colors and make it fun!

Love the idea of placing the scents throughout the house, but these chemical filled beads made me cringe-especially since you mentioned you got a headache filming this for us. An alternative could be what I do, which is to use essential oils on cotton balls and put them in little glass votives in different places in the house to help get a clean scent throughout.

I pray no one ever has to use this hack but if you have a loved one who has to be in a hospital bed you can wrap the legs of the bed with pool noodles so don't stump your toes. I live in the country and we still have water pumps and I wrap my pipes with pool noodles in the winter to protect them as well as outside faucets. I like the Unstoppables on the carpet. I will be trying that one.

If your vaccum smells you need to clean it... Most of them state on the machine to clean after every use.. Take it apart and wash it. Scent beads will not take away the dirt and bacteria that tends to coats the inside of the machine and filters.

I would be afraid to use the scent buster beads to spray on fabrics and rugs. It's formulated to go through the wash and rinse cycle in the washer. I would be worried about build up.

    • @ronniwalsh8985
      @ronniwalsh8985 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I completely agree! It's formulated to break down in many gallons of water and then gets rinsed away. It's not formulated for you to breathe it in at full strength for hours at a time. Copied from their safety data sheet Potential Health Effects (Acute and Chronic): (See Section 11 for more information)
Ingestion: May cause mild gastrointestinal irritation.
Eye Contact: May cause mild eye irritation.
Skin Contact: Prolonged or repeated exposures to perfume oils may cause slight skin irritation.
Inhalation: Prolonged or repeated exposures to perfume oils may cause respiratory tract irritation
Prolonged or repeated exposure is concerning for people (especially young children) and pets
One should not alter chemicals and only use them for their intended purpose.
That being said Unstobbables makes a fabric spray that is formulated for fabric use.

What kind of dog do you have? What is his/her name? How long have you had him/her? Is she your dog or the family dog? When I was a kid, we had a dog and it was mostly my sister's dog, Kalah, pronounced Kayla, and sort of my dad's dog, too. We also had cats - first we only had one cat, named Kitty, who was my mom's baby. Then, shortly after he passed, we had two cats, calico twins, and one, Ally, the short-haired, darker-colored, was my mom's baby, the other named Amber, lighter-colored, slightly longer-furred, was mine. We also had a mouse named Pinky who was my sister's, a couple Guinea pigs, mine named Cotton, Michelle's named Star, and a bunch of hamsters, un-named all of them, plus we had a fish or two over the years. Right now, we have a dog, a yellow lab, named Kahlua. She's the sweetest dog, very lovey, very goofy, very silly, very hyper, very silly, she's two years old and she is mine.

Is it safe to spray that laundry Unstoppable beads/water solution on things that your pet would get on the bottoms of their paws and lick it off constantly? If it's not a problem, I REALLY wanna do it, cuz man I am a SUCKER for Unstoppables!

So many great ideas...some I knew but others are new. For your tall, floppy boots-what about clippy pants hangers? I don't have this but it came to mind while watching. There are some that are shorter and I can't remember what they come on. Thanks for all the great hacks. How does the shower cleaner work on 'scummy/cloudy' glass shower doors?

All those artificial scents are HORRIBLE for hormones, please do not follow that "hack". I do not mean anything mean I love most of these types of videos I know she means well, but please do research for yourself and you will learn how chemical fragrances are hormone disruptors and can cause chronic issues when used repeatedly.

Great hacks I have been doing the spray bottle but I have been using liquid fabric softener as opposed to buying febreze or some other sprays. You are Brave my friend having all white with kids I am a boy mom I would never have white anything lol

Y'all, stop using laundry scents, whether beads or softener in spray bottles.
The product isn't formulated for it to be used that way. It will cause a waxy type build up on whatever you spray it on. Also, not great for pets.

The artificial scents are awful! They linger and are obnoxious. I do not want my house to smell like that. Essential oils are much easier on my nose and on my migraines. I got a free sample of the beads and couldn’t get rid of it fast enough. I mistakenly bought scented washing machine soap and dishwasher soap. Never again.

If you haven’t discovered the drill brush attachment . Oh my goodness. I cleaned my whole shower in like 20 minutes. It was so nasty. I sprayed it with dawn, let it sit, then used the drill brush and attach it to my drill..

20 years ago I cut a 45 degree angle into pool noodles, sprayed them with fabric glue, placed fabric over them and hot glued them around the hearth in front the fireplace. Once it was all in place I sprayed them with some fire retardant. We lived there for 5 years and when we moved I was able to pull it up with ease. Just an idea for those moms with kids who love to run from room to room. It kept my rambunctious kids from some serious head trauma, it hurt when they fell into it, but we never had to have any stitches. It was also much more pleasing to the eye than the blue and green pool noodles I had.

Definitely going to try the dawn and vinegar! Also, pool noodles, can you use it in-between the stove and counter to avoid the food falling in-between?

Great havks...except the pinesol...it is so caustic and if your dog would get into it, it would be dead...there are other liquids to use...

The scent boosters have a lot of chemicals in them, even diluted, spraying on bedding, sofas and pillows can cause skin irritation and allergy and breathing issues.

I made the air freshener with unstoppables. It left a residue. I tried using less. Still left residue. I do use them as you showed in small bowls everywhere. Mom always put baking soda or baking powder in her vacuum. The unstoppables smell a lot better. I use mouthwash in the toilet brush holder.

I love the smell of pinesol. You can also use dawn mixed with vinegar to shampoo your dog's. This is a nontoxic flea and tick killer.

stop using such harsh chemicals around your home, it's going to poison you and your children.
not to mention the horrible effects on our environment. also pro tip:
try to live more plastic free. all of this crap is extremely unnecessary

Just a heads up as someone with asthma, I'm going to have breathing problems if someone uses fragrances such as scent beads all over their house. please consider switching to natural solutions instead, and even then know a little goes a long way.

👍Hi Ashley!🌼 I love the hacks! They are really helpful and practical for use in home! Definitely going to use the beads around home and in closets! If you get those small nylon bags you can place the beads in there and they will not spill out of bowl. I will use the Dawn with vinegar for grout!👍
    ⭐️Thank you so much!⭐️

You could use a sticky felt thing with some essential oils on it and stick it on the inside of your vacuum bin thingy where all the dirt goes 🥴 what’s it called? Brain fart here 😂😂
