Wilton Bullet Vise Modification Making The Base | Welding Table Upgrade P3

  • I fit a Wilton Bullet Vise to work on my welding table. My welding table is setup for a 2" x 2" standard hole pattern. I make an adapter plate to fit a 3-1/2" Wilton Bullet vise. This way I can mount the vise in any position on the table. The vise has been modified to make the use use of the vise easier when no mounted at the edge of the table.
    Check out the Wilton Bullet Vise Modification video to see how I retrofitted the Wilton Bullet Vise.

    Very nice build. Looks too nice for welding splatter. Hopefully it is a TIG only table. Should be very useful. Thanks for allowing us to follow the build.

    This is a great welding setup....
    Don't forget to cleanup and flip it vertical right after every project, or it will become just another horizontal surface allocated to projects on wait.

      Thanks Pierre. I have done that already a few times. Cleans it right off.

    I like it, especially the holes at 45°, nothing annoys me more than a vice that rotates even tho it is tightened down!

    Hi Randy,
    Great project and well executed, I like the captive bolts and the fixed angle adjustments for the vise.
    Another eight bolt holes and you could adjust to 22.5 degrees.

    G'Day Randy - She's looking very good, Well Done!
    I put a wheel hub onto my table to make it rotate - They're cheap and easy to get and are already built for heavy loading. I'm just a bit shy about hammering on it in case I hurt the bearings.

    • @RRINTHESHOP
      @RRINTHESHOP  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good idea Anthony. I don't hammer on this table. Thanks.

    Just a heads up. Your audio will sound better the closer your mic is to your chin. It has to do with a thing called the microphone proximity effect. Your voice will have more character.

    G’day Randy. The table came out nice, one day you’ll fit folding wings for bigger jobs:). I like how you locked the vice in the angled position, nothing worst than a vice that moves when your working on something.
