Will he be defeated again, or will he finally be victorious?

* This mod is currently NOT available for download, but might be added to our romhack Pokémon Luminescent at some point.

BDSP being built in Unity gave the modding community endless potential for years to come. Absolutely insane.
The literal only thing those games ever contributed to the franchise.

I feel like Ghetsis’ first animation doesn’t have enough oomph. With his DS sprite the man was so angry that he planted his cane in solid rock.

In the manga, he did beat N bloody with a cane, yup. I'm pretty sure his cane is loaded with concrete or something.
Just amazing... in a year, BDSP has received modding support comparable in some ways to a Gen 3 hack with how big of a scope it is.
This is just an insane glow-up; a remake *HATED* by a huge chunk of the community, now being turned into the best modern Pokémon game to mod.
What a time to be alive.

I'd put that up to it being made in Unity. We technically already have the tools to mod the shit out of it, we just need to know how to use them/how they'll affect the game.
Scary how close this can be the best pokemon game with how much modding potential it has, truly amazing!

That Eelektross is BEAUTIFUL. It even does a little dance, like in Gen 5! Well done on everything, but especially Eelektross. (Tbh, though, I think Dragonite and Ho-oh actually look BETTER in flight than standing.)
@i cant think of a name in my opinion, Dragonite should be a little more menacing. Cute, but menacing. I'm not saying it's flying is menacing, I'm just saying making it cuter isn't the way to go imo.

@@genericusername3334 honestly, him being on the ground looks menacing, it’s just the smile that makes it look a bit too friendly, I think if it were a more neutral line it’d probably look a lot more intimidating as a large flying reptile :P
Dragonite looks better. Ho-oh is just... Different.
Are you excited for the scales and textures other Pokémon have and that might transfer over somewhat so he looks fresh? Plus, just imagine having him with a Tera type like Poison or Ice? On top of Tera Blast being an any-STAB special move with Eel's SpA stat he could get to go nuts
BDSP will be future proof and will become the main game for future Pokemon 3D modding, mark my words. Thank you Ilca for making it in unity to save money lmaoooo
I wish Switch modding was more accessible so I could enjoy it better, there are emulators but not the same thing

This is proof 3D can be better than 2D, it’s always been an issue of color and animations being lackluster. This looks phenomenal.
while 2d has its own charm, i do agree they handled the 3d VERY poorly with the static poses and washed out colors. boy, and not to mention the sky battle syndrome.....
I’d say it’s a stylistic preference. There’s very good 2d and very bad 2d, but this right here is very good 3d.
3d on 3ds game is pretty good, but getting worse on switch lol, gen 8 and gen 9 is totally disaster.

It’s crazy how far modding for Pokémon has come. Typhlosion regained his glory, and we put Pokémon from an entirely different generation into the game. BDSP is probably the best game for modding, well done!

One of the biggest criticisms people made about it, was that it was made insanely cheaply.
The code was literally just copied over.
But then people realised that they have struck gold
The Masters models work so well which makes me happy to see, especially as someone who is a big fan of Masters. I'd love to see what the Sinnoh characters would like if they had their BDSP models replaced by their Masters models.
I'd love to see the Sinnoh Sygna Suits! Like Renegade Cynthia and Nightmare Cyrus.
I still do not get how they messed up the character model's faces so bad in BDSP. They all look weird, especially in comparison to the Masters models.

@@SwiggleMcJiggle from day one Masters absolutely nailed it with the accuracy of official characters art in 3D Models i feel it's actually a good platform for testing a proper 3D Models for the future main games project. then , BDSP happens lol

@@idosarts_and_kraftsif I remember correctly, somewhere along the timeskip from bw to bw2, practically the entire right side of his body is paralyzed. He has the patch on his eye, and the right side of his mouth is noticeably more stiff than the left. So that's the reason he only uses the one hand primarily and has the cane, outside of some minor plot stuff that he talked about as well

THIS GOES SO HARD. Ghetsis looks amazing, his theme slaps. You really made Eelektross absolutely perfect, same with the scale for Steelix and it rotating it’s body. You’re the best Pokémon modder.
Well the Ghetsis model (and theme) come from Pokemon Masters EX
I really like how Pokemon Masters EX has provided so many 3D models of characters
The rotating parts of Steelix are from Unova's moving sprites, so it's so cool to see that.
Seeing xatu actually staying grounded is refreshing in a way I can’t explain
I thought it already looked like that but I completely forgot, yeah!
Maybe there would be a bit of nostalgia in there because you would unconsciouly think of Xatu from the first Mystery Dungeon games, the Rescue Team ones.🤔

For once, the Masters track actually sounds okay to use for a battle like this.
You're doing unbelievable work my friend; through what you're accomplishing we're beginning to see what Pokémon could (and some might argue, should) be!
I had forgotten how much I missed Xatu standing still until I saw this video. XD
Pretty amazing stuff. Think my favorite part of this has to be when it zooms in on Ghetsis's face as he sticks his cane into the ground. Really gives a cinematic feeling to this showcase, and adds to the evil/insanity of Ghetsis.

Well that’s just fantastic. Using Ghetsis’s masters model and animations fits bdsp oddly well. The transition into the battle was also very good

I love all the changes you've done, especially on Xatu, Typholsion, Steelix and Eelektross
I love all these Pokémon but didn't use them in the latest generations mainly because of their model, you make me wanna use them with these animations!
I actually also like that Dragonite, Ho-Oh and Salamance are standing instead of flying, especially Salamance
The models also look height-accurate, not sure whether that's something you've added or whether they've looked this big before, I like it, though!
I also love Ho-Oh's shiny details, it fits!
The dynamic camera on Ghetsis looks really nice, too
I honestly hope Nintendo adapts most of your changes in future titles, well done!
Now this is legit INCREDIBLE, hyped for what's about to come!

