I think we all know how that was going to end. I’ll neither confirm nor deny that my sister bought 2.3T badges for me and I may or may not have gone to the Ford dealership to measure precisely where the 5.0 is located on a GT fender and may or may not have installed them on my Ecoboost.

I love the Ecoboost so much! Great as my driver and still extremely fun when I want it to be.
Plus I think they sound really good tbh, get some nice exhaust and it has a surprisingly great sound.
To me small turbocharged motors definitely proved there IS a replacement for displacement lol
@@LisaAnn777 na trust me I love my ecoboost too even with stock catback but upgrade down pipe they sound really good and roush cold air intake but nothing ever gonna be the v8 roar but to be honest if I could gave both I would but also I want that v8 power and speed no mods needed and the love and respect they get I love both but yea 5.0 is king no lie but both are wonderful cars it's just I had two of em I need something different

Heat Soak in the intercooler the stock intercooler is done after one hard run.
Put them on a road course and the lighter front end will help the ecoboost while the 5.0 will start over heating the front tires.
Engine weight is almost identical when you include the intercooler and piping so there is no issues over heating the front wheels.
No way the car with the sewing machine motor will ever win.....lol

Tbh if your mustang is going to be your daily driver the eco boost is a better option. I wanted a 5.0 but I drive 30 + miles a day and gas is ridiculous. When I get to a point where I don’t commute much or can get a second car a 5.0 will be in my driveway! But to be fair ecoboost owners getting told there car is slow is ridiculous anything over 300 horses is pretty fast. Standard cars are all under 200 horses
I have the 2017 pp full bolt and tuned on rtr rims(wider rear wheels) runing with stock 5.0s now turbo upgrades and 1 piece driveshaft comming soon should be consistent winning non forced induction 5.0s i like them both but cost was only 20k got like 5k in it in mods had some deals along the way so i got like another 2300 and ne dyno tuning and ill be really eating above ny weight class but at the end of the day both platforms are amazing engineering
At 60mph, the ecoboost gets 38+ mpg I have a 2020 4cyl 6speed
I have a 6 speed. It won’t do more than 30 mpg

I have a 2022 GT and at 60 mph I get 32~ mpg. I have the 10 speed these coyotes are something else.

I see this channel going far in the future, there’s some nooks and crannies that needs to be worked out but good job guys in producing a good quality video that was also quite humorous.
*Good production overall when it comes to how everything is played out to the camera work and music, as well as the information provided. HOWEVER, the fake arguing went on for way too long and was very overplayed. To toss in a line or two is one thing and can work to your advantage, but here it just made it hard to watch during those shots. Tone that down A LOT or just do away with it and interact in other ways and I'm sure your videos will do better since you're not exactly lacking elsewhere. They are cheaper but with all the add ons and stuff a fully loaded eco can surpass a base GT price. So in a sense if you have loaded eco money your better off getting a base GT but it all depends cause a bare bone GT doesn’t come with a lot of features like a semi loaded one has.

I drive 180km a day thats bout 111miles. Petrol cost me anywhere between $400-$450 a week, I'd probably still pay $300-$350 in a ecoboost. Love my GT but damn its pricey on yhe petrol
The way that 5.0 is running my 2021 2.3 High Performance Package would have been even or beaten that 5.0 in the heads up drag race.
I have the exact same EB as you and I was neck to neck with a GT earlier today. I would imagine we were both running 93. I’ll take that since I get a combined 27 MPG while doing so.
With 93 and a tune it would keep up with the gt no issue.

The joking/banter was fun and felt close to the Top Gear old days, a little better jostling and you'll be at a million subs in no time. Glad to see the comment section holding up the Ecoboost name. It's laughable how much more fun a tuned/bolt-in ecoboost is compared to the heavier GT. With upgraded tires, turbo-back exhaust, intercooler, cai and a decent tune alone, you're going to stay up with the GT. Add a new turbo, full suspension and brakes and you'll destroy any GT on the track as well. It's seriously more of a Miata killer from America than a GT comparison. It's beyond the GT, it's the muhammed ali against george foreman, faster, quicker, not slow and old power... It's Jordan versus the tall slow guys in the old NBA. It's beyond bone-headed american ignorance that horsepower is all that matters, as Captain Slow would say making fun of JC, "Powerrrrrr" lol

I traded a 2018 for a 2017 GT. Both are good cars but very different. The ecoboost is a great daily and great for munching the miles as it’s quiet. That’s also its downfall when you want fun though, zero sound. It’s got plenty of low down grunt that makes it feel quick exactly when you need it to. Good luck getting 31 mpg though. It’s either eco or boost. If you drive with some enthusiasm, you’ll do well to get over 21mpg. The GT just makes me smile as soon as I fire up the engine. I liked owning both cars, but it’s unfair to compare them.
No one drives more aggressive than the person who bought the NON V8 version of their car. I have a GT and I dont have anything to prove until someone comes along who deserves to see it.
With that extra ten grand, I agree you could make it faster because I have. But, it voids warentee and there’s no guarantee that it won’t cause much more issues than a stock gt.
You don’t need a warranty if you know how to fix your own car
Yeah sure you can sink 5-7 k into making the eco boost faster than a stock gt, but the gt will always have a higher ceiling. Hell my explorer st is faster than a stock gt right now, but once they throw some boost at that v8 it’s game over.
Yeah you could use the money on the eco and you can fix it if it breaks down on you but the ecos don’t last as long. They tend to crap out right after warranty is over. That 10k you save will be for your next engine replacement 🥲

They don’t even know what their talking about if you pick 3k into the ecoboost you would be able to run 11s in the 1/4 mile and to beat a 10 speed gt u will need a bigger turbo to beat them in a roll race only the 1/4 miles we have a chance but with 10k a ecoboost could have 700hp depends on what mods they get and a gt would definitely have to have a supercharger or turbo to beat the ecoboost then E85 on the gt won’t cut it and it’s already been proving

700 hp ecoboost, all it takes is one good run before the 2.3L grenades itself while the coyote with a decent supercharger won’t even flinch. But that’s besides the point, most ecoboost owners don’t go out their way to such extremes. Most are content with the mpg and power combo that they get vs the V8

Wouldn’t surprise me, I think all the OEM massage the figures and inflate HP. I do have a 2020 Eco.and it’s quick enough for my needs, but not racing of course, just a daily driver. After 16 years in company cars like Malibus and Fusions was ready for something with at least a little power when needed.

No, my 2020 Ecoboost Premium with navigation, upgraded audio, active exhaust was 28K (not counting tax title and license) when I bought in April 2021. MSRP was something like 36K but can get them for much less, it was aged inventory and the dealer was dealing.

You want to know what I love about the knock of mustangs and Camaro's they will be great for parts years from now.. Because they do use the same body panels and interior parts.. LOL.. I had a 2.3 stang all week as a rental. I can tell you it does everything you could possibly want. Burns rubber, pulls very strong, rolls at 140mph, and gets 30mpg. Highway, it’s amazing…
