Hi. We are a volunteer clean up group formed in the summer of 2023 -24 to help Gymea Bay Baths and the surrounding area ( including the Baths car park) to remain as rubbish free from plastic bait packages, drink bottles, lines and hooks that unfortunately were being left behind in increased amounts . We have had a great relationship with fishermen down there but simply ask that the fishing community or any other visitor to Gymea Bay Baths take any rubbish with them and / or use the bins provided at the facility. Please encourage your "neighbour: to do so also. By doing this you are helping preserve the local wildlife, the beautiful natural setting and making the area tidy for the next person who wants to use this wonderful facility.
Just wondering if you could mention how important it is to clean up before you leave. There are volunteers who clean up after fishers every day in order to keep this spot from looking like a rubbish heap. Thanks buddy.
I will ..And remember not just volunteers ,fishos also pick up after fishos and rubbish in general. No one wants a spot ruined and plastic in their seafood

I ask people not to swim there ,, the block out they wear , the antiperspirant , is extremely bad for the water quality and the natural environment

Bro get your self some mince meat and the yakkas will go crazy for it. The only thing with mince is its very hard for it to stay on the hook. Try it
