- Lets compare two similar truck of game, American Frieghtliner FLD 120 and russian Kamaz 65115. both are not road haulers and not suitable for offroad.

The kamaz is more suitable for offroad bcs its wayer higher off the ground. And its heavier at the back

I think most important part of such tests- its an offroad. So i propose to make it deeper...deeper mud, swamps, even for highway trucks

Do you think at some point you could do a comparison between the C-256 and one of the new road trucks? Except for the Western Star maybe, since it's a proper 6x6 so it would be a bit unfair. Great video by the way!

If the devs weren't nerfed the kamaz, it would be: fastest road truck, suitable for offroad. ( i would pick the c6522, because it has all wheel drive and diff lock ), for the change: c6522 it going to be a great replayment for the c65115( sorry for my bad english )

@@SD1ONE ok ok ok. So yesterday I thought "what ideas could I give sd1one for a video" then, I came up with this. Ford ltl9000 vs, you listening, vs A469... I know a weird challenge but A469 has all wheel drive and diff lock, so by ford ltl9000 not having neither, I wanna see if the semi-truck will win.
One more thing. Each challenge will consist of no loads since A469 can't Carry what the big trucks can.
Honestly if they would give you the option to have all terrain tires like on the Soviet trucks then the American wild trucks would be better. The ford ltl has slightly more grippy tires so it's the best besides the western star
I found with the Ford ltl big rig, if you stick it in low 2 it will go almost everywhere, unless the mud is very thick or very wet then while at a slow rate it will make it.
KAMAZ is much cheaper! And repaired with kicks and obscenities! KAMAZ is easy to put off-road tires which decides everything! Do not forget about the best rally team "KAMAZ master"!!! As a workhorse KAMAZ the best! KAMAZ stands for: Kam - Kama's, AZ - (auto-zovod) auto factory.

Are you sure you used the right Kamaz at the very beginning showing them off? Because there’s the Kamaz with the off-road tires (shown in the video) but there the street Kamaz with the street tires A.K.A the fastest truck in game.

hey can you make a tournament style video ro determine which is the best offroad tracktor. the compitition would be between the russian k-7000 and D-538 and the amirican K-8400 skidder and k-9000 forwarder. to see whats the best off-road tractor

The new 6x4 trucks are pretty good for being road vehicles. The Frieghtliner and the Ford have air suspension on the rear axles, which is good on road, but can't keep the wheels down on a bumby surface very well. The Kamaz (and all russian 6x4 and 6x6 trucks) have bogie rear suspension with leafsprings. This way, if one axle moves up, the other moves down, which helps keeping the tires down. The Bison has walking beam type suspension which is similar to the bogie type one but not as good.
Idea with horns is very good and funny.
Ok, we have KRAZ 4x6. It can connect to this great battles with American cars :)
And I hope, you don't forget about old good Soviet car, road monster and king of Russian off-road - ZIL-130 :D I think, this grandpa of Russian big cars is worthy to take part in this battle!

Sd1 u should put fuel installment on trucks when doing pull test
How about messure fuel consumption to see if that would make a diffrence between RU and US trucks so its just not just speed, and maybe do a fuel race at some point, longest stretch with least fuel consumed?

Good question, why devs hadn't added diff lock for Kamaz (on this generation they has diif lock between wheels). If add difflock in xml, Kamaz becomes better on offroad and more controlable on road. But, without modification it is weak.
@@SD1ONE I remember, that in original Spintires Zil 130 with chained wheels and difflock can go as far as Ural 4320 can. :)

Fun fact, the reason that the KAMAZ won the road race is because it has a 9 speed gearbox whilst the freightliner only has a 5 speed gearbox

One huge downside of the kamaz is the fact that it has 9 gears, which means top 3 gears are inaccessible for wheel users, as G25/G27 and G29 wheels only have 6 gears+ reverse.
Abother huge advantage of American trucks over russian ones is their power, you pretty much start in 1st and then instantly go into 3rd and then 5th no matter the load you have on them, while russian trucks struggle to get to top gears with load
@@SD1ONE keep in mind 5th gear is kraz is nowhere near 5th gear in stuff like chevy or WS. Also IIRC kraz does have issues uphills when loaded, you quite often end up having to got down a gear or 2. One thing in spintires still sucks tho, that is how does the game simulate engines, brakes and clutch.
Brakes have huge delay, engine doesn't feel like an Internal Combustion Engine at all, RPMs are all over the place, there is no real difference in torque, if you look at the files there aren't even any torque curves to begin with. And then there is the gearbox and clutch, IRL you should be able to start with a big Diesel truck without touching the gas easilly in 1st and if you press on the gas then starting in 2nd or 3rd shouldn't be an issue. Also there is no Low/High range which would definitely bring a bit more involvement to how the vehicle operates.

0:40: use lower capitals, only big ones for names and the beginning of the sentence "Both of them are strict road haulers."

Well lets put it this way, would the Freightliner work if the size of the engine would be equal to the Kamaz? American trucks might be big and tough and down right over powered but in a way that is their downfall except for Volvo FH16700 very few trucks are as strong as american trucks have to be because of their size and lenght.

The russian truck is better in mud water and deep mud the american is only good for roads and hills but even then to steep of a hill the american truck is stuck with its main wheels are in the air.
