@@kono_ryu It describes what he *THINKS* he's saying. This theory is actually completely true, and is cannon. His goggles make everything seem absolutely beautiful and kid friendly, including his words which he doesn't realize he can't speak, or so I think about that last part.

I probably misunderstood that part, but I do know Pyro seed the world differently to anyone else. For one, Meet the Pyro tells us this
In the very beginning of me playing video games I started off with TF2 on orange box, and immediately discovered Pyro as my main. After getting a PS5 and getting Overwatch 2 I had to find the equivalent to Pyro. That's how I discovered and why I main Mei. It's impossible for me to choose I side for this rap battle.
I know I struggle but I have to stick with my roots but I miss orange box

Here's my analysis of some of the lines that I liked from each verse and my overall opinion of who won.
The first verse didn't really have anything crazy if you ask me.(excluding the Pyroland part) It felt more like both of them were just saying generic stuff. Though there were some lines that I did like from both sides.
Mei:
'He's not a gifted linguist' - pointing out how Pyro mumbles all the time(though her calling Pyro 'him' contradicts with the next one)
'Could be female-take your guesses' - Not really a diss, but referencing how Pyro's gender was never really confirmed even to this day.(Also that fem pyro model tho)
Pyro:
'I'll vaporize her just like steam' - 'Vaporize' and 'steam' is pretty self explanatory. But it's also jabbing at the fact that Overwatch is not on Steam(and that they'll make her non-existent like how Overwatch is on Steam)
'Just go back to Cryo, Mei' - Cryo - Freeze is one of Mei's defense moves. So Pyro is basically telling her to run and hide.
It's the second verse where I think things heat up(no pun intended). However, I think Pyro's lines hit much, much harder than Mei's do. Mostly because some of her verses can be easily backfired or don't really add up.(adding to the fact that she's not really hitting direct roasts that are designated for Pyro; she's just throwing vague insults and threats here and there which is pretty weak)
Here are some examples.
'You're only good for flanking' - Although that IS partially true, a phlog + scorch shot Pyro can be a nightmare to deal with. Also, airblast.
'Why the mask? I won't ask' - Hmmm......a person working with fire wearing a gas mask? So weird......(this also doesn't rhyme with her next line)
'Put some cold on those burns' - What burns? If she had actually dissed Pyro with some legitimate points that are SPECIFIC to the Pyro, this line would have had more weight. But if you only just pulled off the generic 'Oh, I'm so much better than you are' card, it's not going to hit as hard.
Some of Pyro's lines actually had weight, on the contrary. Like the ones below.
'Why did you bring ice to a firefight?' - Pointing out that since it's a rap battle, they're supposed to be trading 'roasts', hence the 'fire'fight, but Mei's verses are so weak, Pyro's basically calling them ice cold.
'I'll airblast it back at you' - Pyro can airblast projectiles. Pretty self explanatory.
'You'll wind up just like your team did' - When Mei and her team went into Cryosleep to survive, all the cryopods except Mei's malfunctioned, leading to all the others perishing, which devastated her.
The third, final part where they both trade lines, despite having REALLY good flow and just being cool overall, doesn't really hit as hard for me, mostly because I think the lines they are saying just doesn't fit their characters.
If we were talking gameplay-wise, the last part would fit much, much better, but considering how their characters actually are, the 'We're so cruel and horrifying' vibe just doesn't do it for me (I say as I'm watching a rap battle lol ). Pyro sees everything in Pyrovision, so everything they're doing (regardless of how horrible it may be)is coming from good intentions. And Mei is a heroic character who is fighting to make the world a better place for future generations(One of her lines is 'This world is worth fighting for). So to me, it doesn't seem they would describe themselves as 'cold-hearted, cruel and ruthless' (Although the players might be a different story...)
Overall, I'm going to have to give the win to Pyro. Flow-wise, I really liked both of them. Mei's rhymes were really good and Pyro's mood swingy vibe was just plain awesome. But in terms of disses, I think Mei was just underwhelming compared to her opponent.( Though in her defense, there really is not much known about Pyro. The Pyro has been mysterious and anonymous ever since they were announced, so you can't find much to diss about them. ) Though she did make some good references here and there.(Like the winter coat and skates verse, which are literally in tf2 as an item and a taunt) In conclusion, this is an awesome battle and I really like how the video was constructed. And it just shows how awesome both these characters can be!

This feels more like two eccentric people debating whose methods are better in causing chaos and misery.
How did Pyro have, like, ten lines singing about wholesome stuff and their disses were still better than Mei's?
Probably cause mei cant really dig into pyro and diss anything worth dissing. Literally nobody knows anything about pyro other then he is crazy and was a good business man after the team disbanded. Mei had her entire team of friends die...that's pretty easy to throw at her and have stick.
