You probably want some light or atleast a reflector in the new studio... the whole light is on the sides of your face while your actual face is in the shadow.... that usually makes a face look extra round... i do like the new "studio" though, the aquarium is closer and you can actually see the fish.
Agreed, also the sound is a bit off it seems to almost reverb, maybe a sound buffer or even foam on the mic maybe. Idk i dont know much about these things.
6:20 lmao, I was seating yesterday and looking at my shrimp breeding tank and my father comes up to me and tells me: 《Thats a lot of shrimp, what is their max size》. I damn well knew why he was asking 😂😂

Actually,to be sincerely honest in my humble opinion, without being sentimental and of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, and without hiding any thoughts in my mind, and without lies to the actual truth, with my clear open mind and clean heart, expressing whatever is embedded inside me for a long time which I didn't say because I was nervous. But today, by gathering all the courage and motivation, I just want to say that I actually feel and think that fish don’t belong in bowls. Thank you!
@accelerationquanta5816 I understand capitalist realism, but I'm not sure you do. I've read that book, in fact. I consider myself a communist. That's why I know the Sonenrad, a genuine and undisputed N@zi symbol used only by them, has no business being in the same logo as the hammer and sickle. Diametrically opposed ideologies. Are you, like, one of the fifty actual Nazbols on earth?
QOTW: This was the 90's and you couldn't get away with this today, but me and a friend pulled off what we thought was the greatest joke ever! On a busy rural street, neighbors across the street from each other were trying to outdo each other with signs for a local election. In the middle of the night, we pulled all of the signs, and switched them. We waited until the next morning to see the reaction when they walked out to get their newspaper...priceless!!! Might sound lame, but trust me it was hilarious!!!
We used to take lawn decorations and move the entire set up to another house somewhere in the same neighborhood. It took skill, stealth, and magically keeping 7-10 teens silent. Never could get away with it now.
The light in your new studio is great and the plants are gorgeous too. I can't tell if I like the angle of the couch or if it's too distracting. A few times I found myself mentally trying to fix it, then having to rewind to catch what I missed. Plus: that's a boost for watchtime.
hahaha true on the watch time xD definitely not on purpose from my end. this is just the best place so far to host ftr I feel like. I'll try other spots in the future perhaps
@@FishForThought You could do an episode where you make the room cramped and full of inconvenient angles, then talk about bettas in chaos. Be sure to include a tacky fake plant.
I just have an air stone in my tank, and in my other tank it doesn't even have a stone. Understocked with a ton of plants and floaters 💜 Nitrates were a tad high for the first couple weeks but the plants and algae cleared it up by themselves :D Some people have complained about me not getting rid of the algae but it's so pretty with it, it looks so naked without the beautiful brownish-gold and green hues on the glass (minus the front panel, I keep it clean for viewing!)

Debunking myths is helpful for all of us, even seasoned aquarists Your vids are funny (but true), your pets are cool as usual, and your hair is great as always haha If I wasn't disabled and had the funds, I'd support you in a heartbeat...maybe someday I can Thank you, Chirs
Love the new setup! I have feedback below, but feel free to ignore it if you don't want that! The angle of the couch/wall bothers me for some reason. I think the (perceived) tilt and the lack of mic makes it feel like you're floating in the middle of the room untethered. I think either/both having straight lines behind you, or a mic in front will help anchor you. But that's just me and maybe I just need to get used to it!
H, People are so fussy about little stuff nowadays when everything has to look perfect and with editing the videos is the most important stuff. I didn’t even notice that. I focus on the content, cheerful personality and calming voice and it is great. This is one of my favorite channels and makes my mood better. I would watch this even recorded with a poor camera in dimly lit room lol. 😊
@@TaijaT76 Agreed, this channel is one of my recent favs as well. Don’t worry, it’s ok if you didn’t notice the stuff I mentioned. Aesthetics are not the most important thing! A lot of people won’t notice the changes, or might have missed the part where he asked what we think about the new setup. But don’t you worry I got your back! I provided some optional aesthetic feedback. So you don’t need to fret and can keep enjoying the videos!