I’m absolutely loving the work you’ve been doing, and the new animations and seemless porting of Gen V+ Pokémon is beautiful. This and the masters models allowing for new trainers as well leaves me really excited to see what you do next!

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I liked that the start shows Ghetchis's silhouette in white, while the background is black, I know this could only be a coincidence, but I imagine that was done for the game in the one that comes from (Black and White); and apart from that, he not only implemented the model of Ghetchis (which is from Pokémon Masters EX) or some animations of some Pokémon (like Typhlosion, which I admit, looks beautiful and fantastic), but also that he implemented 5th Generation Pokémon (remember that BDSP does not contain Pokémon beyond Diamond and Pearl), so, without prolonging this comment, I send my applause and praise to Yisuno for making a great and beautiful effort to do this :D
Man this is just absolutely amazing this is so good!!! Ho-oh looks glorious and so does Kyurem. Also the background is fantastic you can really tell how much care ILCA put in the backgrounds all you had to do was add up some touch-ups and man this is just so good

Some feedback to your amazing job:
• Typhlosion's fire looks a bit too fast
• The battle speed is also a bit too quick
• Does Kyurem not have a battle entry animation yet? The blueish flash was a bit nasty for my eyes
• Every mon of Dennis looks great!
• Is there a way to add the Pokémon's flying animation in when they are about to use a flying type attack? It looks a bit odd when Ho-Oh does a standing start
• When is Mirror B?
i absolutely love this since Gen 5 is my favorite, small suggestion though, if possible maybe give him a bit more oomph in his cane slamming animation in the beginning before the fight starts if that makes sense

It's time for modders to take over and develop Pokémon games.
It’s crazy that these Pokémon can be modded into the game and almost look like that there could be some extra dlc for bdsp even if they are not in the national or the regular pokedex themselves! Honestly the camera angles on Ghetsis are not only perfect, but man this is something else completely! I need to get these games when I can and see if I can mod them myself.
I'll admit that Salamanca animation in the original triggered me and you made it look a million times better

I love how you fixed Ho-oh, Salamance, Eelektross and Dragonite's 3D animations, and Steelix you made it more alive by spinning it's body. They look awesome like was in Battle Revolution. 👍🏻💯
Modders are doing such an incredible job
Few questions still go around in my mind: why BDSP have been develop like this? Like, why did they want to make them so faithful to the originals? Was it a Pokémon Company decision or a ILCA decision? These remakes would have been soooo much better.
It was almost certainly a GameFreak decision, they probably didn't want another company messing with their games too much.
This is non a remake This is just pokemon diamond end pearl on switch a remake is like oras with new pokemon from new gen things that warent in the original like mega end flying with the lati twins e the change to 2d to 3d

ILCA remade Diamond and Pearl in a new engine, therefore, BDSP are remakes.

Legends: Arceus was going to be the Gen 4 remake until it turned out too different, so they passed the gen 4 remake project to ILCA and changed direction for Legends

I am beyond happy with Eelektross’ lil dance, he’s one of my favorite Pokémon (alongside Kyurem)
I think they mainly fixed the problem of weird floating and constant flying and the size issue.
Also I think they added better colors as well
Can’t wait for 10 years down the line watching HeroVoltsy like, “Hey guys! Welcome to Pokemon Reborn 3D Remake”

The Masters EX models have allowed for SO many older characters to have "official" 3D representation outside of the 3DS. I hope more of them are added, seeing as we just recently got Plasma grunts and the Shadow Triad added.

Elektross's animations are a huge improvement. I like that you still gave a nod to it's swimming pose in the atack animation tough, it looks much better there
Ghetsis mouth animations could be cleaner and Im not a fan of the clipping in Steelixes rocks. That being said this still looks amazing and just goes to show the potential of BSDP for modding is insane. Any of you see the guy who added all the Pokemon? Imagine a DPPt version of Radical Red.
Might be an unpopular take, I would love to see an Ash battle mod video since he has a Masters Ex model.

Edit: I also wanted to point out that i love the attention to detail with the custom Ghetsis reaction when you pulled out Ho-oh. I suposse it would also work with any other legendary pokemon, but dang, this is such a neat little thing.
I would also love it if some trainers had custom reaction if you use a shiny pokemon.

Wow, yeah third vid definitely making me sub. If I ever decide to mod one of my switches, I think I might decide to go buy BD for your luminescent mod, this stuff is just incredible. Considering I wrote off BDSP from the start, these mods are single-handedly making me want to play the games myself. Thanks for making the gen 4 remake everyone deserved.

THANK YOU cost cutting method. On the other hand we got one of the worst pokemon port, but the other because it was build in unity so its future proof.

This is really, really cool. I love the Dragonite and Eelektross animations, and the way you animated Ho-oh really makes it live up to the title of legend.
Only complaints I have are that Ho-oh looks a little too glossy, which makes it look kinda out of place, and how some of the idle animations where they just do a little roar are a bit bland (though animation is hard and there are a lot of pokémon so I get that).
Still, those are just nitpicks and there is so much more about this that is done right, so keep up the good work 👍
