The Elder Mr. 'n Mrs. Adventure here. I waved to you from our home in Anacortes....on the hill overlooking the ferry.....but you missed it if you were having coffee in the van. Still...I had my cuppa at the same time.
Welcome to our world.....we settled here only 23 years ago. It was magical then....as it is now!
We know we are on the "downhill slope at 88 years old" but it isnt as scary when we see this beauty everyday. Brittany, you mentioned wondering how the cold would be in the wintertime.....actually not too bad. We laughingly call it the "banana belt"....but in truth we are in a microcosm that keeps us from the harsh weather that areas to the North, South and East experience .....the winter usually brings just enough snow to be a treat.
As to owning a boat.....we considered it, surely....but decided having friends that own boats was the better deal. All the fun without the expense....works for us.

A dream come true!? LOL Drew, Your sexy deodorant-ad voice-HILARIOUS! Oh man, I laughed so hard! OK, we’ll have to buy some Native! Nice to see all those boats social distancing, right? 😁 I spent every spare moment of my life (from age 25-35) on boats exploring the Mississippi River through Wisconsin, Iowa & Illinois...not full-time, but LOTS of time. Camping on sandbars, anchoring in the backwaters-Life on the water is hard to beat...ditto for VAN life though! Glad to see you get a taste of “a life of luxury” on that beautiful sailboat!❤️
I bet you have some real great stories from those years!! We find ourselves craving water when we have been away from it for too long. Glad you had a good laugh from the commercial. We really like the native and that's coming from a guy like me who usually goes for the cheaper more basic stuff. I'd don't know if I'll ever go back. We had fun with this one! 🤗

14:07 We stayed in one of these beach houses. When I was about 12 years old, we borrowed a friend of friends vacation house on Lopez Island. It was magical, exploring through the eyes of a child created fond memories. Seeing the phosphoresce in the waves, and hunting for "sea glass" on the beach.

What wonderful friends! There is something heartwarming about getting to the stage in your life where you can pay it forward from all the opportunities that have come your way through the kindness of others. This couple clearly enjoys welcoming others along to share in the moments they are having in their lives. I am at the age now where I want to seek out the struggling twenty-somethings and do something nice for them because someone else supported me in some small way or another at that age and helped me get to where I am today. Such a different feeling than back then when I didn't have two nickels to rub together and had to count every penny and work my darn hardest. I can fully see the two of you doing the same thing as you go about in your journeys. You have attracted like. Thanks to both couples for sharing your space and experiences for the day.

This video pulls at my heartstrings! It was my late father's dream to build a sailboat and he spent ten years doing so while working full-time and singlehandedly raising me, his teenaged daughter, at the time. In my early twenties, I was fortunate enough to be able to travel with him for six months on his 38 ft. trimaran from Canada, down the East Coast of the US to Florida. I credit him for my sense of adventure and wanderlust. As Drew came onto the deck in the early morning, I was reminded of the many mornings I would wake before everyone else and sit on the deck peacefully watching the seabirds and the fishing boats heading out to sea. It is a lifestyle like no other! Thank you once again and I look forward to the next national park adventure.

I've always thought I'd love living on a boat, just never got the change although when I was younger, my family went on a lot of fishing excursions on my Dad's outboard. Every year, my Dad would get 2 weeks off and we'd head for the mountains of Idaho and lots of different lakes. He was an avid fisherman, so we were on the water a lot. Miss that. Wonderful life; thanks for sharing.

Delos is gonna have to change their name. Lil Nugget (Sierra) has stole the show. I loved them before the daughter was born but now. I'm in love with them all 3. I can't wait til she either walks or swims. They call her Nugget. I think she is a mermaid sea goddess princess. Those lil white teeth w huge smile,gets my heart Everytime. They are great hands on parents her mother is a sweet beauty but when her and Brian are together. Oh it melts my 💓. I spent alot(still do at 50) of time growing up w my father. Dad and Brian have one huge shared task. A daughter to tote and teach everywhere and everything. Lol. I've been hunting as a young baby/child as much or more than most lil boys these days. I'm so proud of my father. Sierra will be also. Have a great afternoon.

i was on a sail boat a few weeks ago in bainbridge island (across from Seattle). my friend and his girlfriend were doing all the sailing, while i just sat there and pulled on ropes now and then. it looked so stressful for them, because they were dodging ferries and barges most of the time while navigating the winds.
yes those waters are especially busy these days with the Canadian waters being off limits! but glad to hear you were able to enjoy the ride 🥰