The emergency air stone is a must-have! I recently did a re-scape of one of my tanks, and after adding the fish back in, I noticed they were all gasping for air. Popped an air stone in, and within maybe a half an hour they were back to normal and are still doing great
I've got a 55gal on a stand just like that. The guy I got it from had wall straps on it but I wasn't able to attach them in its new location. I considered adding another tank on the bottom for stability and because extra tank but I was concerned about the weight on my diy pallet floor in my cabin. That said it made it through a 6.2 earthquake and the water was moving but not so much as a wobble on the tank and stand so thankfully I think it passed the stability test.
Qotw- I was a class clown in ballet. Perpetually driving the instructor to come up with new ways to punish/humiliate me. 😅 I believe I was asked not to join the following season. But continued on with and loved tap very much for years. A wonder what a few metal pieces on the bottom of shoes will do for a hyperactive child 🤘
I have one of those tank stands. It's around 40yrs old! It's iron and has been spray painted twice by me. My mom got it with a tank rescue in the 80s or early 90s. It's a beast and holds a 20 tall on top. There was a 15 with the same footprint on the bottom for all of my childhood. That tank is now on its own stand and both have 10gal tanks under
Qotw: as a kid, from ages 7-16 I used to play in construction sites after hours. It's crazy fun to be on the 2nd or 3rd story with nothing but beams and no flooring. I'm not sure kids these days get to sneak out like I used to
I was always into aquascaping but i didnt think my pet store sold live plants but recently i saw some and after that i did about a week and a half of research and now i have some amazon frogbit, javafern, moss and anubius and they are all very happy and growing new leaves and just getting bigger👹👹👹👹👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Yes FTR. Love the new studio set up and looking forward to the rescape video! This weekend was my aquarium clubs hobby day with a swap sale one day and auction the next. And on the swap day, while it MAY have been a bit impulsive... I got another pair of wild betta! A friend in the club was selling two pairs and I bought one. Originally he had it marked as betta hendra but we found out later he accidentally had sold me persephone which is definitely not problem to me as I love and have wanted both species! So far the couple seem to be doing well and settling in to their 5.5 gallon home. That's the nice thing about some of the wild species is ypu can house a pair in a 5.5 gallon as many of them are far more peaceful then the domestic spelendens and even the wild splendens complex.
I love the new set up!!!! when I was a younger I was hyper obsessed with fish tanks. now I gust really like to take care of my pea puffers. great video!!
QOTW: was a kid in the 80s so was completely unsupervised and could probably write a book about my mischief but I’m willing to share this One thing my friends and I used to do for fun. We would put things on the train tracks so we could see what they looked like after the train ran them over. I’m talking pennies, small rocks, toys. Nothing living I wasn’t a psychopath.
So I was basically a “good” kid, but my mom would take me and my friends out to toilet paper peoples houses. Now, this was back in the early 90’s so it was a bit different. But I had the best sleepovers since my friends and I were too young to drive and my mom was the get away driver.
11:55 reminded me of how my mother got a £2000+ tank for only £300 (came with the stand and tank, mega filter, a few fish, massive drift wood, plants and the sand. its a beautiful tank)
I have a filterless 25 gallon walstad that's chock packed overgrown and hasn't had water movement in over a year besides top ups. My healthiest fish live in that tank.
Grew up in the woods, and I wasn't super energetic. Mostly just hiding in the trees and pretending it was the entrance to a magical fairy land. Or kicking our evil rooster so he didn't bite me.
