what he's saying about mastering your own music is so tru. the more you have to play it back over and over just makes you so tired of the song before its even done. even if you notice something you dont like in the vocal performance, n have to rerecord, the energy is no longer present due to how many times youve played back, as well as how many other things you're thinking about regarding the mix.

This is exactly why I almost NEVER rap on tracks I produce. By the time I am done producing it, I don't have the same connection with it to record on it. But if I hear a beat I did not make, WAYY easier to write to. It used to make me think I wasn't making good beats, but it's more I personally have heard it too much. Gotta strike while the iron's hot.

I really like the conversation and everything he’s doing for himself and for other’s I also have a studio at home and mix myself but learning myself I’m always self taught
You can be self taught but this convo is to show ppl that on a professional level with industry artists it’s a team effort and not just one person doing everything. Like he said to learn how to mix it’ll take some time fr and it’s not gonna happen overnight.
It's 2022, a single person can do the work of 10 persons.

Bruh the part on having someone else mix your music is crucial. For me, I’ve been recording myself and mixing it. The repetition from doing that solidifies the lyrics to heart as well as experimenting with your voice and sound even further. Once I get a decent mix then I’ll book studio time and drop the cash to do it proper. Just my thoughts on it. Stay blessed bredren.
