Please do a muskie or pike detailed swimbait, I have always wanted to see you attempt that. Keep up the good work though and can't wait for the next vid. 😊
@@russelward7368 I bet a pike would tear that sucker up.you put a bit Texas rig hook in the front down to a treble hook as a stinger hook that’s the way to go
I have tried both the worm and swim bait blend of dead on floating plastic. I can't get it to hold up durability wise just swimming it through light weeds. Is the black bucket a stronger plastic or am I doing something wrong? I do make sure it is 350 degrees before injection
I was curious if you were going to flash the bubbles with a torch to pop them. Just like when pouring epoxy. I’m watching the beginning of day 2 and thinking, remelt the runners!
That is a lot of grubs and these look great!! I have actually caught some nice smallmouth and largemouth bass on grubs just like these using the beetle spin lures! I figured that you were right when you said about 2000 all together. Your channel is really great and it is neat to see what creation that you will come up with next. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing some more of your work!
A really cool video Chris. I've been fishing for a week and a half, and came back to you going over 70k subscribers! Now we are going for 100k. Thanks for the video, and congrats for the 70k!
How much did you spend on all that equipment to produce plastics? Me and 2 of my buddies want to start making them and we don’t know where the budget is for all that.
I just have a couple of questions First you said at one point in the video you turned down the temp on the pot, what did you have it set at and second is it ok to leave the lid on the pot, im always worried about condensation. Awesome video by the way!
That's crazy! I've always felt like I paid too much for them, now I'm inspired to make my own. I do a lot of American shad fishing every year and we typically use bright panfish color small grubs on a small jighead. This chartreuse and a cerise color are the top two choices. Not that other things don't work. My favorite is actually a dick nite spoon with a chartreuse tip. I've also done well with the two tone brass/nickel.
Congratulations on the 70K. I don't know if you've tried this or not but I have used my vacuum chamber lid fits on top of my melting pot. Man that was a lot of grubs
Hand on the Heart i can hardly catch Anything on grub lures . small swiming fishes around 10 cm for perch and smaller dropshot lures seems to work for my fishing . What do you Catch on those perch bluegill crapies ? larger curly tails for pike lure tails sure . Just put 50 in a bag and sell them dirt cheap ? / Paul Roger Nilsson- North Sweden
Hello from Lackland love watching your videos I want back in the hobby so bad I can taste it. Anyway love the video and thanks for all the hard work you do.
I'd say you would probably get at least half that many again if you remelted the runners! If you do decide to "send them out amongst the world" I'll take some on the other side of the Pacific!🤣
Honestly, the whole lake thing was the most interesting part of this video. First, a sinkhole drains a lake, then the police find human skulls in the sinkhole. Only in the 2020s.
To me techniclly you haven't used all the plastic as about a third is wasted. I feel you need to remelt the plugs and sprues to get a full count. Cheers John from Oz
Two things..all the Injector plugs were remelted.. secondly, in the production bait making world the large Injection machines do not remelt runners... This is actually a very accurate representation of how a gallon of plastic is used in the high production capacity.
Awesome and thanks for the clarity. I've never made plastics before so therefore didn't know the process. Been watching your channel for some time and I'm super keen to have a go. Thanks again for setting me straight 👍
Did you guess correctly??? How many grubs did we get???
Please turn on CC!

Part of me wants to see a run of those in the water, see all those tails kicking lol.
Yes😁
I wonder if you could catch a giant bass on the whole runner with the grubs still on
@@noahmertz9251 Be hilarious and hard to rig, but I'm sure there's a monster out there that would try to eat it. lol

Dang, you looked really warm making all those grubs. My favorite color grub for American shad.
What temperature do you regulate your Presto pot too?
I just invested into one and would love to know? thanks in advance
I am interested in the 2” or 2.5” single tail molds. Any chance of getting 1 or a few of those two sizes?

will the cheaper presto pots work fine? do you prefer this method of heating vs. microwave? ive had problems burning plastic using my microwave.
What size of glitter would you say is the best do it all size im looking at getting 10 colors to start
Are you selling any of these? Would like 50 of each.
its always a great day when Chris uploads
💪💪💪
That vise going closed is epic...u my have to do that 4 every video......great content chris
I agree it's maybe the coolest shot I've ever gotten
Cool to see how you would do a bigger run. A library nearby might run a fishing program for kids, they'd use em' up!
Awesome video Chris! Congrats on 70k!
Is it hard to keep the plastic from burning in the pot compared to microwaving?
I’m just starting out and the info on your channel is great! Lots of good tips for beginners.
Glad it was helpful!
Congrats on 70k! 🎉🍾
💪
I want to make a custom mold where should I do it?
Chris Hampton on Facebook
I think this color would have looked really good with medium red flake or that blue Mico powder you use in the mint chip
I was curious if you were going to flash the bubbles with a torch to pop them. Just like when pouring epoxy. I’m watching the beginning of day 2 and thinking, remelt the runners!
Not that many..much quicker to scoop out
LOL thats a ton of grubs! Excellent video! Crappie def love the chartreuse
I would definitely like to use those here in Texas to see how many crappie I could catch! Love the videos bud!
How much did it cost to get one of your molds cut by a CNC machine?

its amazing how a big bass will hit a small grub
You may have said it in the video but I just didn’t hear it but what type plastisol did you use for the grubs?
Dead On Plastix
Meant thickness of the plastisol
Hey Chris, it would be cool to see you come up with some cool creations with the iCraw mold from Do-It.
Don't have that mold tho
So how much is a gallon of the stuff to begin with? Assuming you already have all of the tools, does it compare in price to pre-packed product?
about $30 for a gallon

Do you make jig bodies that are discontinued let me know thank you
you should do panfish grubs in "fire and ice"; I wonder how the tails would look...
Once again awesome video. Fun to watch and you caught a tank of a fish.
Glad you enjoyed it
I would love to try those up here in NJ... They look great!
thx
What mold is it?
That is an insane amount of grubs! Cool to see what a gallon can make!
A ton

How long did it take you to knock those out ?
was expecting a number closer to 2500, figuring you were going to remelt. Did you end up remelting any of the runners?

What is he using to cook the plastisol?
Was it carrol baskins husband in the sinkhole?

didnt really time it and split it up over 2 days