I used to run around my dads job site finding interesting things like the scrap pile 😂 avoid the nails of course and then almost getting stuck in the creek 😅
The new studio looks nice. I like the lighting here. But you should add some sound dampening foam, it seams there is some echo. The audio sounds different. Maybe you are just not speaking in that ASMR tone. IDK
My panda garra likes to lounge in those fake floating betta logs, especially when it gets stuck under the filter. Kept scaring me when I'd go to move it from being stuck, and she'd zip out and bump into my fingers :D
alsoooo I like the new studio set up too. I'd close the window on your left, which should be an immediate addition of contrast for your background. Your normal lighting is a really good balance of highlights on you and your costars, and adding a bit of darkness behind you again will add depth to the shot. Idk what you edit in, but if it's Premiere, using the Balanced Low Tone Voice under Essential Sound always adds polish. Or Clean Up Noisy Dialogue to remove reverb or echo sounds...which I didn't notice, but some of the comments today make it sound like maybe :) new set up looks legit though
I was always a trouble kid because I can't bring myself to respect rules about hair length or nail length Also sneaky activity with evading phone collecting >:) Congrats on 400k as well Chris!!!!!
As an artist, the cory with the shrimp sparks my imagination so much. QOTD: I did not get into much trouble with others but I was very accident prone. I once tried to hop a new fence with my friends by standing on those electrical boxes and hop over the fence. Let's just say I missed it and essentially got caught one leg hooked on the fence. Have a great day!
That ding dong ditch with the goldfish happened to me in high school. By that night I had a 10 gal, substrate, and air stone. My other friend that was a victim of the same event that evening just tossed it down the storm drain.
I keep my tank near my window with the back of the glass covered by a piece of cloth so my pathos grows and it isn’t being hit by direct sunlight so right now it’s doing great
Love the new setup, but would still recommend using an actual mic 😂 the sound is a bit echoey and hollow and a little painful if you are watching with earbuds 😅
your question at the end, what kinda antics did i get into as a kid/teen - Im not sure what the statue of limitations are on that i may have to get back atcha
got what i forst calculated as a 50gal at a goodwill for $20, its a 40gal but still a good deal. That was a while ago and now I rarley see tanks(used to see them all the time) and then its a 10gal for $20 which sucks since i JUST got my sister into keeping aquatic plants
Qotw: brought home a live water moccasin/cotton mouth snake. Tried to catch a timber rattler. Petted a skunk and thankfully never got bitten, except by a garter snake. I have no idea how I survived my childhood.
Very new look, definitely like the tank; can't wait to see the vid on it Tall narrow tank full of spindly driftwood would've been a *perfect* shrimp tank! Just picture an army of the little critters crawling all around 😍 But no. Goldfish. Those pea puffers must be living in heaven though, tank is just *crammed* with lush plant growth! That pleco tho 🤣
I just don’t understand the tall skinny tanks. Are they actually intended for fish? What fish would even work in it? How to you add substrate or most décor? How do you clean it? So many questions!
It depends on what tall skinny you're looking at. I remember 10 to 20 gallon towers which just don't have any swim space. Meanwhile some of the 6 foot tall ones are much wider than they look. Often the footprint is roughly two 10 gallons next to one another. At that point you can probably put anything you would put in a 10 gallon but not stocked heavily. Personally I would love to see one with jungle val being able to reach its full 6 foot height.
the answer is: want pretty box w water n fishie, while not sacrificing too much floor/counter space, because its more convenient for the owners and they don't care about how the fish feel about it because they are just pretty things to watch they do also sell comically large aquarium tweezers for use with tall tanks, so i guess if you were to look for it, you could find other comically long products (gravel vac? glass scraper?)
I was the kid who collect all types of kid friends that didn’t quite fit in. I was good of convincing people to do things. I definitely did not narrowly escape a class c felony because of family connections.
One bad thing I did as a kid without knowing it was bad was putting sea shells on a car window then letting them fall down into the car. It was my cousins dad’s car, let’s just say he got a bit mad 😃.
