Never seen a Ecoboost owner do this. At the end of the day it's just a Camaro or Mustang, there are plenty of faster/better performing cars out there, but it's these guys who drive these types of cars that act like it's a Lambo or Ferrari. 😮💨

I love the Ecoboost so much! Great as my driver and still extremely fun when I want it to be. Plus I think they sound really good tbh, get some nice exhaust and it has a surprisingly great sound. To me small turbocharged motors definitely proved there IS a replacement for displacement lol

I had a 2018 ecoboost 10 sp and l could get 35 mpg on the highway going 65-70 which was quite nice, and then go run 13.7 1/4 miles stock so I'll take that any day
Tbh if your mustang is going to be your daily driver the eco boost is a better option. I wanted a 5.0 but I drive 30 + miles a day and gas is ridiculous. When I get to a point where I don’t commute much or can get a second car a 5.0 will be in my driveway! But to be fair ecoboost owners getting told there car is slow is ridiculous anything over 300 horses is pretty fast. Standard cars are all under 200 horses
I've actually had Mustang GT's and an Ecoboost, and honestly an Ecoboost can get 35 mpg and with just a tune can get into the 12's so why the crap would anyone not like that??
Heat Soak in the intercooler the stock intercooler is done after one hard run. Put them on a road course and the lighter front end will help the ecoboost while the 5.0 will start over heating the front tires.
I have the exact same EB as you and I was neck to neck with a GT earlier today. I would imagine we were both running 93. I’ll take that since I get a combined 27 MPG while doing so.

I have the 2017 pp full bolt and tuned on rtr rims(wider rear wheels) runing with stock 5.0s now turbo upgrades and 1 piece driveshaft comming soon should be consistent winning non forced induction 5.0s i like them both but cost was only 20k got like 5k in it in mods had some deals along the way so i got like another 2300 and ne dyno tuning and ill be really eating above ny weight class but at the end of the day both platforms are amazing engineering
They are cheaper but with all the add ons and stuff a fully loaded eco can surpass a base GT price. So in a sense if you have loaded eco money your better off getting a base GT but it all depends cause a bare bone GT doesn’t come with a lot of features like a semi loaded one has.

I traded a 2018 for a 2017 GT. Both are good cars but very different. The ecoboost is a great daily and great for munching the miles as it’s quiet. That’s also its downfall when you want fun though, zero sound. It’s got plenty of low down grunt that makes it feel quick exactly when you need it to. Good luck getting 31 mpg though. It’s either eco or boost. If you drive with some enthusiasm, you’ll do well to get over 21mpg. The GT just makes me smile as soon as I fire up the engine. I liked owning both cars, but it’s unfair to compare them.

I drive 180km a day thats bout 111miles. Petrol cost me anywhere between $400-$450 a week, I'd probably still pay $300-$350 in a ecoboost. Love my GT but damn its pricey on yhe petrol

They don’t even know what their talking about if you pick 3k into the ecoboost you would be able to run 11s in the 1/4 mile and to beat a 10 speed gt u will need a bigger turbo to beat them in a roll race only the 1/4 miles we have a chance but with 10k a ecoboost could have 700hp depends on what mods they get and a gt would definitely have to have a supercharger or turbo to beat the ecoboost then E85 on the gt won’t cut it and it’s already been proving
700 hp ecoboost, all it takes is one good run before the 2.3L grenades itself while the coyote with a decent supercharger won’t even flinch. But that’s besides the point, most ecoboost owners don’t go out their way to such extremes. Most are content with the mpg and power combo that they get vs the V8
I have a 5.0 and try and run 87! all you will hear is the engine pinging like crazy and zero power. if you run less than 93 good luck. I wish they put the 3.5 eco in the mustang, I know why they didn't, cause they wouldn't sell any 5.0's. I personally would take the eco and do a little work to the engine. be able to walk 90% of the cars on the road and still get 30 mpg.

Yeah sure you can sink 5-7 k into making the eco boost faster than a stock gt, but the gt will always have a higher ceiling. Hell my explorer st is faster than a stock gt right now, but once they throw some boost at that v8 it’s game over.
Yeah you could use the money on the eco and you can fix it if it breaks down on you but the ecos don’t last as long. They tend to crap out right after warranty is over. That 10k you save will be for your next engine replacement 🥲

I had a 2.3 stang all week as a rental. I can tell you it does everything you could possibly want. Burns rubber, pulls very strong, rolls at 140mph, and gets 30mpg. Highway, it’s amazing…

I have a 2020 mustang ecoboost and it has 310hp and 350tq not 330 lol. If you tune the ecoboost it will literally around 500bhp, def not slow lol. The vents are real as well, cmon. Also, the girls love when I pick them up in my velocity blue mustang ecoboost lmfao 😂 🤪
No, my 2020 Ecoboost Premium with navigation, upgraded audio, active exhaust was 28K (not counting tax title and license) when I bought in April 2021. MSRP was something like 36K but can get them for much less, it was aged inventory and the dealer was dealing.
Wouldn’t surprise me, I think all the OEM massage the figures and inflate HP. I do have a 2020 Eco.and it’s quick enough for my needs, but not racing of course, just a daily driver. After 16 years in company cars like Malibus and Fusions was ready for something with at least a little power when needed.

The 1/4 mile difference is less than a second. And that 10k? Get a ford factory turbo upgrade and tune, that ecoboost pushes over 500 hp.

At 60mph, the ecoboost gets 38+ mpg I have a 2020 4cyl 6speed

I have a 5.0 and try and run 87! all you will hear is the engine pinging like crazy and zero power. if you run less than 93 good luck. I wish they put the 3.5 eco in the mustang, I know why they didn't, cause they wouldn't sell any 5.0's. I personally would take the eco and do a little work to the engine. be able to walk 90% of the cars on the road and still get 30 mpg.

Yeah sure you can sink 5-7 k into making the eco boost faster than a stock gt, but the gt will always have a higher ceiling. Hell my explorer st is faster than a stock gt right now, but once they throw some boost at that v8 it’s game over.
Yeah you could use the money on the eco and you can fix it if it breaks down on you but the ecos don’t last as long. They tend to crap out right after warranty is over. That 10k you save will be for your next engine replacement 🥲

I had a 2.3 stang all week as a rental. I can tell you it does everything you could possibly want. Burns rubber, pulls very strong, rolls at 140mph, and gets 30mpg. Highway, it’s amazing…

I have a 2020 mustang ecoboost and it has 310hp and 350tq not 330 lol. If you tune the ecoboost it will literally around 500bhp, def not slow lol. The vents are real as well, cmon. Also, the girls love when I pick them up in my velocity blue mustang ecoboost lmfao 😂 🤪

No, my 2020 Ecoboost Premium with navigation, upgraded audio, active exhaust was 28K (not counting tax title and license) when I bought in April 2021. MSRP was something like 36K but can get them for much less, it was aged inventory and the dealer was dealing.

Wouldn’t surprise me, I think all the OEM massage the figures and inflate HP. I do have a 2020 Eco.and it’s quick enough for my needs, but not racing of course, just a daily driver. After 16 years in company cars like Malibus and Fusions was ready for something with at least a little power when needed.
