I got lucky recently and found a pair of like new Edgetek boots with frame and wheels at a garage sale for $50. They felt too small for about 10 sessions but got better and better. Now I really like them. Can finally skate many days consecutively without problems. Best boots I’ve ever had by far but ’ve only had about 5 pairs and no customs.
I got some that are a little too long. Will it cause problems if there is room at the toe? Do I want my toe to go all to the front like I want in my Derby skates? There is about 4 cm at the toe. The rest of the boot seems good. The width in the toe box and the heel seem good. I haven't tried skating in them as then I can't return them.
Main challenge is finding boots for different foot sizes. Accomidating wide, high arch and/or high instep feet are not mentioned in maketing material of the manufacturers.

I recently bought my first pair of speed skates and hated how they fit. They were too narrow and my foot was numb within 15 minutes. Do you have any suggestions on finding a boot that is wider or where I should try to sell the other boots given that I cannot return them after using them? Thanks!
They're supposed to be uncomfortable because you're sacrificing comfort for performance. But if you truly feel like you need a bigger size, then go for it.

Not in this video. My best personal experiences when it comes to long track is Viking boots. They’re incredibly heat mouldable and of descent quality.

Wrong boots would be any boots that don’t fit you or provide the qualities that allow you to skate safely, fast and comfortably :)