Bro, I came back to TH-cam after a while and thought I’d watch your most recent video! I got WHIPLASH from the new setup!!! It went crazy!!! Love the new tank in the background. And uh, can’t say I’ve done many mischievous things as a kid. I once told a Taco Bell employee that they got my order wrong just so I could get another grilled cheese burrito lol. In the bathroom for 40 minutes but so worth it
I guess I was one of thosegood kids. On May Day my sister and I would weave little awkward baskets out of willow branches and fill them with flowers we picked from the lawn like violeys and ding dong ditch them on our neighbor’s porches.
I miss the microphone. It gave it more of a talk vid feel and allowed for softer voice which was peaceful way to start the week. Other than that keep up the good work.
QOTW: at my grandmother’s second wedding (she met her second husband in their nursing home 😭) I changed the labels for the tea and coffee canisters around. I was a fan of very low-stakes pranks, apparently
We could see more of your tanks in the old setup to really give the fish crazed youtuber feel, and the white glare from natural sun on your face and the black couch kinda throws me off personally. but i’m loving trying out new set ups, and the big fish tank that is located closer to the camera so we can see it more up close. maybe just tweak the lighting a little bit? btw great video cant wait to tune in next week
I accidently breeded amano shrimps which i didn't mean to do. Basically i brought 4 amano shrimps to my comunity tank and 8 other shrimps all 8 of the other shrimps died but the amanos survived. And one day when i come back from school i just see tons of tons of baby amano shrimps, which was crazy.
I was the boring and restricted child. My greatest act of rebellion was sneaking extra books from the library and reading them by flashlight in my closet past bedtime...
Right of the bat, I Like the new scape, the mic from the old setup was a little too artificial for my taste. This new hidden mic allows for a much more natural aesthetic. Not sure about the hardscape, the TH-cam flex should not look like it's dangerously resting on the couch, hanging them a few inches higher would add a layer of dimension to the overall scape. Your lighting is superb, clean camera glass, Overall 4.45/5 keep it up
I lost a Molly to dropsy a few days ago Just appeared out of nowhere and died a few hours after I put it in the hospital The fish was beautiful, the darkest black you’ll ever see
What you really need is water and fish. Everything else are optional. But you really ought to get some plants too. And perhaps a thing or two more ... or ten og twenty. 😛
6:31 finally a tank from India! ❤🇮🇳 Congrats Parikshit! Seeing goldfish in India being kept miserably, i felt good to see your tank! 4.85/5. I HOPE PARIKSHIT SEES THI.

Fun fact: In austria its actually illegal to keep fish in a tank that doesn't have 54l and 60 cm length.
In America we measure in bacon strips

@NekoNebula1313 no we measure in dollars

@@diedampfbrasse98 as a fellow German... even at chain stores like Fressnapf they don't even sell tanks smaller than 54L

Idk what you edit in, but if it's Premiere, using the Balanced Low Tone Voice under Essential Sound always adds polish. Or Clean Up Noisy Dialogue to remove reverb or echo sounds...which I didn't notice, but some of the comments today make it sound like maybe :)
new set up looks legit though
they are zoomy masters for sure!
thx for the feedback too!
The magic trick for your sponsor is how you do marketing right 👌👌
ty!!
I was always a trouble kid because I can't bring myself to respect rules about hair length or nail length
Also sneaky activity with evading phone collecting >:)
Congrats on 400k as well Chris!!!!!
thx so much!
5/5 Kevin impression 😂
thx i'm quite proud of my kevin impression
As an artist, the cory with the shrimp sparks my imagination so much.
QOTD: I did not get into much trouble with others but I was very accident prone. I once tried to hop a new fence with my friends by standing on those electrical boxes and hop over the fence. Let's just say I missed it and essentially got caught one leg hooked on the fence. Have a great day!
yes it's a golden idea for a children's book perhaps
I have a striped raphael that does loops around the air bubbles coming up from the filter.
LMAO
I would put pinecones in people's mailboxes as a kid. Because I was a serious rebel.
