Abdolutely NOT. you are not understanding the culture and the place at all. You can.
Not read the bible from an Twenty first century american western christian perspective. God promise an heir through Sarah.
The common practice of all peoples At that time in any place in the world, was to sacrifice their sons and daughters. Even babies and especially virgins. Sacrifice your first son. This is what Abraham grew up with. He saw it in his Community. He would have been taught it by his father who was not a monotheist. God Took.
Abraham and Sarah out from among the peopl. To a strange land with strangers to be as own independent tribe. Indeed God was testing abraham. He was testing to see if abraham would revert back to the pagan heathen practice of human sacrifice. God stopped abraham at the last moment. God provided an animal sacrifice rather than a human sacrifice for the first time in the history of man. He was teaching Abraham that human sacrifice. Is not accepted , it is an abomination.

Hi Buddy. I’m not exactly sure how the video shows I don’t understand the culture and place at the time. Clearly, God was working with a primitive people at the time and was also using this as a way to separate pagan worship to the worship He desired. You are correct. I don’t see how this refutes anything I said in the video. God could have been using this as a test, a lesson, and a prophetic metaphor all at the same time, no?
Nonetheless, I appreciate your comment and willingness to watch the video. God bless!
