this one has jaycen joshua vibes. when you are volume automating sends for verse, pre chorus, etc. This double with the mids satruated on FF Saturn is pro tho. genius.

Love the video. Little confused though with the lead vocal track being a stereo track in the daw. I get sometimes we as mixers can receive stereo stems for everything, as it appears here, but isn't it best to render/sum individual vocal tracks (especially the lead) as a mono source, given it really is recorded as a mono source?
One example: If you had a Adt to the mono vocal and you render in stereo, then you have a stereo vocal track. You can check the stereo information on the vocal with any a good EQ.
Luca, those of us who speak Spanish also want to learn, lol. Could an AI or a person interpret what you say. My English is very little. Thank you for teaching us
Luca and Reid, thx for the free gems! One quick q? What is the side chain compression trigger on the reverb bus directly after the Valhalla reverb? Thanks!
Probably sidechaining to the dry signal of the vocal, so that the reverb is ducked a little bit when the singer is singing, and then it opens up a bit when there singer isn't singing.
What are you sidechain the vocal reverb from? Doesnt seem to be the kick, is it the main vocal? Im confused because it doesnt sound like that either lol
i could not understand when he said without level how is he able to send reverb I use Ableton and I could not fully understand this can someone help me out
Would it matter if the saturation goes in front or before reverb? Also, why not use a vocal chain effect. Can you do the same thing by sending a return track pre fader?
It would matter because neither reverb nor saturation are linear operations, which means that order matters. How much difference you would hear depends on many things, but in this specific case I think you would hear a quite obvious difference. If you put the saturation first you get natural reverb on an unnatural vocal. If you put the reverb first you get unnatural reverb on a natural vocal. The latter may be useful in more extreme cases where you want a bit more extreme sound.
I don’t really understand the point of creating a duplicate if you re doing it prefader, why not just send the main to the reverb since you are saturating on the parallel?
He duplicate but he since apply reverb 100 percent wet. And he puts zero predelay which means no way he ll phase. That duplication acts like a reverb bus my friend, the reason he does it this way later it could be easier to see it as an individual channel which can be grouped with other individuals and can be used as side chain input👍🏻cheerz. Its fucking genius btw i love this dude
Bro this technique is fire wtf. The fact he uses studio one makes me appreciate these videos much more
facts because how everyone is about what being the best daw to mix music
Wow. Studio one. That is the best DAW I ever used. Still using Studio One until now.

that is My question too
Keep it on a stereo track, mono is only when recording

You're a God 🙏
Luca, did you mix the backing vocals completely dry? At least in this video it seemed that way, In terms of reverb I mean.
Thanks a lot Luca for sharing this with us... please what software are you using to record your screen
This was recorded with screenflow which is available in the Mac App Store. Not for windows
Obs studio is good for windows alternative

The head nodding puppet is still in my mind...insane...

Jeez 😢🔥🔥🔥
The production is very ameture
Nice video.
very nice brother
Saludos fuerte abrazo ⛽️🔥🔥🔥
plss tell us in which lecture u mix divine
Like how he did a low shelf on the vocals instead of a cut to avoid phase shifting
Interesting 🧐 ✅

Mixing and mastering services?
or just youtube videos etc?
Why does the Plugin in the reverb bus say Pro-Q4, but when you open it up, its just Pro-Q3 👀

what’s the point of the pro Q being so high up like that? when you were cutting the low end
Hey how did he get fab filter pro q 4 it’s not out yet

Same question… can we get same results in Logic Pro? If I will make duplicate I have to turn on volume to send my duplicate signal to reverb bus
Side chain vocals to synth. I also sidechain my bass and kick. Anything else to sidechain?
you can use sidechain to duck your vocals reverbs to the dry vocals!
👏👏👏👏
wow
Check your email and Facebook messages guys. Cheers, Conan.
Great fucking vid!!!!
U DONT HAVE SUBCRIBSION TO UR PLUG THEY DOPE BRO MAKE ONE SO WITH CAN USE THEM 2
Does all this work with FL?
Which frequencies are you cutting/ boosting with the eq on the vocals?
Problem frequencies and frequencies that sound good
9/10 times you are either cutting or shelfing anything up to 100-180hz depending on male or female
also the mic and preamp that was used to record it is always a factor
whats the name of the song

The pros mix with studio monitors, but I have a hard time mixing without headphones
wrong they mix with both you can mix with headphones ones your know your phones well enough and it must be flat
Why you don’t have phasing problem if you duplicate the lead vocal?
Mid/side eq will take care of that
@@Rck-vert Got it, thanks

What is a Grammy Engineer? Nominated or winner? if so, what are the wins?
what is difference between low shelf and low cut ?
Better phase stability with shelf

why not just put the saturn at the begining of the reverb bus...
I notice that all the vox tracks are stereo
You explain everything with plugins. What are the tools in front of you for?
It's probably more for mastering.. But I know Luca can mix and master inside the box or using outboards..