Whoa there! There's cheeky mischief, and then there's pinecones. You're lucky you didn't end up in juvie with antics like that!
sheeeesh
This set was fun for a day, but I definitely like the studio better. Better sound quality and having your tanks behind you is great. 🐠
haha unfortunately this is the new normal xD I can't go back!
That ding dong ditch with the goldfish happened to me in high school. By that night I had a 10 gal, substrate, and air stone. My other friend that was a victim of the same event that evening just tossed it down the storm drain.
sheesh...
The studio is looking awesome 🤩
Yay, thank you!
I just Love your channel. Starts my Monday right! Coffee and your channel, need I say more.
Cheers ☕️🎏
glad to add to your monday vibes!
The goldfish's was trying to Dr Strange out of their situation 😅
lmaoo
I keep my tank near my window with the back of the glass covered by a piece of cloth so my pathos grows and it isn’t being hit by direct sunlight so right now it’s doing great
sweet
I'm so good, I dont even use a tool to clean algae off the walls. I use a nerite snail.
Love the new setup, but would still recommend using an actual mic 😂 the sound is a bit echoey and hollow and a little painful if you are watching with earbuds 😅
will try to find one !
Yes, in the Philippines, we actually need a cooler, not just for the fish though.
yea hahaha
How did you know it was my favourite Monday show! 😬😦
lucky guess xD
I used to explore abandoned houses, never got up to anything else besides the trespassing.
the sense of adventure is awesome as a kid!
TH-cam did me dirtyy, where was my notification?! Also, your tanks are looking great!
if you got no notif, youtube done did me dirty too!!
0:35 camera flip got me tripped up
won't be happening again in the future, i just filmed wrong this first time haha
@@FishForThought 😂 camera curveball, still a great episode
Bro we don't need a heater in the philippines we only need cold mat it's so hot in there
your question at the end, what kinda antics did i get into as a kid/teen - Im not sure what the statue of limitations are on that i may have to get back atcha
lmaooo yeah don't say too much on here
got what i forst calculated as a 50gal at a goodwill for $20, its a 40gal but still a good deal. That was a while ago and now I rarley see tanks(used to see them all the time) and then its a 10gal for $20 which sucks since i JUST got my sister into keeping aquatic plants
the new studio is looking quite cozy
that's the vibe i'm tryna go for!
Qotw: brought home a live water moccasin/cotton mouth snake. Tried to catch a timber rattler. Petted a skunk and thankfully never got bitten, except by a garter snake. I have no idea how I survived my childhood.
lmaooo
i want to pet a skunk
Very new look, definitely like the tank; can't wait to see the vid on it
Tall narrow tank full of spindly driftwood would've been a *perfect* shrimp tank! Just picture an army of the little critters crawling all around 😍 But no. Goldfish.
Those pea puffers must be living in heaven though, tank is just *crammed* with lush plant growth!
That pleco tho 🤣
yeah pea puffer heaven fr
I used to grab baby fishes from the ditches, they apparently guppies. and I have loads of them at home
Personally I would love to see one with jungle val being able to reach its full 6 foot height.
the answer is: want pretty box w water n fishie, while not sacrificing too much floor/counter space, because its more convenient for the owners and they don't care about how the fish feel about it because they are just pretty things to watch
they do also sell comically large aquarium tweezers for use with tall tanks, so i guess if you were to look for it, you could find other comically long products (gravel vac? glass scraper?)
I was the kid who collect all types of kid friends that didn’t quite fit in. I was good of convincing people to do things. I definitely did not narrowly escape a class c felony because of family connections.
I really dig the new look, and that tank in the back looks so freaking good!
tyty!!!
One bad thing I did as a kid without knowing it was bad was putting sea shells on a car window then letting them fall down into the car. It was my cousins dad’s car, let’s just say he got a bit mad 😃.
My child with change gosh it's annoying 😂😂
I had a marbled crayfish a few years ago. I now have a crayfish farm for food.
omg are u srs lol
Love your videos! The studio is looking good, Kevin impression is sounding good! Can’t wait for next Monday to see the next video 😁
tyty!!