OMG I literally missed you by two weeks. I was on San Juan island when the smoke was blanketing the area. I couldn’t see anything from the ferry. What a beautiful island! There’s a coffee shop that serves the best gluten free goodies ever. It’s across the street from the rental scooters. Have fun!! I fell in love with that area!
Oooo it's like we were with you in Spirit!! next week's episode is all about San Juan Island actually! And I think we saw that coffee shop, but it was closed by the time we got to it (they all seem to close by 2 or 3pm). Gluten-free goodies... especially muffins and scones are my weakness 🥰
I love all your videos so much! This one especially touches me because it has me feeling so nostalgic, melancholy and happy all at the same time. I grew up sailing with my family. My dad loved sailing and loved sharing his passion with his children. I have so many great memories of learning how to catch the wind, be patient and enjoy the stillness of the water if there was no wind, and in my dads opinion turning on the motor was only for the impatient or unskilled. Lol. Nothing beats sleeping on the water IMHO. My mom was always happy to prepare everything to make our trip wonderful with yummy food even though she wasn’t really comfortable on the water and couldn’t swim, she knew my dad loved it. My parents adored each other and were such a great example of what unconditional love is. I lost them both far too early and miss them every day still. I’m remembering so many little details of trips that I hadn’t thought about in many years. Thank you so much for invoking all those memories.

Mr and Mrs Adventure ❤️ Dandy was a rescue. We got him when he was 2 after his first mommy transitioned. 😞 He was already named but it’s perfect for him. He’s the light of our lives. My “late in life baby”! Lol.

Yep spending time on a boat like that is very relaxing when I lived in Florida I had a friend who had a 3 mast schooner sail boat I think it was 60 foot anyway we go out for weekends it was great I love boat but Unfortunately for some reason I get sea sick now I don't know if it's age or what so enjoy take care stay safe stay strong stay healthy god bless✌❤🤙👨🍳🎅🚌👍

You're making me homesick. We used to go to Orcas Island 2-3 times a year before we moved to Florida. It's so beautiful there, but YES it does get cold. We've had snow on Thanksgiving on Orcas in the past. Is the couple you traveled with from Lake Oswego, OR? I used to live there!!

Drew and brittany, I have something special planned when I've been following you for one year, there's been countless ways how your relationship with each other, your videos and the things you stand for in life have either given me confirmation that I'm doing well or have actually healed some kind of trauma in my mind so in December of this year I'm going to list all the ways you made a difference in my life.
This particular video was one of the more moving ones because I haven't had the urge to go out on a boat, it'll be 40 years this July since my dad traded our family boat for drugs and because he was sharing the drugs with me, I haven't been swimming in the ocean, or a lake or out in a boat in 40 years 😭 and suddenly I want to dive into something, even a 🛁 would work at this point.
The only thing left to address is my inability to look into a fire, even when I adjust the stove I look away quickly so I won't be reminded of the arson fire, I was displaced for 30 years afterwards. I have a strange feeling all you would have to do is start a campfire and make s'mores and all my traumatic memories would be a thing of the past, just like what's been happening since December of last year. I don't know what makes me more happy, you guys and your videos or the fact that I turned down the post-traumatic meds the doctor offered me, so I guess in essence, your videos are better than a 💊.

Yes your rite. I can imagine a woman's skin that would make it vibrant and healthy. Or a man too. I've read an article lately on sea kelp(I think was name) and another type. It looks in the water like wilted greens my grandmother loved to cook also eat. She is a green food eater now 93 be 94 feb.11. She has 3 gray hair in her whole head. I just turned 50 and I show way more wrinkles than my grandmother. Maybe I should change my diet and start gardening as she did. You have a nice afternoon.

Yeah. I was kind of a hippy kid. I tried it when I got my first engineering job, but then the rashes, so I decided I could just do without it. Haven't missed it in the least! Who knows what damage if any it does alerting your system's natural function...
I would shower every morning before work in those days. A touch of patchouli on the clothes (but not so it touches my skin because that causes rash, too).

Well thank you for that! Really legit. But here's the thing with me -- I've never been a regular user of deodorant. I broke out when my mom got me some in high school, I said F this and just kept myself clean the ensuing 40+ years. Honestly I just prefer natural scents. Maybe the occasional micro-drop of patchouli on certain clothing items. But you folks should do well - sponsoring awesome people and even taking the time to view the comments... God be with you!
