Hi, I enjoyed your video, once I completed the changes how do I save and published the video intro and if I need to change the Text how do I load up the video I created to make any changes and in what format is the clip save.
Hi Carlos, thank you so much for your comment and I'm glad you enjoyed the video. To change the text, most templates have seperate Comp for each text, you can change it there. And for saving and publishing it, you can either publish it via Adding to Render Queue or Media encoder, both are under the Composition menue.
You can also import the whole AE project into Premiere Pro and export it as H.264, MPEG4, etc.

hello my friend, move the curser along the timeline, maybe some text appears after a few seconds (check the properties of each item/layer). Also check if there are any hidden items (shy layers). Hope this helps. Thanks

For the music you can import an audio track, simply drag it from project panel to composition panel.
Also if there are any audio tracks alrrady in your template, you can delete them or simply disable by clicking the speaker icon.

I've just downloaded a video + text template from EE, the original template has been designed in line with an audio file/track which I had to download separately. Question is, how do I import all files (video + text + audio) and get them to work in its orignal form (in sync)...? thanks a milion!
hi, if you have the audio file, you can simply drop it on the timeline as an audio file. Also mute any audio that may come with the original template.
regarding import of all files, it depends on the template, in some templates the creators will include all the video files and images but some don't (all depends on if they have the distribution rights / commercial license etc)
For the text, again, without looking at the actual template, i can't say for sure, I'm assuming you mean the captions file ? if so, try to add it as a captions / speech to text file.

I'm a complete newbie to AE, thought I'd save a few bucks and who knows I might even enjoy the learning curve. If I understand you correctly, once I drop in the audio file it should sync correctly without any adjustments (as the creator designed the video+text in sync with the audio file) so all i need to do is edit the text?

From what you mentioned, it looks like simple drag and drop, but if its not fully sync, you can always adjust the track (chop and move the audio on the timeline).

hi, I don't think its possible. Envato mostly have After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci resolve and Apple motion.
Try checking Wondershare Filmstock, they seem to have templates for Filmora.

do you know how to change the duration of scenes? Sometimes I need longer than the default duration. This is more complex than editing images. I have not found any tutorial on the web, yet.
Go to composition>sequence/sequence settings>you can rearrange the time duration.

How can I edit the timeline so I can add more photos? I've been going all over the internet searching for the information..
Is it possible to delete an entire place holder, like not use it at all. When I deleted it, the transition still happened with a white background.
Hi, yes its possible. Once you've deleted the placeholder, it will leave gap in your final comp, so make sure you bring the remaining comps forward so there is no gap.
Also double check if there are any hidden transitions in the main comp which you may need to delete.

Hi, you need to change the composition duration in the composition settings. If its a comp within a comp then make sire to adjust the other comps as well, else they may overlap

Hi, I'm not 100% sure about the long duration ones, but try Mixkit or Pexels or similar websites, or even Envato. You can also try to loop the video if its short and you want to make the duration longer. or use slow speed to make the video duration longer.

Hi, How to export or render the project? When export/render it the original template is showing and it says I can't save anything as it's a locked project
hi, how about you Save-As your project first then render.
I select the 'main-comp' composition first, then go to File -> Export -> Add to Render Queue
Please make sure you have selected the 'main-comp' composition , not the 'main-comp' folder in the Project panel before adding to Render Queue.
Please also check that template you are using has no restrictions from the creator.

hi, if the projects are part of the main Composition, then you need to make the sub comp as a seperate comp or delete the other comps from the final composition. Should be fairly simple to do.
I downloaded logo animation template I wanted the background to be transparent it didn't happen I couldn't remove it

dear, as long as you can run After Effects on it, then it should be fine for most of the templates. You can select your Resolution to either Half or Quarter so at least it won't slow down your editing.

Can you explain what to do when after effects just stops exporting on its own? It's always happening with these Envato templates.
hi, without looking at the project file, its difficult to say what could be causing it. Do you get any error message, normally that can point in the right direction, either part of the file cannot be rendered, corrupt etc etc.
How are you exporting and in what format may also be worth checking.
I normally export via media encoder, or import it to Premiere pro if i need to cut and chop.
@@GFXKapture so I don't get an error message, the progress bar just stops at the same frame ex 399/600. Stepping away for 30 minutes I returned and it hadn't progressed. Computer still ran fine but after effects was unresponsive. I would have to force quit in task manager. I would export as AVI, RGB + alpha. Disk has terrabytes of space and 64gb of RAM. Running a i9 10900k and RTX 2060 super. I did see that the template was made in after effects v11 and had to be converted. All assets/files were loaded and nothing was missing.
Try deleting the frame (399 for example). Also check your rendered is on latest version , im assuming it is but just in case
Also may be worth importing the AE project into Premiere pro and see if you can render/export over there.
I keep getting a warning saying that the file is locked and I can't save changes. Anyone know how I can resolve this please?

Wth I'm still having problems getting all the files when I download it on envato elements. I get these error messages :sorry (blank) is locked you can't save this and "some files are missing" how do I fix this ASAP
Hi, sometimes the creators won't add all the images in the compositions, so it will show files are missing. About lock files, im not sure, do you have full access to envato? Im just thinking they may be locked if you dont have full access but ive never seen a locked file from envato though

hi, Envato mostly has templates for Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci etc. I mainly work on After Effects and Premiere Pro.

I find Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro better and quick to learn, so if you need anything done quickly, they are your best bet.
For the cost, you can get All of the Adobe applications (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and the rest) for around $50 a month subscription (unless you can get an offline version from eBay or something like that).
I use their subscription service, the good thing about that is that you get every latest update, full fonts library, support etc.
If you follow my channel, I cover both After Effects and Premiere Pro , so you can hopefully get started with your project and animation in no time. :-)