In the bathroom for 40 minutes but so worth it
hey welcome back!
omg lol
I tought we where the Sponsors of the video 😢
I guess I was one of thosegood kids. On May Day my sister and I would weave little awkward baskets out of willow branches and fill them with flowers we picked from the lawn like violeys and ding dong ditch them on our neighbor’s porches.
I have adblocker, but i respectfully watch the sponsor segments
I miss the microphone.
It gave it more of a talk vid feel and allowed for softer voice which was peaceful way to start the week.
Other than that keep up the good work.
i miss that too :(
QOTW: at my grandmother’s second wedding (she met her second husband in their nursing home 😭) I changed the labels for the tea and coffee canisters around.
I was a fan of very low-stakes pranks, apparently
low stakes pranks are the best
2:55 so true lol i always add water everyday to my fishtanks coz of evaporation
yeah!
He bought this shirt to look professional
To be fair search functions on forums are horrendous and I often can’t find stuff I know is there, even stuff I’ve posted myself
New room!!
YAAA!
We could see more of your tanks in the old setup to really give the fish crazed youtuber feel, and the white glare from natural sun on your face and the black couch kinda throws me off personally. but i’m loving trying out new set ups, and the big fish tank that is located closer to the camera so we can see it more up close. maybe just tweak the lighting a little bit?
btw great video cant wait to tune in next week
great vid and clean studio, defintiley need some more fish in the background IMO
I love the look of the new studio, nice work. The audio is not optimal. It sounds like the mic is too far away and or the room is too reverberant.
thanks so much! I will eventually fix that audio but yeah audio's always so challenging for me
My stock tank pond is getting plants this spring I’m trying to find cover plants that can out do my turtle and coy.
QOTW: My antics were kind of random, I either threw up on the bathroom floor or shoved my sister's face in the snow for teasing me
EXACTLY!!! Here in the Philippines, we spend our money of cooling fans instead of heaters. 😂😂😂
i even put ice blocks sometimes when needed 🤣🤣🤣
oh man ice blocks!!
honestly set looks better than before lighting is lookin good to i like it ! much love
tysm!!
Can't believe someone else had a carcrash with their new fish alongside them. The coincidences
I LOVE your Kevin impression
I was the boring and restricted child. My greatest act of rebellion was sneaking extra books from the library and reading them by flashlight in my closet past bedtime...
hey that's pretty wild to some ppl i'm sure xD
The New studio is actually much better ngl, caught me off guard though lol
Right of the bat, I Like the new scape, the mic from the old setup was a little too artificial for my taste. This new hidden mic allows for a much more natural aesthetic. Not sure about the hardscape, the TH-cam flex should not look like it's dangerously resting on the couch, hanging them a few inches higher would add a layer of dimension to the overall scape. Your lighting is superb, clean camera glass, Overall 4.45/5 keep it up
thx so much for the feedback! dw the plaque is definitely safe!
Congrats to 400k 🎉
tysm!!!
I lost a Molly to dropsy a few days ago
Just appeared out of nowhere and died a few hours after I put it in the hospital
The fish was beautiful, the darkest black you’ll ever see
Love the new look. AUDIO is mint. It's Fresh AF 🔥 5/5
oh my goodness ty!
Ding dong ditch.. with peeps. At 10 pm. We werent gonna eat the nasty things, so fugg it 😂
What you really need is water and fish. Everything else are optional. But you really ought to get some plants too. And perhaps a thing or two more ... or ten og twenty. 😛
Keven accent
“ 4.5 keep it up” 😂😂
I just realized that my betta fish makes crunching sounds when she eats, so cute. Betta fish asmr?
i always mysteriously leave my choir classroom on mondays to watch these 👀
6:31 finally a tank from India! ❤🇮🇳
Congrats Parikshit! Seeing goldfish in India being kept miserably, i felt good to see your tank! 4.85/5.
I HOPE PARIKSHIT SEES THI.
lets goooo!
